Today, I did not think much of this cashier who worked at the Princeton, NJ Target store. She hardly wanted to help me much with getting a price off an item. When I asked her to take the item back to the shelf to get the actual price, she did not initially want to even bring the item with her. When I finally found the price tag had stuck to my purse while this cashier was away in the aisles looking for my price, she came back with the incorrect price $45 ($15 more than my item). When I gave the price tag to her, then right in front of herself and her register, she read my item now being $30, which I told her, that was the price, I saw and another Target staff told me. This cashier did not apologize that she was wrong. Or even just to apologize for her mistake at all. I did not think much of her serving the public. read more

I received an email indicating that my item shipped with FedEx, however, there was no tracking number. I had to call the help line to find out the tracking number. In doing so, I had to speak to someone in another country that I could barely understand. This is "AMERICA." Okay, to make a long story short this is my first and last time that I will have my order delivered from Target. If I can't pick it up at the store, I will not be ordering any items. Virtual Assistant is horrible & will never replace man. No matter how much money you try to save by using virtual assistance to replace people it will eventually fail. read more

In the pre-Covid days, I used to work down the street from here and would use their order ahead and pickup option on the way home from the office. Now, curbside pickup is even easier. Problem is, the parking lot at this store on the hellish route 1 corridor is a crowded cluster compared to the stores a bit further south. Between than and changing jobs, I can't speak to curbside here. Today's experience involved buying a hat. I'm not much of a hat guy but am heading to a yankee game tomorrow with boo (begrudgingly on her part) and a friend coming down from upstate ny. Figured I'd "cop some merch" as the kids say and they reported having a grey yankee SnapBack hat in stock. Well, they didn't. There was ONE yankee hat buried in the entire area of the sports crap. I found a classic navy blue one amidst the Phillie hats, grabbed it, and got the hell out (after paying of course). Well, upon closer inspection the hat had some damage on the back that I didn't catch in the store. It was a discoloration that wouldn't "buff out." Fortunately I caught this while still in the parking lot, and it was a breeze to go in and return it for a refund. The cashier (and line) was quick, friendly and didn't even make me swipe my credit card again to process the return. So it's a decent store. If you live/work around here you know to expect chaos. Be careful in the parking lot and on the drive to and from, and your target experience should be as decent as any other. A cut above Walmart..."always!" read more

Might've been the planets(again) but it was nothing but fail since I pulled into the lot... first off the lot was swarming at 4pm on a Tuesday, then the store had a bunch of ubermoms with little broods of kids all over, then the main thing I was looking for they didn't carry... to top it off the signal was ass and I couldn't transfer funds over on my debit card. This Target seems void of the crowds that generally make Target shopping strenuous. The aisles are wide and clean and checkout lines are shorter at least during the times I shop here. I mostly visit this Target for In-Store pickup for online orders which are always quick and easy. Unlike other merchants which require what seems like a a full background check for pickup, target in-store pickups at this Target are far easier and quicker. read more

Nicely kept organized and clean Target. Usually very well stocked. Excellent Customer Service on returns. Never a wait there. However, they need more cashiers. That line is always long. Thus only 4 stars. Special discounts for Circle members helps, especially when gift cards are discounted! Clean and well organized store. Great place and good people around. read more

Just threw away the third package of spoiled food that I bought from this location over the past year. They obviously don't care about the health of their customers as the bacon I just threw away expired in November of 2021, and I bought it last week. In the past year I have had to throw away a tub of mashed potatoes and a container of roast beef for the same reason. Disgraceful Target! Your employees are always in the aisles getting in the way of customers to stock the cold containers when I shop there. The least they could do is actually check the dates in the inventory, and removed expired products. Suppose I'll have to be more diligent to check them myself, but there simply shouldn't be products on the shelf that expired 2 months ago! read more

In the past I have generally liked shopping at Target but am very disappointed that the quality of their store-brand merchandise has sailed south as they squeeze every penny and every supplier to maintain razor thin profit margins. About eight years ago I purchased some casual dinnerware from the "Target Home" collection that I really love and guests have frequently commented on. It's heavy, well-made and glazed perfectly. Over the years with chips and drops some of the pieces have been replaced with a new Target store brand called "Threshold" as Home is no longer available. Big mistake. While it looks exactly the same, Threshold is a completely inferior replacement that is not only far less substantial but upon repeated year-long use has developed black streaks on the surface. This dishware is neither abused nor used as a Frisbee and while the earlier Home product remains pristine the replacement pieces are ready for the trash. I'll probably purchase an entirely new set leaving Target completely out of the transaction. When you cut corners, you lose customers. Consider me lost. read more

This Target is in a great location. It is right off of Route 1 and Nassau. Because of the close proximity, I stop here just about every time I stop for groceries. This store is usually well staffed and you can easily find someone if you need help. The lines at the register move pretty quickly and I am rarely waiting to check out. I only have 2 small with this location are the hectic nature of the parking lot. Since this is such a well trafficked shipping center it is a rather stressful parking experience. And my last issue is that there is no Starbucks here. Because of these 2 things, I would much rather visit the less hectic Target in Plainsboro that also has a Starbucks. read more

I love Target, but this store is a little bit stressful. Yes, I understand Target is a large store, but this location it seemed like everything was at the wrong place. I needed to get floor cleaner, and it was totally like with the other towels, and other stuff where the cleaner should not be. Apart from that, they do have a great number of cookware, home items, toys, and great large variety of everything else. Staff is friendly, but I was completely confused in this store, and there isn't a lot of staff to help you. Despite there was one sales associate, and helped me find what I needed. This is a pretty standard Target. My wife and I have been here a handful of times to buy groceries and a few pieces of furniture, and we pretty much always leave happy. Sure, the selection for groceries isn't as great as Wegmans or something, but it's not bad. The employees were helpful whenever we had any questions, and it wasn't too challenging to find someone to ask. I'm sure we'll be back soon, as Target is our main one-stop-shops whenever we need to buy something random :) read more

Defending the castle GM = Mike, AGM = Mike, Manager Alex & African American Associate who took my returns, how about getting a life and learning that it's not ok to humiliate a customer and interrogate them if they don't have a receipt and are returning brand spanking new merchandise! Nobody has the right to interrogate someone for paying with gift cards obtained at Target when someone says I used gift cards to pay for my transaction and don't have a receipt any longer due to the timeframe that went by when I originally purchased my items. I was humilated in front of other shoppers to say the least. Corporate was no better! Calling and complaining these days about employees at these big box stores, is like talking to the wall. Nobody gives a damn about your side, and as the GM Mike said to me moments ago, when I asked for a $100 gift card for my horrible ordeal, "if I had to give out gift cards for everyone's issues the store would be closed and out of business". I totally get that, but at least try to work with a customer, instead of saying we'll discuss with team members the protocol, and make sure it's addressed, which is the same as saying to me: "to Go F__K Myself!" He could care less about anything I had to say and brushed me off the phone as soon as he could, to probably get to a meeting or something useless he was handling at that time that I called. read more

Unfortunately for everyone some staff at this Target did not make the effort to socially distance from customers walking into the store. I found that while standing still staff would walk alongside or directly towards you. This is quite different from other Targets in the area. I don't think it's the staff's fault-- it looked like they were in a big rush and under a lot of pressure to be getting things done. That's a trickle down management issue. read more

This store is incredibly clean! The employees are very helpful when asked, though they don't proactively offer assistance. There are very few employees around the store, but the ones who are there are attentive and informative. The shelves are well stocked, and very neat. There is no store guide available, so I had to roam until I found what I needed. read more

Great target location!! All items are in stock. The best kept secret in Target is the pick up and drive up services. With drive up you can order ahead of time on the app and you can effectively do curbside pick up. The pick up service is the same, except you go in the store to a separate counter. Both services are very fast here. The nice Starbucks in the Target store is an added plus! read more

Very subpar. This is just one of those Target stores that stick out like a sore thumb in an otherwise pleasant chain. Yeah, their stock is the same as every other Target (and that's pretty great of course). However, the thing that makes this branch suck so much harder than the rest is the sour faced employees. Everyone from the cashiers to shelf stockers to the return people come off as having huge attitudes. Ask a simple question or even just move up to the counter and the the eyes start a rollin'. It's very Walmart-ish (which is very surprising). Usually Target is far better than Walmart as far as employee quality goes. Here is basically the same. I have no idea what the issue is. Maybe management is beating employees after hours in the loading dock. Who knows? Whatever the story may be, it is really a major turn off shopping at this branch. read more

Worst target ever! The cafe is always closed! There are boxes all over the place blocking the isles. When I look on the app to see if something is in stock 9/10 times I get there and it's not actually in stock when the app says it is. Probably because everything is still in boxes on the floor. Target is a great location for any shopping. I like the new food / grocery area. The target brand foods are good quality. I like their pumpkin pancakes and flavored coffees. Also, be sure to browse the "dollar" area by the front entrance. Great deals. This store is usually well organized and things are easy to locate. read more

So I just wanted to update my review for this target because of the cafe and something that happened recently. I was there with my grandma and saw that the cafe was actually open for once. We wanted a cup of coffee and maybe something else. Now at this time it was clearly open a couple people eating and a cashier there (on her phone but there). We walked up and stopped a looked at the menu for a minute now this is why I'm updating my review. Me and my grandma were standing for a good minute looking at the menu we didn't just walk up but the girl looks up from her phone finally, looks at us, goes "oh shit" runs off to the side and turns off the lights to the cafe. She comes backs and I ask if she is still open and that we were standing there about to order something and she goes "sorry we just closed you missed us" and I tell her we just want a cup of coffee and if we could just get that. She said no and walked away. I don't understand why your cafe is closed ALL THE TIME you can have it open and have an someone just keep an eye on it when people want something it used to be open all the time and now it's never opened and the few times it is shit like this always happens Target managers get your shit staff together read more

Target USED To be my absolute favorite place to shop, but the Nassau Park location is a complete MESS. Clothes all over the floor, miscellaneous items strewn all over the place, so sad how much this store has declined. I used to think it was because of the "renovation" but I was wrong. This has to be the worst Target in the area. My purchase experience yesterday was beyond terrible. I went to Guest Services to make a purchase that required coupons which wouldn't scan at the register. Instead of holding up the regular line I went there. I was the ONLY person in line. I was told by Sabrina, "I don't have time for this, I don't feel like working" then proceeded to hold off on ringing up my purchase. Apparently, when people aren't in line (which i was) she has to sort returns. Great. I've worked retail during the holidays so I understand how frustrating it can be. After the 3rd time she told me she didn't have time to help me I told her I didn't have time for her to tell me that again. I asked for a manager which was even worse than the associate. Mark, came up assisted Sabrina with something else and walked away. I waited. Finally, after 10 mins I went and got Mark myself. He said he can ring me up at the photo counter (mind you my items were at Guest Services). When I got there he then refused to honor the store coupon policy that if it doesn't scan but the product is correct the store will override and manually enter it. I told him it's Target Store policy to do so. Mark said it "was not his policy to do so." He was then surprised that I refused to purchase the items and left the store. Of course I called customer service to leave a complaint. No customer should be treated so rudely. read more

I'm waffling back and forth between three and four stars for this location. It's generally clean (even the bathrooms) and carries the typical huge inventory. However, the clothing sections are often VERY messy, particularly the lingerie. I know customers can be very inconsiderate and often leave things in a worse state than that in which they found them, but it would be nice if Target was able to keep up with this to a greater degree. read more

I have never had any issue with Target in Princeton until today!! I returned a shirt I had just purchased yesterday. Typically when I have returned items the customer service representative speaks (just common courtesy) espevially before the holidays. The young girl I had didn't say one word to me at all, she handed my receipt and I walked away. I thank god looked at my receipt to see that the money went back on a giftcard I threw out the day before during my visit at Target because it had a ZERO balance left... Normal people throw out giftcards that have a ZERO balance. I went back to the same girl and explained to her that the card she put it back on no longer exists. The girl then gave me an attitude and said "It went back to some kind of card) I explained to her I understand that but the card I used was a giftcard and I threw it away. I told her she was rude and typically when ever I have returned something at Target the cashier asked "Do you want it back in Cash or back on your Card) considering the young girl didn't say two words to me, did the exchange and sent me on my way I had no clue what even happened and I would of given her the option to give me cash or whatever else because once again the giftcard no longer exists. The manager came with a hateful attitude and I ended up getting my money on a Target giftcard but it's the simple fact that their staff today was completely rude and unprofessional. read more

Today I was in Target at Nassau Park Pavilion making a return. As I was in line at guest services, I couldn't help but overhear the loud conversation that was going on next to me. A customer was giving an employee, whose name I think was Mike, a very hard time about how an ad in the weekly flyer of coupons wasn't marked correctly. I guess whatever Glad product she bought wasn't part of the promotion and she was yelling at the man saying they need to promote their product better. She then started getting louder and started cursing. The employee then nicely said to her that he didn't like to work with people who curse and that there were children around and it wasn't necessary. The woman was extremely nasty to him for no reason, like he was the one who personally wrote out the flyer, and I don't think it should go unnoticed how well and professionally he handled the situation. I think target speaks for itself so this review is for targets pharmacy. best pharmacy i have used compared to cvs and walgreens. the staff is super friendly and there is never a wait longer than a couple of minutes. my prescription gets called in monthly and it's always there, no problems. I never had that at cvs or walgreens, even if it was called in it was never ready and i had to wait anyway. my days of looking for a better pharmacy are done! read more
