Absolutely awful customer service. I went in to the store to buy electronics with a value of more than $600. There were 3 clerks and they were chatting among themselves. I had to walk up to the group and ask for help. The gentleman who decided to help us seemed not too happy that we had interrupted his chat. When I asked for the location of the device, I was told "Over there," as the clerk vaguely gestured to some location a few feet away. When I asked about the store warranty/return policy, I was told that there was none. I then asked for the manager. The clerk apparently got very angry. He hemmed and hawed. I asked again. He got even more angry. I again asked for the manager explaining that I just needed more information. He reluctantly called a manager over. The manager was standing just 10 feet away. I got my question answered and then decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

I was there today to pick up a few things . While waiting in the checkout line near the mall entrance I could clearly see a few employees of Target having a loud conversation littered with many F bombs . Has this gotten so acceptable . Doubt I'll be back . read more

This experience is for drive-up shopping. I've always had good experiences with online ordering here. Items are in stock, packed carefully, and easy to get at the clearly marked drive-up section of the parking lot. Moreover, this store being in tax-free Delaware is a big perk if you're someone like me who often travels the Northeast corridor. Prices here are cheaper than many other Target stores in the region, too. And there is a great assortment of Philadelphia Eagles gear. Overall this Target is always on my list to visit when I'm in the area. read more

Buyer beware. I just returned from Target in the Christiana Mall after purchasing a Dymo label maker. After opening the box, I found an incomplete assembly with no instructions or added label cassette cartridge. This is an instance where someone opened the box, either returned or pillaged, and instead of an employee removing it from inventory decided it was okay to include it on the shelf. Now, I'm inconvenienced and angry. Ultimately, it's my fault for not checking but at the end of the day, the consumer places a certain amount of trust in employees that have been specifically trained to do the right thing. read more

I am so excited that we will finally have a Target in Middletown. Currently I shop online. Delivery is always fast, and prices are usually in line with other retailers. I often wait for sales, but never have to wait long. Recently I bought bed sheets for 30% off. The quality is great, and comparable products at Walmart were much more expensive as they were not on sale. Amazon prices have been ridiculous for a few years now. I avoid Amazon as much as I can. read more

Unhelpful! Today I went to return an item from my baby registry which I had a gift receipt for but regardless was from my baby registry's with Target. Also I wanted to return a few other baby items that weee gifts not on the registry that I didn't get a chance to return over the last couple months (because as a working mom to an infant there is noooo time). So the young lady that first helped me was very pleasant even through my tiresome breakdown at the register. I could tell she wanted to help me, however needed her manager to override the register to complete my return. Mind you I was ok with a store credit. So the employee called over a manager I believe her name was Nicole. The manager comes over and scans the items and said " I can't help you with these returns because they are over 90 days of purchase". As I continue to emotionally breakdown due to lack of sleep, due to insomnia, due to no help with my infant and postpartum, I just needed a little help like geshh you act like I stole the items . I understand there is a 90 day policy but seriously this is no help to moms. It would have been nice if the manager showed a little bit of empathy and understanding. But no compassion was given and therefore I will not be shopping at the Christiana Mall Target going forward. I rarely go into Target and now I definitely will not be going into the Target at Christiana Mall. On the bright side I contacted Target customer service and they advised me on how to return the items so I drove to another Target and was able to return 2 out of the 3 items. Which is strange when that item was unopened. But I guess Better than the "I can't help you" attitude I received at Christiana!. Especially after reading other reviews on Target's policy. It is manager discretion on issuing a store credit. So shame on you Nicole!!!! Perhaps my review won't mean much. But I wanted to at least express my thoughts and feelings. read more

Not sure what the one person is talking about. The bathrooms are vile here. I've never seen anything more unkempt anywhere else. They are always short of cashiers and could not care less about it. One cashier was taking her grand old time wiping her place as many people were waiting in line. She was definitely moving at a snail's pace purposely. When we asked her if she was open she nonchalantly said yes. Her area had an overpowering smell of windex. Not a lot of options when it comes to grocery. Definitely don't come here looking for a good target experience. How are you attached to a mall, and NOT have bags? You don't even have reusable bags. There is no bag van, because other stores have bags.

The employees are extremely rude, they seem to not care about the customer at all. I would not recommend shopping here!

Went to pickup a phone I ordered online and was immediately told that the only available service rep, Josh, was still eating lunch and required 20 more minutes before he could see me. I was disappointed, but I figured I'd kill time and walk around the mall. I get back half an hour later to see Josh has completed his lunch break, and he tells me he cannot find my order or any store inventory of this phone despite them sending a "ready to pick up" email. To conclude matters he was clueless on how to cancel the order. The nice lady at the front made a few phone calls and finally got it cancelled. Target does a lot of things right. Selling cell phones is not one of them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more

Stopped in here to pick up some snacks,sunscreen and few other items. It was very clean. The workers where very friendly and the one gentleman went out of his way to help me find sunscreen walking from one end of the store right to the aisle it was in great service. The cashier was friendly and very polite. I have never been to a target attached to a mall but seemed to work pretty good to draw business in. Will return when in Delaware again. read more

Bathrooms really aren't that bad. I'd rather go into a target bathroom than a Walmart bathroom any day. Plus, I love that this place has a family bathroom. Super useful to me now with an infant. I do wish they had bathrooms at both ends of the store, not just up front. Other than that, it's a typical target. Awesome selection, pretty clean and a Starbucks. My fiancé has had bad experience buying produce and bread from this store. They mold pretty fast in comparison to a food lion or acme purchase. His theory is that they don't rotate their products often enough. read more

Had a terrible experience picking up an online order here. The manager I spoke to clearly didn't understand the issue, and when I asked to speak to the store manager said that the store manager wouldn't help. They claimed this was due to the website deals being different than the store - this is despite me ordering online for in store pick up. I'm sure some amount of the difficulty was due to the holiday rush, but this was a terrible experience and I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere, even if just at a different location. Very unprofessional, and I won't be shopping here again. read more

As chain, I love target. They carry things I like at reasonable prices. However, I found this target to be a downright mess in multiple areas. Stock not in the right area or disorderly. I'm legit 20 years old so I'm not your average stay at home mom who likes to just complain on Yelp bc they have nothing else to do. I'm saying this bc something needs to change here. I am an avid shopper so I'm always in different stores. And this by far is the worst store I've ever been in, and especially the worst Target I've ever been in. And that's being compared to Kmarts, Walmart's, Sears, Sams Clubs, BJs, etc. The bathrooms are absolutely horrendous, random items are shoved on shelves (if they have any of that item at all), and there's trash EVERYWHERE. I went into this target last week and saw at least 4 half drank or empty soda cups placed around the store. And I actually saw a worker stop, look at one, and keep walking. Like seriously? There's never more than 3 cashiers open at a time. And the lines are always outrageous. And don't even get me started on the bathrooms. I went into the bathroom and came out gagging on THREE separate occasions. Dirty diapers were left near the sink, feces and urine were all over the toilet and there's so much toilet paper everywhere that it looks like someone TP'd it. And that's like every time I go in, too. Also, they make all the starbucks drinks wrong. I worked at starbucks and know how they are supposed to be made and the workers always take shortcuts and don't put in the correct amount of ingredients. so basically do yourself a favor and just go to the walmart nearby. the bathrooms are better and it's cleaner and more organized. the manager and core staff at this target suck. you can tell when you walk in. read more

For the level of traffic this location has, it unfortunately needs more carts for the sake of accessibility. I unfortunately can rarely shop here because the carts are always in use, and I see that a lot of fellow disabled people shop here. Hopefully corporate can supply that for this Target! read more

Located @ the Entrance to "Tax Free Heaven" - The Christiana Mall - Amazing - @ how many people actually flock to this place to take advantage of this "Duty Free Zone" - I don't think its fair to say that you can reliably come here and do your food shopping; But - they certainly have a wide selection of item and the price seems to be right. I'm confused @ this new app thing that they have - which gives you a better price on things. Than again - I didn't download the app. Seems to be a shortage of associates walking around; but than again - this is the norm around the US these days. I would come back. read more

There didn't seem to be anything different between this mall Target and any other standalone Target store. Availability of merchandise and store policies are the same. I rarely need staff assistance but the service counter does a good job. To me, the main downside to this location is the mall access road and parking lot with construction detours and heavy traffic at times. read more

This target always looks like it's ransacked and super super packed with people who come shopping after they hit the mall. Good for business but bad if you want to get anything you're specifically looking for cause they probably ran out of it. I try to avoid this one cause of the foot traffic and it's a little messier than other targets I've been to, nonetheless, target is a good place to shop overall read more

This Target location 9165 is a disaster!! I walked through with my nieces and nephews today July 2nd 2019, and to be honest I didn't even want to shop there, almost every shelf in every department was a mess! The toys were looked horrible with half empty shelves and toys piled and shoved every where with no team members to be seen straightening or giving guest service! . When we walked by the clothing to look at accessories looked like a tornado ripped through there with clothes piled every where and all over the floor! This target location used to be very nice. I'm not sure what happened over the years but it needs some work. The store is completely blown out of everything. One of my favorite spots in target is bullseyes playground. The merchandise here is non existent. It is a complete mess. In my opinion this area should look the best because it's the first thing you see when you walk in. The lines at the service desk are awful. I have done a couple in store pickups here and ended up canceling because the line was so long. The shelves throughout the store are empty. I mean so empty that you could physically lay on them. Staff is not friendly. Will walk right by and not acknowledge you. I would shop here more if the store was right. But for now I'll go elsewhere. read more

This target is the messiest target I've ever been to. Maybe due to the high traffic. But what really disgusted me was the bathrooms. DISGUSTING. they were out of toilet paper in a few stalls and the one stall that did had a residential "roll". You know, the one we all use in our homes. It grossed me out that I had to touch the roll to use it so thank God I had wipes in my purse that I used instead. Toilet paper all over the floors and NO SOAP in the dispensers. I saw commercial on TV to visit a target store for help on consumer cellular cell phone. There was a promo for free month that I wanted do before it ends. I purchase the phone on Saturday before Easter. Black shirt tech guy was looking his phone and not very interested in helping me. Sat me down, stared at computer, his phone had headphone on and walk away from me, a paying customer to help other customer. I told him I was first and I asked him if he was going to help me and he says "he don't know". I return my phone and left. Also, he walked by me twice and he smelled like he didn't shower in a week and mumbled. Didn't have customer service etiquette and had bad hygiene. I would give him zero rating if I could do that. I want to share my horrifying experience at this location, I used coupons at self scan which worked just fine, out of nowhere a sales associate pushes pass me and deletes the coupons stating I couldn't use them ( I'm not a couponer so I wasn't sure how they worked anyway ) but I didn't give him any issues about it I just told him I no longer wanted the items as he was already un-bagging the items and telling me I had to pay full price he didn't even ask me would I like to use any other coupons. So as I was scanning the rest of my items that was in my cart I heard him speaking loudly to another associate saying " watch her she might try to walk out of the store without paying for the green detergent that's in her cart " so I confronted him letting him know I heard everything he said so he tried to lie and say he wasn't talking about me which he was because I was the only person in self checkout with green detergent in my cart so he just stood there like a deer caught in headlights and says oh I'm out of here and walks off, I was so furious and embarrassed because I know if i heard him saying that I know the other customers heard him as well! I asked the associate he was speaking to what his name was and where the manager was she told me his name was "Matt" and the supervisor was "Jessica" I explained to Jessica what had just happened and she stood in my face and said that's what associates do, so i told her I would hope target doesn't train their employees to accuse customers of stealing and she just stood there with no explanation so I called corporate and explained everything and I was eased by the conversation but target claims to not see color that's bs because I'm African American and I know he was watching me from the moment i stepped in self scan just by him rushing over to me to tell me i couldn't use the coupons when i never asked him for help nor did the self checkout alert him that whole experience was a nightmare I spend too much money with target and I'm canceling my credit card with them and I'm going to share my experience with everyone I know and what makes matters worse is NO ONE APOLOGIZED!!! read more

The lines are usually pretty long. The shelves are poorly stocked. But the worst part is that the bathrooms are always horrible (no TP, "mess" everywhere, smelly). This is the first time I review for Target. Even though this target is a little bit unorganized, but still one of best targets I've ever been. All staffs are nice and helpful here. They are more patient and willing to help you than other targets. For Disney toys, their price is much better than Disney Store in the mall. read more
