Honestly, this Target is probably one of the best in town, I'd highly recommend this over the other locations and trust me, the customer service here is so much better than the other locations. There's so much available in the store, that if there is anything that I need, I can always count on stopping by this Target to ensure that I can get it. The selection is fairly good and there is a Starbucks in house as well. The one in Target does accept the Starbucks app which means you can redeem your birthday treat here in store at Target while shopping! Occasionally, I like to swing by and do some grocery shopping along with getting other home good items, it's always super convenient, plenty of parking space available and it's usually very neat and clean. Definitely a to-go place with plenty of options on picking something up. read more

Stopped here to pick up some stuff during our recent trip to Madison. They didn't remove the anti-theft tag from the swimsuit my girlfriend bought. This is one of my pet peeves. So she couldn't use it. We returned on our way back home. The Customer Service agent we talked to then was very apologetic and friendly. That is the only reason I am rating them 3 stars. read more

I actually love this Target! I come here about once a week - it's always clean and well organized, in my opinion. The self-checkout is huge, which keeps lines moving fast. I usually gravitate towards the food/beverage, makeup, clothing and home decor sections, and I've found that they're rarely out of things that I'm looking for. I will say that the Starbucks inside this one usually takes a very long time...but other than that, good experiences here! read more

Not one checkout lane open on a Saturday night at 8pm. I was told rudely by the manager to use the self-checkout lane which had close to 20 ppl in line. I felt bad for the employee working self-checkout. She was frantically trying to help guests and sanitize between each guest. read more

I love Target!!! I can spend hours here just browsing around the store even if I have nothing to buy! This location is pretty big and nice. Not the newest and things do look old compared to newly opened Target locations, but its a nice location! Layout of the store itself is a little different from the 'traditional' Target stores but its very similar! The beauty section at this location is quite different but seems to me that they do carry most of the stuff people like. All aisles are nicely shelved and stocked as well as clean. Staff working here say hi to you and thought that was nice. Self-checkout registers are usually closed a little before closing time but this particular location was still available around closing time (11 pm). Plenty of parking available and theres 2 entrances on each side! My boyfriend ordered something online and picking it up was very easy and quick process! read more

We were visiting Madison Wisconsin and needed a few items. This store looked like a bomb went off! All clothing areas were a complete mess, couldn't find anything, clothing all over the floor and no one to help. I will not go to this store on our next visit. Will go to Walmart. read more

Yeah, it's a Target, but wow! I have never seen so much liquor on the shelf in a Target store. Beer, wine, hard liquor. Really? Clearly the alcohol laws are different here and I don't even really drink. Too bad. It's not a Super Target, but it's big enough to pick up a few necessities and nice an dclose to the hotels. I am here way too often for my (wallet's) own good. I drive by it several times a week, though, so it's not my fault. It's just so easy to run in and grab something...and then another thing...and then quick check the clearance racks...and then the hodge-podge of stuff on the clearance end caps. Part of why I keep coming back is they have a pretty decent savings set up. 1) Coupons that print with your purchases that are actually for things you buy. Thanks, data mining! 2) The Target debit/credit cards give you 5% off all purchases and grant you free shipping with no minimum order. Surprisingly, I have not abused this, but it has come in handy a few different times when I can't find what I need in store and just get it sent. 3) Their Cartwheel app. Again, totally a ploy to data mine/market research, but whatever. Scan your items and see what has secret discounts. I practically live here, they can know my shopping habits. I've been impressed by staff at this location on several occasions whether they've gone digging through the stock room to find something that's showing as available in store online but hasn't been unpacked yet, have walked with me through the store to find some random display, or have recommended other stores when they don't have what I'm looking for. My wife and I were driving by and decided that we needed to pick up a couple things on our way to Verona and it was a pleasant experience. As far as Targets go, it was a good store. We were asked if we needed help with anything and all of the customer service associates were really nice, on par with most Target's that I've been to. All in all, this was a good Target store that I would feel comfortable with stopping at again. read more

I avoid Target, for the reasons I love this store. To be more clear, it is a known fact that one comes into Target to buy a single item, then leaves with like 10 items. For this reason, I try really hard not to go to Target. I buy everything. Totally agree with other reviewers when they say how great it is to come by and look at all the clearance sections. When you see a great deal on something pretty cool, why would you not buy it? While I'm at Target, I have to look at EVERYTHING. Do I need everything? No. Maybe? Well, this Target has everything. It's usually pretty quiet on weekdays, and I appreciate that. I'm sure that can by said of many Target's but this one is close to where I live and that's pretty important. read more

I went there and noticed a few quests walking around without masks. No one told them to put one on. Disappointed! When I asked a guy in the electronics department for help, he was rude. I was in the middle of a question and he just blew me off to help someone else. He literally told me that he couldn't help us both! Very poor customer service. This is my go to Target mostly because it is very close to my house and I am here way too often. Staff is usually pretty friendly including cashiers and the employees at the service counter for returns. They are usually very fast and seem to know what they are doing. The only this is they never have enough cashiers going and you tend to wait in long lines at this location. Also their self checkout is awful. I don't think I've ever used and not had to flag down the employee, who is sometimes there or sometimes you have to wait forever for someone. Example: if you use coupons you don't just slide the coupons into the slot like at other grocery store self checkouts, you need an employee to type in several codes, and you can wait a while for those codes. I usually avoid self checkout if I can but end up waiting in line a while. Other than that this is your run of the mill Target. read more

This Target is my go-to for everything and anything I need. I love it because I know where to find anything my heart desires, but I have to admit that it has since aged. It's not shiny and new like some other Targets. Because this Target is mostly visited by suburban moms, it's incredibly well organized. In comparison to the Target on University Ave that's closer to downtown which always has clothes on the ground and shelves all mixed around, you will see that this is the far superior Target. There's a small eating area with the classic Target options like the ICEE and hotdog, as well as a Starbucks. Also has a Target Optical which I haven't gone to since they changed doctors, but it has always been a good experience. read more

Strange to review a Target, but lately this store hasn't been as appealing. The layouts have become a little confusing. My friends and I have had trouble locating basic items such as tools, home supplies, and even kids' items. The placements often seem illogical, grocery area now included, as well. I'm a shoe connoisseur, but sadly the last few pairs bought have been terrible. Sneakers wore out immediately, sandals broke at the toe after one week, and heels lost shape after one wearing causing nasty cuts all over my feet. While obviously I don't expect great quality from Target, a little higher end would be nice. Photo machines in-store are great, but online from home setup needs work. Very slow and unorganized. Also, went in to pick up a few groceries last week for a big cabin trip. Found bags of potato chips on sale, but no French onion dip. Finally asked an employee who informed me they no longer carry it. Seriously?!? Chips but no dip? Kohl's and Hy vee are seeing more business from me now. Sorry, Target, we had a good run. read more

I really like Target. It has started to become a problem. This Target has a lot of different options ranging from food to home goods. I can usually always find what I need and more. There are two entrances, which is very helpful. The store is layed out really nicely, the one entrance has guest services and the dollar spot. Guest services is one of the best at this Target. The staff here are very pleasant and always willing to work with you on any issue you have. They are knowledgeable and quick on their feet to solve any problem. The dollar section is one of my favorites here as they are usually fully stocked. They keep it pretty organized until the season is over and the customers make it messy. But this store throughout is clean, pleasant and simple. The sections of the store always seem to improve. The women's clothing and accessories has changed dramatically and has a very modern feel to it. I can always find what I need and if not there is always an employee that can help me. This store has a lot of different options to choose from even when it comes to brands. If I cannot find something an employee will always go out of their way to look it up on their iPods and search for it online. The only thing that I would improve upon at this store is the check out area. There are not usually enough staff to check people out. It starts to feel like Walmart where you are waiting 15-20 minutes just to be checked out and leave the store. It is very hard for them to be fully staffed here all the time but hopefully that can change soon. The self checkouts are usually the way to go at this store. If you only have a few items I definitely recommend walking to the other end of the registers to go through these, as they are fast and very easy to use. I will continue to shop here as it is my go to store for the smaller things on my shopping list. read more

I'm not a huge Target person. I occassionally go to browse for work clothes. I was on the west side of Madison and needed to kill an hour. I went to Target and it was a mistake. I went to the restroom that smelled like old urine, toilet paper cover all the stalls floors, 3 stalls with no toilet paper. It wasn't just the restroom that was filthy. I tried on a few pieces of clothing and the fitting rooms had dust bunnies on the floor the walls looked like they've never been cleaned. read more

This Target has always been a bit awkward (even when it was, for a time, known as "Target Greatland"). The layout is different to any other location I've ever been in and I just find getting around difficult. Apart from that, the product selection is good and it's even got an extended grocery range. I think we can all agree we have a target addiction problem. I had to write this because I've had really stellar customer service experience at this location. Returns are always a breeze, I can call ahead and ask for assistance locating furniture items in advance. I even had a guy on the phone in the toy section help me shop (and recommended items) for my nerf gun needs, the day I planned a surprise ambush with friends on my husband-at an empty house we just bought. All around really great. Also a tip for those with an occasional sweet tooth, Tinkleberry cupcakes are sold individually in the produce section. read more

You know what you are getting when you go to a Target. You expect quality merchandise at a moderate price. This target has that. This Target also had terrible service. I like Target, but not this one. This morning I purchased a DVD that was in a locked security case. I stood at the counter for seven minutes while the clerk paged the manager on duty to unlock it. The manager never came so I lost patience and returned it. This store Also never had express lanes open so you always will wait in line. Target stores overall are definitely my favorite big-box stores to visit. They don't always have the lowest price on items compared to other stores, but they are usually quite reasonable. I have had both good and bad experiences at this store, which I typically visit at least once per week. Most of the time I have no trouble with this store and have had good interactions with most of its employees. However, when I tried to buy a new TV they brought the wrong one out of the stock room. Unfortunately, I did not realize until I was pulling my car up to the store that I had been given and purchased the wrong one, and I had to go through a bit of a hassle to get the correct one. read more

An incredibly weird and snarky place to work. Having worked on my own for quite sometime, I was offered a part-time job here, and decided to take it. I was mostly indifferent to the mixed group that I worked with. Favoring a few over the others, but hey, that's my right, and I'm not interested in a career with Target. I found the female management staff to be inexperienced, and actually kind of immature. Again, I was mostly indifferent to the staff, these were not people I would normally socialize with, but I worked hard, as fast as I could. If that wasn't fast enough, I'd be the first to agree I'm not a very good stock boy. Thats not how they work at Target. Their comments are snarky and veiled. bordering on sexual harassment at times, but that's nearly impossible to prove. Anyway, they won't provide specifics about your work performance, because they know they want you to do what can't be done. Basically turn an overnight train wreck, into Macy's elegance, for peanuts. So, tonight, the setup started with ETL Claire, posting last nights workplace schedule. I looked at it, didn't notice the date, I mean the least management can do is provide up to date information. They have all day to place the current schedule in place. So I positioned myself, on the floor, instead of on the slightly more difficult "line" in the backroom. Then the fix was in. Claire would whisper over the P. A. for me to show up in back on the line. Its almost impossible to understand the staff normally, since they mumble into the microphone, I didn't hear her. OK, that make is look like to a couple of hotheads back there, that I'm avoiding them, or the line. Not so. Finally Chris, the overnight manager, finds me on the floor, and says I have to talk to Claire, NOT that I'm scheduled to work on the line. (So Chris is in on the fix too. Earlier, I had offered to show him some architectural concepts to pass along to management, his retort, in front of all the staff was " No, I want to keep my job". (So today, he's gloating about his $213,000 sales today alone at the store - Madison West-, as if he had anything to do with it. Basically, they feel Target can do anything they want to)) So I ask Claire specifically, not knowing that she had replaced last nights schedule with tonight's new schedule, what specific characteristics make it desirable for me to be called onto the line, since there was a "light" truck delivery anyway, and since they don't seem to like anything I do anyway. She said, look at the schedule in her usual petty snarky manner. I could see the setup immediately, and told Chris, simply I don't want to work with Claire on subsequent nights....(period) Chris called me back to his office later, presumably after chatting with "good ole" Wisconsin boy made good ($50,000/yr guy Rye), the store manager. I was fired, terminated, all sorts of claims of complaints from staff galore cited, that I was totally unaware of. If there wer so many complaints, why was I kept on, in a temporary position anyway? The collusion continued though. Anika personnel manager, pulls out an income tax form, and alludes to the fact that she will not Direct Deposit my final check, instead she will mail it (? wha). Not good, and weird that Direct Deposit is disrupted, and even weirder that Anika (HR manager) doesn;t know the policy regarding final check, and whether it will be direct deposit, or thrown in the garbage can. I told her specifically, that I see no reason to change the direct deposit arrangement, and she has my correct mailing address. Leave it as a direct deposit, unless policy prevents final check to be a direct deposit. Returning home, via $30 dollar taxi ride, which I'm sure will be deducted from my paycheck) I complained to the largely useless "TARGET INTEGRITY" hotline. What do you guess will happen to the final paycheck this coming Friday Sept 2? They already left out, "Oh the timesheet was off" two days pay last paycheck, and seem to fairly glib and flippant about pay matters, as it is. Don't work here, you can buy things here cheap if you want, its to your benefit, and better if you can get the stuff even cheaper. I'm beginning to see why some gruesome mass murders have occurred in or near shopping malls. The environment, propagated by cheap and petty staff, make the mall experience total shit. The chasm, between the home office in Minneapolis and retail "outlets", couldn't be greater. The home office may as well be in China, in fact it might be. Everything from rubber bands and balloons (can't the U.S. make cheap rubber bands and balloons), to shoes , shirts, bedsheets, everything sold at Target, (except shampoo) is made in China. I think the Chinese deal there, was China agreed to make shirts and shoes and everything cheap, only if they could have the whole market, including rubber bands, shoe laces, - anything. read more

I have issues more frequently than not at this specific Target location. They are usually understaffed and the staff that is available isn't very customer friendly. I have gotten to the point that even though the location is more convenient for me, I will opt to shop at another Target, or other stores in the area. So just before Christmas I went in to purchase a new iPad. I found the one I wanted online and saw that it was available in the store. Went in to purchase it and confirmed yes it was on sale. 10.5" iPad Pro 64gb for $499.99. The sales associate said yes it was on sale and that the Pro was worth the price. So I said I'd like to buy one. The sale associate gave me the box and helped me pick out a cover. When it was rung up it came up at $559.99. I showed him my phone and said that's the wrong price. He said "ya I thought that item was $499.99. Go to the front and they'll get you the right price". So I went to the service desk and showed them the receipt and my phone. She looked at my phone. Scanned some stuff. Retuned the item and sold it back to me at $499.99. Thinking everything was good we left the store. Wrapped the box and put it under the tree. Opened on Christmas Day. Set the item aside so we could set it up later. The next day we grabbed the box and opened it. We tried to put it in the case we were given for the 10.5" iPad Pro. It didn't fit. The case was to big. Finally looked at the back of the box. We were given a 128gb 2016 9.7" iPad. Totally the wrong item. So we tried to return the item for the correct one. We were told that they can't take back iPads. The option we were given was to return the item as defective and that we could buy the item we wanted but not at the sale price of the day we purchased the item we were handed. Bottom line we ended paying $169.00 more because they screwed up. Never trust a sales associate or customer service person at Target. Never shopping there again. read more
