Sometimes well stocked, sometimes not, half decent customer service, prices ok but not great

They have rude security. And they actually banned me from this location without a reasonble cause. When I asked what I did wrong, the security guy made up some random excuse and angrily asked me to leave the store. I wa sshocked and had no idea why they chose to go after me specifically but they did. I think they were having high theft and homeless people that day because he said something about me abusing their bathrooms lol. Mind you I have never used their bathrooms. I honestly think there's another regular that looks like me that goes there. , I feel sad because now I have to go to the other target on santa Monica which is so much further. By the way, a lot of stores have been kicking random people out without a cause. There was another time when the security blamed me for stealing at this target ... In a nutshell, it's a touristty area and a lot of homeless sit around the premises but it's not a bad quick stop shop store. Covne iently located next to metro station and la la land. read more

Terrible parking, dark, inconvenient. Had to have a security guard walk me to my car once. Limited selection of items. Expensive. Things are expired that are on shelves. You get the sense that you are in a terrible area given the guards and locked cabinets etc. avoid. read more

One of the two worst Target stores I've ever been in in 50 years of shopping Target, and the other one at least had the excuse of being much smaller and in a deeply impoverished neighborhood. First off, how crappy is a Target that doesn't have a place for you to take a crap? No public restrooms is one thing for a mom and pop convenience store, but to have a Target store so big it covers two full floors but can't be bothered to provide customers a restroom is absurd. Second, this location is so poorly staffed that despite using the "call a staff member" button four different times across two different floors, waiting each time for it to time out with no evidence of a staff member anywhere in sight, the only thing that got me any service was shouting at full volume "Does ANYONE work here!?" Not my proudest moment, but after spending that long searching that much of the store for the one simple hygiene item I sorely needed before going back to the hotel at the end of a long day, without ever seeing an employee anywhere (something that has never happened to me in the aforementioned half-century shopping a variety of Target stores since I was a preschooler), I was becoming exasperated. Then when somebody finally came, they were useless in response to a pretty simple question, whereas any other Target employee I've ever dealt with who wasn't familiar with a product or brand at least could whip out the handheld device and look it up. The stock in the store was pathetic, and it's one of the only times I've ever gone into a Target store and not been once tempted to make a single impulse purchase. I all but laughed out loud when I saw this sign in Spanish that dishonestly claims, "Working to serve you better" -- coulda fooled me! Stay away. read more

This Target fills a need for it's location but since it's downtown and has a different type of customer you should not expect it to be like they typical target. Your basic grocery, health and beauty you should be able to find no problem but the clothing selection and sizing is limited due to the store size. You also will see limited electronics, toys and small appliances. Again it serves a need so you can get supplies at a Target price. read more

This Target claims to no longer have a bathroom for customers. When they definitely do but tell you they don't because they no longer let any customers use the bathroom. Literally every target location in the world has bathrooms. This may not be a big deal to people but the reason it is, is because there are no bathrooms anywhere in the surrounding areas. Marshalls right next to it has no bathrooms, Coffee Bean has no bathrooms, Souvenir shop La La Land has a bathroom but you have to buy something to use it. Which is crazy. So if you have to use the bathroom just know you're going to have to walk blocks and blocks away to even find any. read more

Due to the space limitation, it is 2 floors. I don't particularly like this design, but this is Hollywood. The selection here is also aimed to serve young couples, veggies selections are quite limited. But enough for what you need urgently. read more

I can't believe I didn't know a SHINY, NEW Target opened up within walking distance of my place. This location is beautiful, spacious and clean. The two stories are filled with everything you'd expect from your local Target, including a Starbucks on the lower level. Everyone working there was beyond pleasant and kind, asking my bf and I if we needed help with anything as we perused the aisles. Self checkout, restrooms, and returns are located downstairs. I'm so thankful for this new location, it's a great addition to the neighborhood! read more

This is a small Target which is fine, just understand they won't carry everything. Good for quick stuff since I live a few blocks away. I usually use self-checkout. I bought alcohol so couldn't use self-checkout. The cashier was rude, maybe she was having a bad day. None of the usual customer service like "Hello." "Have a nice day." I asked for a bag and she presented one for me and then just said "bye". Seriously. They don't want return customers or they deal with tons of people and customers are horrible. I get it. Another time, at check out the product was not scanning. I called the girl over and it was like I asked her to do the worst thing in the world. She seemed peeved to do her job. Perhaps it's hiring these kids that don't appreciate a job. Come on Target! read more

The shelves are always empty. Terrible bread selection awful toilet paper selection (they don't sell one to four rolls only 6 and above) among it just being a weak Target all around. Management must not care- cause the fish rots from the head down. Hit the CVS next door it's far superior and has all the things Target doesn't seem to be capable of handling. read more

Remember the K Mart experience ? If you missed it you can still get dirty store , empty shelves and rude employees at Target . This is not limited to just this location, but this is one of the worst target. It's a small and has a limited selection. This prices are on par with cvs so you might as well save your time and go to a convenience store . You can also save your dignity and go to Costco or use amazon. It's sad what has become of this chain . I'm from Minnesota and want to support them . One of the most idiotic policies is no public restroom , not even for customers. I could make the walk to the mall like they suggest, but it also increases the chance you will go over the amount of time they validate for and you might get stuck with a parking fee. If anyone from target reads this or cares I would highly suggest work with your landlord, if shoplifting is a concern have them add restrooms to the plaza . Have a bunch of fun items representing Cali and Hollywood. Consider having more floor staff to help shoppers find merchandise. I would give it a five star rating, but the problem is that for weeks they have no shopping carts, you need to carry your items in your arms. That prevents me from shopping what I need. They also took weeks to fix a refrigerated sections where they normally offer soups and salads, but during the down time those items were not available. Bad overall management. read more

I was in dire need of tampons. When your fabulous monthly endeavor ensues and you only have pads and liners that that aren't there for the style, then they need to go. Doing some digging online I found this place. With so many stars and spectacular reviews, it was worth a shot. Soon as I walked in I was greeted by David who took me on a tour of the feminine products and hygiene section. Didn't think it was possible but I was instantly drawn to these comfy looking and sleekly packaged Playtex Sports For less than $20 which is all what I had on me, it was a steal! I'll admit, I wanted to browse the rest of the store, and could, for hours. Who would have known it was two levels??? I felt like I was perusing a bright red castle! Target has become a place I love for Beauty and Health Food and even not so healthy, hey I am only human right?! I've only come to to this target location about three times. I use the drive up each time and each time there is a long wait. Today I waited over 15 minutes to receive four bottles of water and I also was the only one at drive up, this is inexcusable, especially at the fact that I had to pay for parking because of target employees taking so long.Horrible read more

Nice lil' two level target. There's not a ton of stuff but you get the essentials. Groceries are limited but you can get the basics here if you're in a pinch. The only other con is the sketchy Hollywood blvd characters that come in and constantly have to be escorted out by security. Other than that, pretty groovy! read more

The new Target Hollywood Galaxy opened 3/9/21. I was given a brief tour this morning by one of the staff members. It's an amazing spot that took over both the old DSW vacant floor store and the old Fresh & Easy grocery store on lower level. There's a new Starbucks inside and small Target grocery store. Perfect for the neighborhood. Game changer. We needed a grocery store like this to walk too. It has everything. Household stuff, alcohol, tv, iPads, everything! It's located at corner Hollywood Boulevard and Sycamore Avenue. There is a CVS and LA Fitness also in the Hollywood Galaxy mall. Target even installed new escalators combining the two floors! Staff members I saw seemed very friendly and were excited about the grand opening tonight. read more

Unacceptable. This is a public establishment, yet they deny paying customers use of the restroom. I am disabled and they told be to walk a quarter mile to the mall at Hollywood and highland. And inventory was in stock. Zero customer service help about order placement just to be told to call customer service and it's not "our" issue from the manager. This has to be one of my worst experience going to a target . The female security at the front desk gave me and my family attitude for asking a simple question about the parking. Not only that but when we went to the cashier to let her know what just happened she wanted to give us attitude too!!! Unbelievable . Very disappointed that I had to pay $5 for parking after spending over $300 at target. The cashier was too busy chatting with bagger to inform me about the parking validation needed. The Weho Target gives you one hour free with your parking ticket. I hate paying for parking more than paying high gas prices!
