Very minimal offerings for Alternative aka healthy food choices. Being gluten-free for the last 13 years I do expect crap but was really frustrated with the lack of options and education amongst the volunteers and staff. read more

Great atmosphere for a night baseball game. Easy to walk to from downtown hotel. The stands seem to go straight up from the field more than other ballparks and that added some energy to the game. read more

What can I say? Awesome! Great view of the field and the field itself is great. No more craning your neck to view home plate; much closer to the action than at the Humpty Dome. Coming from the west, it's so easy to park. For $15 you can park in the ramp... just head straight toward downtown on 394 and exit for the ramps. I used Ramp B, and it worked great. You are literally driving 65 mph, then parking. No hunting for private parking lots and long walks! read more

This place is my second home during the summer. I love love love it here. The atmosphere is great, the food is amazing. The baseball can disappoint at times, but it's always a good day at the ballpark. The staff is really friendly and helpful is you need assistance, and the location of the ballpark is fantastic! Literally, anything can happen here- it's such a fun place to go for an afternoon. Even when bad weather strikes, it's still fun huddling under the concourse! Sit in the outfield, get a beer and a hot dog, and kick back. read more

Just got to Minneapolis and one of the first things I got to do was go to a Twins game. Their new park is pretty cool and is very open and spacious. I sat on the third base line and really enjoyed the park and the game. I definitely think this is one of the better things to check out while you're living or visiting Minneapolis. One note that I found interesting and somewhat funny is the amount of people standing outside offering you free entry into their strip club after the game is over. read more

Everything you've heard about the stadium in the press is an understatement. Its an amazing ballpark and can't compare to the Dome. You need to visit to fully understand its awesome-ness. There were a few kinks in the first few games due primarily to fans gawking at the stadium instead of paying attention to what they were doing. read more

Target Field is a real architectural feat, certified LEED silver, and fits in perfectly with the downtown culture. Stunning views from everywhere and very open aisles and places to watch the game. The Twins are not exactly the greatest team atm but there is plenty of food here both healthy and not so healthy. I don't quite get how some cannot find the exquisite home grown salads here. They may be a little hard to miss but one should consult a guide if they have problems finding something to their taste. If you are looking for healthier options they certainly have them. A pretty decent beer selection, and loads of food options mostly sourced from local restaurants. Anything from The Butcher and the Boor to Manny's food options reside in the park within easy walking distance. There are also a couple restaurants in the place and plenty of amenities like comfortable bathrooms, water fountains, and even places to charge your digital devices. A lot of memorabilia and Twins' history lines the park and blends in with the beautiful limestone decor. The cost of this stadium may be a problem for some. If you enjoy home cooking you may not even bother sampling most things, as a normal ballgame could end up costing 100 bucks easily without the tickets. But if you have some money to blow and pick a sunny day Target Field is a pretty nice place to be. Tons of fans at most games despite the losing records of the past couple years.... Transit is VERY accommodating for all people using the hotels of the Twin Cities anywhere from Bloomington to St. Paul and more. read more

Target Field is a very nice outdoor baseball park. As a hardcore baseball fan this is one of the best. Of course almost anything would have beat the Metrodome. Large food selection, plenty of restrooms, good atmosphere. Park at Mall of America, take the train right to the ballpark and back. read more

Target Field is the 14th stadium I have visited and the only modern stadium that has it beat would be AT&T in San Francisco. The light rail into the stadium was extremely convenient, the food was amazing and the beer choices were impressive. The free Paul Molitor bobble head was a nice touch, but I would give this five stars regardless. I would recommend sitting in the upper deck (third base side) if you really want to get a good view of the city AND the stadium. Surprisingly, tickets were extremely expensive (more expensive than Fenway and Wrigley) but the park was packed, so you can't really argue with the whole supply and demand thing. Well done, Minneapolis. Your stadium is fantastic. read more

Always a great time at Target field! Lots of good eats, drinks and great seats anywhere at the stadium! Wednesday is $1 hotdogs!

Outstanding venue for baseball. I have enjoyed games from many parts of the stadium and have always had a great view. Today had seats in section 103 down the third base line, which were excellent. Delighted that the food options continue to improve: today had a very nice veggie burrito bowl. For those for whom it works, coming from Northern suburbs on a Sunday afternoon, the Metro Transit North Star train is a great way to get to the stadium (although we did have to leave the very slow game early to catch the only late afternoon train). read more

Been to this ballpark when it first opened so glad to be back with the little one. Great day for the game and really good seats, very fan friendly but not much for kids to do like some of the other parks. That said we did get free face painting outside the stadium....you pay for the same in the stadium. The park is a bit pricey which caught me off guard as wasn't expected. The views are great no matter where you sit, last time I did Delta seats and this time I was behind the dugout. If your in the neighborhood definitely catch a game. Btw, if your staying at the Mall of America just jump on the blue light-rail and you'll be at the stadium in 40 mins. read more

Target Field - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Minneapolis, Minnesota

Target Field is as good as I had hoped it would be. Baseball stadiums have changed a lot since Minnesota built the Metrodome almost thirty years ago. Many good stadiums have been built, but not all of them have been perfect or even great. This one is great! First of all the field and setting is beautiful. The backdrop of Minneapolis is terrific and the sight lines are worth all the efforts of getting this thing built! The big screen looks like it is in high definition. It's huge and even from across a stadium, it's better than watching my television! The stadium itself feels big when you look around, but everything is very tightly wrapped around the field. Just under forty thousand people and this place will be brim full! The food is all about choices! They have several types of hot dogs and bratwursts. The line for Kramarszuk sausages was pretty long, but maybe they'll add more stands later. They have stands for calzones and even shaved beef sandwiches. There's something for most price-points. A Vincent hamburger for $12 as well as the usual Cracker Jack & Peanut vendors walking up and down the aisles. For beers there are many local beers available (multiple Leinenkugels, Schell's, Summit, etc.) as well as the towering Budweiser. There are also all these little places that feel like they are kinda hidden. The fun part is that I haven't seen them all yet! There are bars that are open to the public and some that are just for certain sections. The "Legends Club" has several bars that are exclusive to it and entire lounges to hang out in. The Legends club also has wood backed seats which are nice to sit in and nice to see from afar. A really nice touch. There's also a very exclusive "Champions Club" that is only for the section of fans right behind home plate. Their club area behind them is one area that I couldn't get to during my game today, but I'm told it has a bar and THE WORLD SERIES TROPHIES! So I really want to sneak in there somehow. For the average fan, there is also Hrbek's, which is a bar on the main level that I believe will be open to the public and there's the Twins Pub on the upper level for the average fan. It looks right down on the action right behind home plate and has officially become my new favorite bar in the Twin Cities, even though it only offers Bud, Bud Light, Summit, and Stella on tap. There's full bar service there too... so AWESOME! There are a few downsides that I noticed, but they're somewhat marginal and somewhat design oriented so I'm just gonna get used to them. First of all the concourses could be a little wider. The food lines are gonna make walking around the stadium somewhat difficult. A lot of the stadium is very focused on crowd flow, so it will be much harder to sneak around. One of my favorite aspects of the Metrodome is that it was very easy to sneak around in. I would buy a cheap seat ticket in the upper deck and be behind home plate by the sixth or seventh inning, no problem. Obviously it will be easy to stay on the main level, but sneaking down to the good seats looks very, very hard. All of the outfield seats are pretty high off the playing field, even the left field bleachers. There are also a lot of narrow, one way stairs in the upper levels. This is probably the biggest concern because out of all the problems, this probably can't be fixed. Perhaps they have ideas for this that I'm not aware of though. Views from the upper deck are pretty good though, much better from the dome and the seats are positioned so you don't have to crane your neck the whole game! It also seems that we're closer than at the Dome... but that might be illusory. It's in a weird part of town, but I think the stadium will drive development and some of that will get better. Oh, and if you do have tickets in the "Dugout Box" watch out for foul balls! AND look behind you after it goes by because if nobody catches it, it'll ricochet off the stone wall behind you and come back into your section. One more really good thing is the mezzanine leading up to the right field gate. I imagine that it's going to have a really fun carnival vibe on summer game days! Almost an open park vibe, even though it's sitting atop a freeway! Overall, I'd call it great! The field, the jumbo-tron, the shaking hands Twins logo, the skyline... all GREAT! I can't wait to see Joe Mauer and company take the field in a few weeks! You might not believe me and I don't care if you don't... but by the end of this first game it was already feeling like 'home' that familiar feeling that I haven't had since leaving my childhood home. I think this place will be great for years and years and years! read more

Really nice stadium. Fun atmosphere. They merchandise in the souvenir shops are highly overpriced, so buy on mlb.com, but it's a great experience. read more

I love this place. As season ticket holders, we've got it down to a science. Take the light rail in, arriving either a little early or a little late, depending on what they're handing out. Our seats are just off the platform... Easy in, easy out. Also prime location for the best foods, with an escalator nearby for the 200 level eats like Pizza Lucè. If it gets warm or cold, head up under the concourse for shade or heat lamps. read more

I saw a Twins game there with my son a little while ago. This is a delightful place to go watch a good baseball game. This is my first time ever watching the Twins. This was a delightful welcome for me. This place often gets crowded. However, it is still a well-run place for accommodating all members of the audience. I look forward to more Twins games there. read more

Comerica Park in Detroit was built just 10 years before Target Field in Minneapolis, but my way a difference 10 years make. Target Field got right everything that I don't enjoy about Comerica Park. The layout is spacious and offers a variety of seating options. There are a great number of concessions and you have the option to take escalators down! (Sounds silly to most of you, but to anyone who frequents Comerica Park as much as I do--- you know what I'm talking about). My husband particularly like the tribute to the old logo in the outfield - the multiple well-designed video screens/scoreboards - and the way the skyline is highlighted by the parks design. I must say, I did get a bit sick of watching Ron Gardenhire sip his Land O' Lakes milk. Ick. We were also a little bummed that all of the statues and the like are outside of the park- great for the common tourist not attending a game, but it stunk when we didn't know they were out there until after we entered the stadium and were then forced to try to find them among the throngs of disappointed fans leaving after the game was over. Also, some of commented on the park being extremely original, but my husband and I did feel it seemed a lot like the Washington Nationals new home, Nationals Park. This isn't a bad thing though - We loved Nationals Park as well. We had the dumb luck to go during Fan Appreciation Weekend. Fan Appreciation Weekend? What a novel and fantastic idea. 20% off all merchandise. All of it. 20% off. What the what? I hadn't planned on buying any Twins gear, but this changed my mind pretty quickly! Lastly, Target Field is in a pretty great location - It's right downtown and offers easy access to both the skyways and the lightrail. There are also plenty of bars and eateries around the field. If you're in the Twin Cities during baseball season, grab tickets to a game. I doubt you'll regret it. read more

This is a great venue. Twins games are very fun! I love that it is in the heart of the city. I ditched out of my conference a little early to catch the beginning of the game, and it was a quick walk from the conference center. I thought there was a ton of food choices (whoever goes to a game and tries to eat healthy does not get-it). Hefty beverage price tags...but that is every sports venue USA. The Legends club is something to see. If gourmet and baseball is your thing, this stadium has it...but you have to have special access. Twins beat the Royals. It was a little chilly, but it was appreciated the end of June. If you are ever in Minneapolis in the summer, a Twins game MUST be on your list!! read more

I really don't know where else to blast the twins for the awful experience I had when I attended the game on may 19 2017! My girls and I came for our yearly baseball trip. My friend and I each reaching our 30th stadium. Boy do I regret that it was target field. My husband texted me and said he had a surprise for me and to stay in my seat after the 4th inning bc he had paid for a message to put on the big screen. Well normally I like to walk around see the stadium etc. so excited about this we stayed in our seats the whole game and guess what ???? No message!!! My husband was so mad he called and they certainly didn't put it up they said they didn't know what happened. They did refund him and say that they would put it up at the next game and send a picture ... but they couldn't rewind time and they ruined the end of my epic bucket list! Then he gets the email with the picture and it's not even correct !! Was missing my last name but it had my friends last name so it looks like we're a couple . He called and guess what no call back!! He had even asked if they could could arrange something at angels stadium since the twins were in town the next week .... bunch of run around and bullshitting ... St. Paul great city! Twins on the other hand suck! I will never forget how they dropped the ball and ruined my 30th stadium ! read more

Target Field is an awesome destination if you are visiting Minneapolis because they have awesome public transit to the stadium and plenty of great dining/happy hour options just a few blocks away at the Nicolette Mall. I was only in MN for 3 days, but knew I wanted to catch a Twins game. I was able to get a fabulous seat due to the fact that it was freezing and there was snow on the ground in mid April. Outside the stadium were several statues and a giant bronze baseball glove people were sitting in to have their picture taken. The stadium was extremely clean and there were plenty of staff to help folks find their way around. The folks sitting around me were all extremely friendly and got a good laugh at the Dallas girl watching a game in the freezing cold. I went by Guest Services and they gave me a certificate for my first Twins game. The certificate has a panoramic picture of the field on it. The concourse was well lit and restrooms and different vendors marked. I did have a salted caramel hot chocolate- which was the perfect treat for a game in 38 degree weather! After the game was over, I walked right outside and caught the train back to my hotel. read more

Beautiful! Fantastic! Stupendous! It is soooo cool to have a Major League outdoor baseball park! In a way, it somewhat reminded me of Wrigley Field, at least the way the bulidings are above the outfield. The food was great, and I like that the line of sight is very good no matter where you are. The P.A. system is much better than the Metrodome, and the seats are a bit more comfortable with a bit more leg room. I just went to the game against the No. 2 central division Detroit Tigers on Monday, and thanks to Michael Cuddyer and Jim Thome, we smoked em' 10 - 4!!! So fun, so awesome, I'm almost speechless. read more

Went to the game yesterday on April 10, 2011 for the first and last time. We sat in section 330 which is in the "Homerun Porch" area. The seats there were extremely uncomfortable. Just cheap, uncomfortable seats and very little leg room. Many in our area left due to the uncomfortable seating and we joined them by the end of the seventh inning. Just plain awful. Everything is way over-priced. From the tickets to the food, it is all over-priced and very low quality. The hot dogs are no better than at Super America and the hamburgers are not nearly as good as a Whopper Jr. Its $5.00 for a hot dog and $9.50 for the greasy hamburger with a couple of fries. We walked around the stadium and it seems many seating areas are restricted view. The entire outfield seating area is a joke to say the least. Getting around the stadium is like going to the "Barn", or Williams Arena, on the U of M. Up and down stairs makes it a hassle. One understands that the Barn is an older arena, but a brand-new stadium like Target Field? Get real! The wind is a major bummer at Target Field too. The wind swirls around and around like a blender. One has to really hold onto your food, hat, clothes, etc or it will go flying ayway. I hate having to help pay for the stupid thing just because I live in Hennepin county. Why should I have to pay so the season ticket-holders can have a new stadium? They should pay for the stadium - not everyone else. It will only be a matter of time before the newness is gone, reality sets in, attendence drops off to the Metrodome levels or even lower, the Twins start to lose more than they win, the weather gets bad, and then the Twins and their supporters will all want another stadium to replace this stadium. One with a retractable roof, leg-room and views of the entire field will become their battle cry. It is only a matter of time. I expected so much more than Target field offers and never thought I'd say it, but the Dome is a much better stadium. In my opinion, leg-room, views, decent outfield seating and a roof make the Dome a much better stadium. Overall, I would classify Target Field as a joke and a total waste of taxpayer dollars. read more

Stopped in for a couple of games last summer and had a blast! We live about 30 min outside the city so we ended up taking the shuttle. It's super cheap, and they drop you off a few blocks away from the field and pick you up in the same spot for the return ride. The field itself is beautiful. Kids that can sit on your lap are free! Their food options are outstanding. You can find some affordable beers if you keep an eye out for the best deal. Our little one even got a certificate for attending her very first baseball game. So much fun for the whole family! read more

I have never seen so many food and drink options at a stadium, ever. You literally cannot go more than five feet without hitting another food or beverage stand. There is a map you can get on the ground floor that tells you which types of concessions are where, so that you can map out your culinary journey. A food map at a baseball stadium. You're welcome. read more

I've been to a lot of major league ballparks across the country, but I can confidently say that Target Field is a great place to watch a baseball game. Located downtown, the park offers great views of the Minneapolis skyline from almost any seat. You can walk right in off the streets. Unlike some downtown ballparks, it's not an eyesore and doesn't call too much attention to itself. It fits right in to its surroundings. Inside the park, the walkways are very spacious, which prevents the walkways from getting too congested. The seating isn't too cramped, and there are no obstructions (unless you happen to find yourself sitting right behind the foul pole). Tickets are reasonably priced, though I suppose that could change depending upon opposing team or the Twins' performance in any given season. My experience with staff and security has proven them to be friendly and helpful. The ballpark is also very close to a lot of great restaurants, sports bars, etc. So you have a lot of great options for a pre- or post-game meal. read more

After reading a certain review, I decided I needed to put one down. The Field is really as good as it gets. As a fan of the game, I've been to several stadiums and Target Field ranks at the top and deserves it's ranking last year as the number 1 sports venue. Seats are always available on the street or from stubhub, sometime below face value!...as the game date/time approaches. Sure if you go to up to Section 330 (not the real "Home Run Porch" by the way), you get what you pay for....a Cheap Seat! The beer, at 7.50, is a bit pricey but, come on. how many beers do you really wanna swill at a ballgame. Save that for after game celebrating at one of the spots close by. I was with a few friends who came up from Milwaukee last year and they loved it and said the intimate atmosphere beats Miller Park. They really like the fact that you get real grilled onions of your Brats or Dogs! read more

Beautiful and well done. 4 stars only because our food was disappointing (hot dog & fried pickles not the best). Mini donuts were awesome!!

I have been to Target Field on several occasions and it has always been a good time. My all time favorite place to sit is the Champions club seats. You get valet parking, seating behind home plate, free food and beverage, blankets, in seat service, etc etc. The seats are 100% worth the cost. I went on a crappy rainy day and was given a poncho and a blanket. I still had an amazing time. The music they play is great and it's fairly simple to navigate. I live in San Diego now and have to say this is still my favorite stadium! read more

I went here for the first time last with family. The twins were playing against cleveland and lost . Oh well The stadium itself was very nice , clean much nicer then the metrodome overall. The selection of foods was very good as well and you could walk around without getting crushed between people. It was nice having the outdoor feel to it as well. However- The food is very overpriced, I didnt get much since we ate at peters grill beforehand. 8-10 dollars is the average price for most sandwiches/burgers/ tacos/etc... I don't like paying that much for food that is mostly medicore. The typical annoying alpha type douchy guys were there and flakey girls. l I just didnt feel like its really my thing at all. Im not the a big baseball person, but its nice to see a game every once in awhile. It's a nice stadium , however I feel like the money could have been used for something a lot better such as education, arts, libraries, local programs for people with disabilities etc.... read more

The field was cute or whateva but, the lights from across the field were on the whole time and were blinding my little eyes, even though it was 3:00 in the afternoon.
