We contracted with the junkluggers to clean out my mom's apartment on Wednesday June 24th. On June…read more18th, I had emailed Junkluggers the certificate of insurance that my mother's building required. On June 23rd at 9AM, I called to see if the COI was ready to be sent to the building and I was told it was not done yet. I called at noon and at 3:00 and every time was told the same thing, it was being worked on. Then at 4:00 I was told the Internet was down and the COI would not be sent until the following morning which was the day of the appointment. I reminded them that if the building did not get the COI, the appointment would have to be canceled. Thankfully the district manager was able to email the COI to me at 5:00 which I then forwarded to the building management. When we had made our appointment, we were told we'd be getting four workers and two trucks to clean out the apartment, instead one truck and two men showed up. The men who showed up did a good job but once the truck was filled, they had to leave. My mother's apartment building did not allow furniture removal after 4PM and we were told the company had no idea when the second truck would arrive. We were advised to reschedule and have the second truck come Friday morning. We were told we would be first on the schedule for Friday, but the truck did not arrive at my mom's apartment until almost 11 o'clock. The two men on the second truck had a lot of problems figuring out how to remove the remaining furniture from the apartment and had to be told several times to take out all the remaining furniture and bags. Pro: They honored the estimate even though our final load was slightly more than estimated Con: The COI should had been completed earlier and not delayed until right before the appointment. When you contract for four men with two trucks, that is who should show up for the job. We should not be inconvenience to have to come back a second day.

The crew was fast, efficient and professional and great to work with. I had exercise equipment in the attic (lat machine, leverage benches, NordicTrack non-motor treadmills) and they took them apart as needed and hauled them out, as well as a lot of weight plates; they took four Jeep tires out of the basement. They also took a ton of miscellaneous household stuff out of my house and out of our neighbor's basement. The cost was very reasonable especially considering that they were hauling away exercise equipment, tires and weight plates.

Easy to reach, reasonable prices, no job too big or too small but the best thing about Uriel &…read moreJesus...they're just really nice people! Sometimes other haulers won't take away everything (paint, aerosols, household chemicals) or not want to deal with more than picking up & hauling away. They're taking away my friend's hot tub...she had already called others but no dice. Moving is stressful enough. My last day of garbage pickup was Thursday. I called public works on the Monday before, to alert them of extra garbage (they switched to the automated truck/can system so anything outside the can has a special set of rules for pickup). The town never showed up & the girl answering wasn't very helpful ("wait until 3"...when they're you're all done for the day & you won't be there?). She said, "I don't know what to tell you...they'll be out tomorrow but I can't tell you when." She didn't inspire me w/ any confidence. Junk Out to the rescue (they had already taken away the bulk of the junk a week before, this latest batch was just extra trash left after the house was all packed up). Uriel always answers quickly & knowing my predicament (had to leave on Friday so I couldn't wait until next Monday), he squeezed me in for noon on Friday. I got lucky, the town literally got to the trash right before noon on Friday. Despite squeezing me in & driving out to me & having nothing to haul away, Uriel refused any payment; even for gas. You may say it's only junk, but it's a lot of weight you don't want & they're going to help you. Now it's one less thing to have to stress over. They run their company with hard work & integrity. This is their business & they still have standards as businessmen, as people. This is a hard working crew. I hope you choose to work with them and continue to help their business succeed.

It took a lot of maneuvering to get the old unit disassembled and removed, but the guys worked diligently and got it done. Since I hadn't been able to clean behind the old unit for over 20 years you can well imagine the huge dust bunnies left behind! Mike was nice enough to sweep that up without my asking, excellent service all around.
