I love this Target due to its convenient location. I usually get off the one train and need to pick up some things before boarding the Metro North. This Target is right around the corner and lets me pick up the little things I need for my home. This is a large location filled with groceries, clothing, electronics, and anything else you might need. It is always packed with people coming in and out. The only downside of this location is the super long lines. It might take you a couple minutes to pick up something but it takes me close to half an hour to get out. On the weekends you are stuck in a long line of families picking up their groceries. I would much rather order online and have delivery services rather than wasting time on a line. This is a good location to pick up things on a non-busy time. However, I would tend to avoid the evenings and weekends as you will be stuck waiting for a long time. read more

Such a bizarre experience! The cashier's scanner was not reading the chip on my phone. I had made a purchase at the Fordam Rd Target 3 hours earlier, so I know the problem wasn't on my end. I asked 3x what we should do, and she just kept saying that if I didn't know how to use my phone, she didn't know how to use my phone either...? Dear Target Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding an experience I recently had at Target. Unfortunately, the situation was frustrating and disappointing, and I feel that it deserves to be addressed by management. I been buying Gatorade form TARGETS for over two years. I only recently realized I have been paying a deposit of 5Ct, I look at the bottle and theres only about 3 or 4 states take returns on the bottles and New York is not one. I expected to receive professional and respectful customer service, but instead, I felt that my concerns were not properly addressed. I believe that customers should be treated fairly and that issues should be handled in a courteous and reasonable manner. I am requesting that Target review this matter and take appropriate action to resolve the situation. I would also appreciate a response explaining how this complaint will be addressed. They do a good job stocking the store with the items you need. I come here weekly and have always found what I'm looking for whether it's groceries, electronics, or personal care products. The store is large so you can use the kiosks situated throughout the isles to locate your items. Some products are enclosed behind glass so you'll have to press the help button to flag down an employee who will unlock the case for you with their key. This sadly adds to the wait time of your overall shopping experience. Another inconvenience is that their self checkout lines often won't accept cash. I've had to leave the express line twice in the last month only to go to the regular line where customers have many more items to check out. This added about 15 extra minutes to my trip. This made me suspicious of their business practices because studies show customers spend more when they pay with a card rather than cash. It makes me wonder if this is just a ploy to go cashless so they can save themselves overhead and get their customers to rack up charges on their credit card. read more

Many times I go in here and get helped by people that are so willing to help that it is refreshing. Young people too which is really nice to see that there are nice young people who understand how to treat others still left in this world. And if y'all want to get or find help, stop going in there with them attitudes ya'll show up with 24/7 cause nobody wants to help someone that's being rude...how bout that. You couldn't pay me to stop shopping at Target. It has its bad days, but overall it's an aging corporate retail giant that's doing what it can to keep the doors open against some juggernaut competitors that will likely one day cause them to close their doors. Target is Target... you will come in here and waste more money than you intended on the most random things. I have to say- the employees here are very helpful. You can approach and ask them for assistance and, in my experience, they are always willing to help with a positive attitude. So why four stars? The store is SLOW when it comes to pick ups. You get verification that your order is ready, but you STILL have to wait when you arrive. Also, I think the store's set up could definitely improve... maybe it is set up the way it is so you have to do your rounds to find whatever you need, and end up finding random things you then buy. read more

This target has been renovated a lot of people aren't to happy about that because they can't find anything and even harder to find what they are lookin for if they can't find an associate. I personally didn't mind walking around and checking everything out. But I understand also that It can be annoying if you want to come in and quickly get out. The store I think looks great it's not my favorite target because it doesn't have a lot of selections but I think it's decent enough to get what you're looking for. I love that they amped their home decor section the items they brought in more modern looks. The wood , marble and fake plants are gorgeous. I think their kitchen section it's just okay it can use a couple more gadgets. For example I spend like 20 minutes looking for wine stoppers and only found two different kinds. It would be helpful if they had signs with like wine accessories etc.... I think also the sport and workout section was actually not too bad they had a good amount of things and it was organized. I love that Target took the plunge and came to The Bronx over 20 years ago! We are a hidden gem. I love shopping at Target - I don't care for the layout of this one and the wasted time to check out. I know businesses have to update their look but why fix it if it isn't broken I say. They've changed it so a lot of things are no longer carried in store such as sewing machines (bought one for my mom a few yrs ago). Love the updated clothing for women and kids. I just purchased a huge vacation clothing haul for 7 days in Mexico. The express check out is a nightmare as only 4-5 machines are working at one time. If you plan on running in for a quick item because you are pressed for time - think again. The employees are all pleasant and knowledgeable but I can't help but think they need more cashiers along with stronger leadership and/or management. read more

They're doing an admirable job during her corona virus crisis. Staff members are enforcing social distancing policies by making sure to allow only a certain number of customers inside at a time. There is a line outside where visitors must stand six feet away from each other. When you reach the front you'll be allowed in along with no more than a dozen others. Once inside you'll have plenty of room to shop without having anyone else being too close to you. There is plenty of produce available although finding toilet paper and paper towels can be more difficult. Fortunately they've been increasing their inventory I was able to find everything I needed. read more

What can I say? it's a Target! The self check out lines move quickly even when there's a crowd so I've never had to wait in line for a long time (maybe 5 mins max). I've noticed that the selection of Lego kits in this store seems to have a great selection of models. Only negative is that like a lot of stores during ongoing pandemic is that there are occasional inventory issues with empty shelves, but nothing major so I'd give a 4.5/5 if I could give half stars. read more

I've come to this target on a number of occasions. Since the renovations it has definitely improved. They generally have whatever item I went in for or whatever size I want. However the staff must still be limited as finding someone when you need assistance is still impossible. My latest trip today was for a drive up order. I love that they are providing this convenience. However I checked in that I was on my way several blocks away (note the app tracks your actual location). It clocked me as arrived from the moment I drove in front of the store and I still had to wait for the light and go up into the parking lot and pull into the designated spot in front. This gave them an almost extra 5 minute. Still I waited about 20 minutes (probably more) for my order to be brought to me. And no one else was waiting. An order that was ready from 11am but picked up at 5pm. They should have dedicated runners for this service. read more

This target is horrendous. As soon as you come in you can see the disorganization throughout the store. The staff has more attitude than a teenager and it's just mind blowing. I asked 3 staff members where I could find straws and 3 of them looked me straight in the eyes and walked away. I have no idea what was going on today but, it was a catastrophe. I love target and I love shopping but, this target sucked the fun and enjoyment out of me. Everything is trash and there were plenty of teenagers walking around throwing balls at each other and cussing. Complete disrespect. Along with all this, Elizabeth, the woman who checked me out was incompetent. I purchased a crib and needed that sticker that helps you with the heavy lifting and she never gave it to me. The worst part is getting out the store. These men at the exit constantly hover over you and bother you offering a taxi ride. They grab your bags without you even agreeing to the ride. I don't even know if their real taxi drivers so I would highly suggest to have your own SAFE ride. All in all, this Target is poorly stocked. Poor management and the staff is horrible. By the toys section, I took a glimpse and saw a whole section taken out with no items. There's nothing anywhere and no one helps you with anything. Complete waste of my time. read more

Although not everything is more affordable here than in other similar stores, you can't beat Target for what concerns housekeeping and cleaning products (vinegar, baking soda, laundry detergent, hand soap, dishwashing liquid soap, toilet paper, paper towel, cute tips, etc.). Additionally, I often make big orders of specialized items such as organic almond milk and protein pasta (such as chick peas pasta). Target is the type of store anybody can find something they like that costs a fraction of what they pay elsewhere, so it's a great place to have handy in your neighborhood. I'm only a couple of stops away on the 1 train, so it's very convenient for me. But they also deliver with no extra charge, which is awesome. The one negative comment I have is about their delivery packaging. I kid you not, but 50% of the packages I receive from Target are damaged. Their customer service is outstanding, because they always send a replacement of the products that got damaged. However, I can't be the only customer who's complaining... so why not packaging their stuff better? read more

Well done Target. Very well organized with assisting people from just going about entering the store to shopping around. There is a wait to enter the store, three different lines. Main line is for those to shop, another line was for online buyers and pick up in store. And a very considerate line for front liners that get to go in before everyone else, just make sure to wear your badge. There is security guiding entrance lines & check out lines, plenty of staff disinfecting carts & helpful staff assisting with any questions. Not sure if I got in on restock day but this location was very well stocked & pretty tidy. Main reason for stopping by was for board games but I got there too late, assuming everyone is on the same train of thought! Honestly speaking this might be the best way to shop, the store felt like it was all yours, very little amount of people at once in the store. read more

I've been going to this Target on and off for years. It has always been a solid place to get random groceries, pantry, and household items. I get a lot more things delivered now, so I don't make trips here as often. I wish I could get fresh produce and groceries delivered from here. They do have great prices on eggs, almond milk, ice cream, and things like this that can't be delivered. So I'll come here for fresh items when prices are too high near home. They are doing construction in the fridge and freezer sections, so navigation wasn't easy with smaller and cramped temporary fridge aisles in the meantime. They also renovated the health and beauty section. Or which looks partly renovated as of now. I might wait to go back when the construction is finished. Or at very off times when it's easier to navigate. read more

It's Target's policy to wear masks. Employees have them pulled down. Customers have them pulled down. There's no enforcement at all. Hate coming here. I have been ordering for drive up only, as this location has a big problem with customers acting like people, not animals. Every time I go in here people are fighting, screaming, kids running up and down the aisles ignoring everyone asking them to stop. Masks are required only for employees, but most have them pulled down. Most customers have them pulled down. Woman on line was screaming at me, then she & her daughter kept mocking me for wearing a mask and asking them to pull up theirs or to step back from me - they kept coming up to me and fake coughed at me and then laughed hysterically. No one stepped in to help me. The poor employees who are wearing masks and have to deal with this. I won't be coming inside here again, would rather drive to NJ. It's insane. read more

I was very disappointed in this early morning Target run! I came in with a full list and left with empty hands. They were out of everything I wanted to buy. The staff was standing around chatting in small groups. They did not seem like they wanted to help. The only good thing about this location was the parking lot! Although you may have to argue over the spot nearest the store you want to go to. You will indeed eventually get a parking spot. This target is a mess. There's no one on the floor & the cashiers move like molasses. My mother had picked up an item & it was ringing up for more than we saw & the cashier said she would need to see the sign & we would have to bring it to her. I than asked "there's no one you can call to ask to bring it" & she looked confused, than shook her head no. So I had to run to the back of the store (where the item was located) & come back to the front (of course the item & register would be on opposite sides of the store :-/ ) & bring the sign. Although I didn't see the cashier with a walkie talkie, I've been at other Targets where they do have them. Pizza Hut Mexican lady is very unprofessional you can tell she doesn't enjoy her job. I asked for chicken tenders and fries and apparently the air fryer isn't working and no chicken tenders. Mind you she looked to check if there was enough fries then proceeded to tel me the air fryer doesn't work. Why check for fries if the air fryer doesn't work? I try to avoid this Target if I can since I work in Rockland County and have far better experiences at the one at the Palisades Mall and the one in Spring Valley, but alas - sometimes the need for a Target trip strikes when I'm actually home. The checkout lines here are usually horrendous, and the addition of self-checkouts has not alleviated the situation at all, the express/self-checkout line is routinely snaking through the most of the women's clothes section. Even if you only have a few things, you're probably better off finding a relatively short normal checkout line because even if you're behind 3 people with loaded carts, you'll still be paying faster.] It seems like the stock here, no matter what you're looking for, is mostly picked over. The only time coming here is a 5 minute trip is if I ordered something online for store pickup. PS Target - I know y'all pretend you're Target Riverdale...but you're Marble Hill...just stop. The biggest offenses... 1. everything is poorly laid out (by design, to encourage people to spend more time at the store and buy more stuff, though I've ended up going to Target less as a result and turning towards Amazon and like) 2. none of the prices listed on shelves are reflected at the cash register (you basically have to take photos of EVERYTHING when you select them, to show to the cashier what you're talking about) 3. all the employees exhibit a not giving a rat's ass attitude at best (but are mostly super rude) ... Don't bother coming to this Target, they never have anything, for the most part they are always out of stock for everything. The best time to shop is in the morning, because that is when everything is organized and just a better chance at finding something you may want or need. The staff is always kind and friendly, but the store never seems to have much. The pharmacy is good and useful, the food area they have is okay to get if your really hungry, but the Starbucks there, don't waist your time, go to the one that's on the same block, they are much better and cleaner. I say for a Target that's in my neighborhood, and with other stores opening up around us and that's already here, they definitely need to do better. read more

the Tarjayyyyy stores.. Well this one has everything that i need. Except enough lines to check out fast enough and not deal with the morons that shop there sometimes. I mean people keep your kids on a leash and or a dog collar to keep them tame. Kids run all over the place and parents dont care. I know its not the store's fault but they make a mess of everything. Things are misplaced and not enough employees to keep it tidy up. Some cashiers are rude while other really enjoy working with people. Back in December my hubby bought me a new updated Keurig coffee maker after my older model started to go on the fritz. This Riverdale location was the only one that carried the "Elite" model that I had researched/decided on so we made the trek over. The Elite was on sale for $129. down from $169. so I was pretty excited to give it a try. The machine was working great for several weeks but then it started to malfunction in the same manner that my original machine did which was giving random cup size amounts no matter which cup size was selected. Fast forward to February ... I called this location & explained the situation to see if I could return for a refund. That's when the runaround began.... The person in customer service put me on hold & I believe they put me on with some kind of manager maybe from that section. I explained again that the machine was malfunctioning within just several weeks of use & since it's doing the same thing that my 3 year old model was doing I would just like to return for a full refund. Then on hold again. He comes back on (I wanna say Johan was his name) to tell me I could return it but since it was bought as a "gift" for me back in December (no mention on the receipt of any date to return by) it was past the point of returning so the best they could do was an exchange (I don't WANT to exchange it!!) or possibly a store credit but maybe NOT for the full amount. Ummm, WHAT?? I explained that I paid less for the Keurig as it was on sale so I can't imagine getting any less back than what we paid. I have never heard of such nonsense before! Seriously!! With a pandemic going on right now this was the best these people were willing to do for a customer?! Before hanging up I asked Johan if I needed to do the return at their location or could I go to one closer to where I live & he told me I'm better off going to their location since he's familiar with the situation in case any questions arise. My hubby & I got ready to go & as we got ready to drive off I said - Just for fun let's go to a location closer to us & see what happens & if it doesn't work out, we'll head back to Riverdale. So we did just that! We walked in with the machine (boxed up in the same condition I originally purchased - I wisely kept everything just in case), headed straight to the customer service desk, explained the situation & the girl behind the counter asked - so do you want to exchange it or would you like a full refund? I'd like the full refund please? And I got it. One, two, three, just like that. No questions asked! Thank you!! And a BIG NO thank you to the Riverdale location. Not sure what kinda scam you're trying to pull over there but you should be ashamed, especially during a pandemic, to treat your customers in such a manner. Never again - no thanks... read more

So I'm experimenting here, but my hypothesis is that I can finish this review before the four people in front of me have been serviced. Having a Target in the general vicinity of my work and home is fantastic. I pretty much always locate what I need, but my needs at the moment are pretty barebones if I'm shopping here. I've purchased a cheap 19inch tv for my room. A heater that still does the trick on chilly nights was purchased here. I've most recently purchased a DVD player for my classroom, when my computer started to go on the fritz. Even picked up some interesting dvds in the process. So this Target has saved my bacon more than once. So why the three stars and not four you say? Well I started typing this with four people in front of me, and now there are two. I've been delayed on these lines enough times to "know" that I need to grab a Snickers and settle in for the long Exodus. read more

I like this target because it has free parking!!!! I live in Westchester so pretty close to the target in the City Center in White Plains, NY. The Target in White Plains is pay to park. I also like that there is a Starbucks at this target. Furthermore this Starbucks has the trenti cups which some Starbucks don't have lol! Items are easy to find and the employees are helpful. Compared to the one in White Plains I rather come to this target because it has free parking and is not too far from where I work! read more
