The actual office's lobby is very nice, with lots of comfy seating, & the person who checked me in was SO nice. This office seems to have an all-woman team, which was really comforting for me! I saw Dr. Scheuer & she was so kind, professional, & thorough. I had a skin exam, which was thorough & gentle, while seemingly fast. She was able to answer all of my questions, prescribed me some medication, & recommended a follow-up; I'm actually excited to get to come back in a couple of months.

Performed a small procedure then offered to do a laser treatment - for free - because I waited a little bit longer for my appointment 'which is common' in healthcare especially if the doctor is spending time with their patients. No one has ever been so mindful of this fact. They did the treatment and provided TONS of follow up support and provided me with sunscreen or whatever I needed to heal properly. Gaslighting, Sexist, and Medically Contradictory. Do NOT come here…read more I came to Twin Cities Dermatology as a patient with a severe, documented skin condition (Prurigo Nodularis). What I found was a clinic that actively gaslit me, dismissed my documented symptoms, and attempted to rewrite my medical history to avoid taking responsibility. The Gaslighting: I presented with clear, hard nodules on my forehead and body. They initially documented my diagnosis correctly as "Prurigo Nodularis" and started me on a heavy-duty biologic (Dupixent) along with intralesional injections. However, after I raised concerns about my disability paperwork and asked for accommodations, they suddenly changed their tune. They began calling my condition "just eczema." You don't prescribe a powerful biologic like Dupixent for "just eczema." That is a contradiction. They are trying to downplay the severity of my condition to avoid liability. The Sexism: The clinic appears to be exclusively staffed by women, with only one male provider (who is gay). This is not a coincidence. They systematically dismiss straight, Black men as "difficult" or "argumentative" patients. They ignored my explicit request to exclude a specific provider from my sessions. I was not treated with respect or dignity; I was treated like an inconvenience. Refusal to Accommodate: Despite having documented medical records showing I have not been able to work due to the severity of my condition (sleep disruption, concentration issues, mood impacts), they refused to sign my (Disability) form. They claimed they couldn't assess my limitations, despite their own notes stating that my condition impacts my daily activities. Bottom Line: This clinic is not a place for healing. It is a place to be dismissed, gaslit, and under-treated. The doctor and staff will lie to protect themselves rather than help their patients. Do your research, bring your own documentation, and be prepared to fight for basic respect. I will never be returning here, and I hope you won't either.

The waiting area is spread out nicely and very clean. There are plenty of up to date magazines to browse through while waiting in addition to countless brochures about conditions I've never even heard of. The staff is good at getting you in as early as possible and really makes an effort to reach out to patients when they have other cancellations occur. They never seem to be running behind schedule and I always get in and out quickly. Dr. Timmons is extremely friendly and always gives her biggest smile and best effort. Another thing I've noticed is that the head dermatologists always seem to have someone much younger and less experienced alongside them. Throughout the whole visit, this person acts pretty much as the nurse but the dermatologist is teaching them and explaining their actions the whole time. I believe that's actual hands on experience is the best way to learn so I enjoy watching this occur. I have only had good experiences here minus the fact that I still don't know why I randomly get hives (gross I know!) but they're working on finding some answers for me and that's all I can ask for!

Because all my allergy testing was done a few years ago and they changed their medical record keeping software all my records were gone. The records they did recover do NOT show all findings.
