The woman who served us was warm and generous. She was patient too since I was trying to a speak my broken Spanish with her and the other man serving us. They both were encouraging in the endeavour. They didn't have drinks, but we noticed a hot food section on the left side and even spotted churros and tres leches. The grocery store itself is a good size, carrying fresh produce, plenty of Mexican staples like beans, chilies, tortilla, and a wide variety of candies. The lively atmosphere stood out too--they were playing upbeat Mexican music, and most of the shoppers and staff were speaking Spanish, which added to the authentic feel! Food: The Bandeja Paisa...huge mixture of food on a platter, consisted of chorizo sausages, bed of excellent rice, red beans, fried egg, fried pork rind, grilled steak...possibly the national dish of Columbia. It was done very well. Outstanding seasoning. Others in my party ordered the pork chops or fried fish. Everything was done well. Prices were $10-$20. Service was fast and the owner was very friendly.
