I escaped with a lovely scarf and tore myself away from some amazing shoes that were half a size too large for me. A real steal of a shop with Chanel, Prada, Miu Miu and some higher-end high street...and definitely not as packed with weary-looking rich kids like some of the other vintage giants around Camden/Covent Garden. Highly, highly recommended. I took a star off mainly due to the fact that there were toddlers crawling all up in some amazing leather bags. Mental thoughts included, do NOT puke/poo/pee (like that alliteration action?) on that, thanks.

I so enjoyed my conversation with them regarding the history of different design houses, and where these houses are now under the current design teams. Be sure that you visit both the top and bottom floors. I found that the best items seem to be on the top floor, but the bottom floor is worth the trip, especially if you have any children in your life who you might like to gift some lovely designer pieces. Unfortunately, I didn't walk away with anything during my first visit, but I did find a gorgeous Chanel jacket that was priced fantastically (it was just not in my size), and an MIH shearling jacket that I may have to go back for that was also priced reasonably, as well as a cute little Burberry coat in the children's section that was an absolute steal. If you become a regular customer, I was informed that then they will offer to add you to their email list to be alerted when special pieces in your size come in--they do narrow it down to meet your specifications (size, designer, etc). Currently, I was told that the list is about 1000 persons long, and that pieces fly out the door, so it is best to visit often and not wait for the email notifications in any case.

I felt as though I probably needed an invitation to even touch the incredible clothes. However, as soon as I engaged I was taken care of. Definitely not the place to walk in braying about what you want (n.b you'll want everything) but the saleswoman sized me up and picked out items that not only fit immediately but really were to my style. The shop isn't inexpensive but the quality of the clothing is out of this world. I would say it's not your sort of place if you are either bossy beyond compare or a simpering fool. Just imagine you're in Paris and go from there. I really should have bought more clothes and plan on descending on Jane & Dada the next time I'm in London.

It's one of those second hand places that you have to root around in whereas i myself like it all to be organised for me so i can get stuck in straight away rather than breaking into a sweat rummaging through piles of crap searching for the beautiful dress that shouts out to me. I'm not saying there's a lot of crap in here as there are some gorgeous items but not everything is to my taste. They have a good selection of handbags, shoes and accessories too. They often have Chanel pieces in here as well as other big designer names and you can get them at great prices. Sometimes i find loads of things i like and some days i come away very disappointed having seen nothing but that's the nature of shopping and i love it.

And there are so many other high street and boutique stores in this quaint area that it turns a Saturday morning into bliss! Trawl the racks, try stuff on but just don't let the dog out!

When or if they do arrive, I like the clothes it is a shame the customer service is so poor - bit of a lottery shopping with them - and if you are buying for special occasions e.g. Birthdays be prepared for disappointment, I will probably have to do a chargeback. This is 3rd late/undelivered order so I have given them the benefit of the doubt.

So I was doomed from the start. We left her purchases at the shop while we went for the walk and returned later to collect them. So I couldn't help noseying through their collection of floaty numbers, knitwear, evening wear, coats, scarves and hats. And with a sale on, it was practically impossible to leave without buying something. Eh voila, I now possess a new, much-needed coat (and felt beret!), snapped up at half price.
