She's already been able to find me an excellent photographer with a substantial discount, recommended the best venue, was able to all the questions I wouldn't have known to ask of both the church and reception venue, and thoroughly reviews contracts before you sign. From working with her, it's evident just how experienced she is. You get so much more than a planner: you get to see your dreams become a reality. She's professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and promptly answers texts, phone calls, and emails. She's also honest, which you need when you're spending so much money on a big event. You don't want someone who always says "Yes" to you all of the time. I sincerely appreciate her candor and integrity. I found Laura at one of the bridal shows; she was the only wedding planner there. I came home with an incredibly detailed list of what she offered with her various packages. I still Googled other planners, but she was the only one with 5 star reviews ACROSS the board. Other planners weren't as detailed as she is on their Web sites, which made me hesitant to even contact them. She's not of the cheapest options, and she readily admits that but she's probably the best bang for your buck. You can do your wedding wrong (which I did the first time because we didn't have a planner) or do it with Laura (which is the right way to do it).

Disorganized. Unprofessional . Careless…read more I was referred to Stephanie by another wedding planner who does larger budget weddings. She suggested that I contact Stephanie a.k.a. "The B Team" for our wedding. When I contacted Stephanie she sounded sweet and she seemed to understand just what I wanted: bridal, romantic, traditional. This is my first and only wedding and it seemed like things were going to go well with Stephanie. Initially, her fee was low but at two critical moments in the wedding planning Stephanie called me demanding that I give her more money so that she can complete the negotiations. It was always a crisis, and she needed money within 24 hours, or my wedding planning would not be complete. I found out later that these vendors asked to speak with me directly and Stephanie refused to give them my contact information. She told me that she was the only one who could negotiate these deals and that I needed to pay her more for it...twice! Stephanie charged us almost $4,000 for our flowers, and ordered the wrong centerpieces!!! Stephanie did not have the courage to come tell me about her mistake, instead I walked in to my wedding reception and found thousands of dollars in flowers that I didn't order. I have been informed that this large Phoenix based florist will no longer be working with Stephanie in the future due to her disorganization, and lack of professionalism. Stephanie was responsible for handing out corsages and boutonnieres to important members of my family, she had a list of these people emailed to her weeks before the wedding. Instead of checking the list on the wedding day she simply gave them to the wrong people and let me know, "oh well, I just gave it to so-and-so". Oh well?! Stephanie also ruined our guest book, charged us for a headpiece for the flower girl that she never gave to the flower girl ... I can go on and on. What is the point of having a wedding planner if they are going to make these kinds of mistakes? I won't go in to the lack of integrity that she has in negotiating her fee, I will mention that one of her vendors called her "shady". This means that if you choose to work with Stephanie, some of the best vendors will not be available to you because they will not work with her. Buyer beware!!

We were held up at the hotel for a weekend of fanciful events put on by the team of awesomeness that is Maxine Bloom, and it didn't take long for my apathy to turn to fervor. I tried to blame the AZ heat, but it was obviously Caily & Candice. Long story short, from the initial "hello's" at the hoedown, to the reception, followed up with Monday morning bloody's and hugs goodbye, there was truly not a glitch to report. Not a complaint to be made. The best, unmistakably heartwarming memory upon my departure, were the ear to ear smiles adorning all the faces, including the bride and groom. We were truly impressed and inspired by how smoothly the weekend went. They seem to have this down to a T, and more importantly, they obviously love the work. Great planners begot great memories. It's the only way to ensure the most important day of your life, goes off without a hitch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Debbie was there for us every time, maintaining contact with all vendors when moving dates and then ... finally... this fall, to tie it all together! She did a fabulous job. I had a definite image in mind when designing the wedding and reception we held at our home. We covered our pool with plexiglass that lights up at night and built the 'look' around that. Flowers were bright and tropical...music was 70's and 80's... we are not young. Every vendor listened to me and delivered exactly what I had in mind. As our one year anniversary approaches, we are excitedly returning to Phoenix *and* we are excitedly going to meet up with our new, dear friends Cicely & Rebecca. A little back story, my husband and I have been together for 19 years now. As two guys, we once didn't even have the right to marry, and even today, as you can imagine, many people still are disapproving or are uncomfortable or whatnot. Anyhow, keep that in your back pocket. Back in 2016, we had a random work trip to Phoenix. We decided to spend a night at the Biltmore, since we are huge Frank Lloyd Wright fans. We decided to get married there! It was the perfect spot. The wonderful Biltmore folks introduced us to Cicely and Rebecca (and two other planning firms), whom we met via Skype from our home back in NYC. Unlike the other planners, they wanted to get to know us and our story, unlike other planners who seemed to tick off a list of "what do you want at your wedding reception." We hit it off so PERFECTLY on the first call. It seemed to be meant to be how smart and talented and sweet they were. While we had nice meetings with the other planners, Life Design set the bar so much higher. From that point on, they did everything so perfectly. They were responsive at all hours of the day, they came up with creative ideas that always fit within our budget, and they provided sound advice on where to spend more money or less money to get our overall effect. They created such an impressive plan for us that we were excited every step of the way to see it play out. Since we didn't tell anyone that we were getting married after all these years, they worked with their recommended vendors to come up with a brilliant plan to send out a small book with the story of our lives as our "save the date." So in December of 2016, our family and friends got a box with a book in the mail. It was a huge hit with us and with everyone in our lives. Our invitations had such sophistication and class. They helped introduce us to incredibly talented and open minded and hard working vendors who never once caused us worry or concern. As we gave them the very complicated task of figuring out a memorable welcome reception within a reasonable budget, they worked and worked and worked and came up with a brilliant outdoor event at the Hermosa Inn, which included so many creative touches that our guests loved, including tacos cooked over cauldrons, a fun s'more station over a cauldron, and the beauty of the Southwest. What an event! Most importantly, I will be immodest and say our wedding was insanely awesome. They came up with a design that fit our aesthetic and the great setting of the Biltmore. Our guests were blown away by how beautiful and sophisticated everything was. They came up with beautiful details in terms of linens, furniture, table markers, signage, and everything else. Cicely and Rebecca worked their butts off. On the weekend of our wedding, our friends were amazed that we were relaxing by the pool with them because Cicely and Rebecca and their magical team took care of everything and we had nothing to worry about. We can't say a single negative thing, and we have nothing but the highest recommendation for these brilliant women. We love that they made our wedding so gorgeous and so artistic and so high-end. We love that they worked carefully with our needs. We love that they were so attentive and hard working. We love that they are so caring and open-minded. Wow. Just wow. Thank you.

I can't say enough about their empathy, professionalism, creativity and communication! EVERYONE let me know in the weeks to follow how impressed and grateful they were for this gathering to honor my young husband. The ladies took care of EVERYTHING and held my hand even the week after the memorial. Their vendors and helpers were terrific. Not 1 thing I would change or have regrets about.
