It's my first time in Mexico City and this was my first tacos spot in the city. It's TikTok famous…read moreright now so if you go right around dinner time into the late night hours, there is going to be a huge line. We visited around 3:30/4 pm on Friday so we missed the dinner rush. Our wait in line to order was about 10 minutes. You order first at the register and then seat yourself They have seating downstairs and upstairs. I recommend dining upstairs because they have some windows along the wall and it's a nice view of the neighborhood. For drinks we had the agua de jamaica con guayba and a topo chico. I've never heard of mixing agua de jamaica con guayaba but it works well. It's not too sweet, and they somehow balance each other out. It is served in a chilled steel cup, so it's quite refreshing. The drinks came out within minutes of us being seated. For tacos, I would skip the carne asada; it wasn't bad but it's not the best I've had. The stars of the show were the ornico taco and the taco de trompo. Their ornico taco comes with chicharon, ornico salsa (very spicy), and pickled onions. The tacos de trompo had fresh pineapple in them and they were just wow. Please try them. They do have non-meat options like quesadillas and a taco de aguacate. You can order any of the tacos with tortilla de maiz o harina (corn or flour). We also had the half order of papas which are nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They serve everything with 5 different salsa options. I loved all of them except for the yogurt-based one. It looks white and creamy but it wasn't for me. The food took about 20 minutes to come out but at least we were seated. Like I said, it's a crowded spot but I think it's worth the wait. ¡Provecho!

We got the three types of tacos they recommended at the counter Quick service, decent prices, but you can definitely find something better if you're going for straight taste.

We order pan de dulce for the table and we got 2 conchas, soft and warm just made. A chocolate roll and a fig and nata pastry along with coffee for the table. We order hievos rancheros with the red sauce. Huevos revueltos con chorizo, omelete con flor de calabaza y tamal de elote con crema. We also order a birria de res to share with the table. Service was very quick, efficient and friendly menus can be had in english or Spanish . My daughter order a hot chocolate with preparation table side, she said it was amazing. Fantastic place for brunch but arrive before 9:45am otherwise lines and some slight wait after 10am.

No music beyond the 2 guitar player going around table to table to see if you wanted a serenade. Skipped their offer 1st time around. Pretty quiet, bright and clean. Found that waiter spoke a little English and with our little Spanish got things done. Menus are bilingual Spanish-English. Ordered 4 lamb tacos, chile en nogada, cooked chicken in green sauce and a fish dish (forgot name, little spicy) then a coke, horchata and a pineapple drink. We got chips, cheese, sauce while waiting. Those were all nicely done but average. Dishes out maybe 10 min later. All presented well and hot. We shared each dish. Lamb tacos nicely done, little dry, but they give you some guacamole, a brown sauce, along with the green sauce and cheese with the tortilla chips. Nice, not fatty. Next was the chiles en nogada. First time tried this and really enjoyed, many flavors and nicely flavored beef. In general little on sweet side, so probably couldn't eat more than 1. The chicken in green sauce was a homey, comfort food. Nicely cooked chicken leg and thigh was an ever so slightly spicy sauce. Also came with tortilla wraps and Spanish riceLastly was the spicy baked fish. Done well, fell apart pretty easily, was spicy, but not too much. Had green beans on side done well, not too soft or hard, and Spanish rice. Drinks were all a hit. Coke is coke. Horchata and pineapple juice served in big mugs. Pineapple tastes freshly squeezed and horchata was a super solid example in every way. Oh almost forgot, later in the meal we figured out how to get the 2 guitar fellows to play for us. 2 songs for 300 peso, about 7min total. They did a good job with both the guitar and singing, was enjoyable to listen to them. Would stop back again if in area.
