Just stopped here a few hours ago!! Was looking for a good, fast place off the 5 south and was craving tacos!!! This place is bomb. Maybe even the best I've had (and I live in CA!) We got the mulitas and tacos - carne asada and al pastor. It was just right and not too salty. Flavor was on point, texture of meat was good, tortilla crispy. Even the red salsa is good! It was different than most places like more smoky. I also liked the side veggies. It wasn't too vinegary. The kid was nice and the food is decently priced. Also no sales tax Oregon wassup. Service was nice and friendly. The server patiently explained the menu to me. After I ordered, the customers started to pile in. Decent and flavorful meats. We ordered the mulita meal, sopa and keto salad. All were pretty good and unique. The sopa has a well fried base. And the meats were flavorful. Husband and kids polished it off. I docked one star because of the salad. The keto salad has a generous portion of iceberg lettuce--two layers deep but it was not proportional to the topping. Topping had one layer of meat, avocado, and cheese which made the salad not as flavorful. However, it was nice to have the keto option. We asked Siri who had the best tacos in Salem, OR and these folks were on the short list, so we tried it Friday night and it was DEE-licious!!! Not only were they authentic tacos and probably some of the best we've ever had the customer service was excellent! Aldo and the crew took such good care of us and even allowed us to sample a mulita which we came back today to get and sent us back home (we were on vacation with) with a warm Champurrado. We will always come back any time we fly into Portland, to make the trip to Salem to have their tacos and Mulitas and try everything else we didn't get to taste. By far the best tacos I've had in Salem. My first time trying this place out and definitely not my last. Great variety of food and drink options all at great prices. I ordered the taco plate, one mulita de asada. The taco plate comes with rice and beans which are both flavorful and the mulita comes with steak (asada) and avocado stuffed between layers of melted cheese and two tortillas. The food here is amazing. Our Imaging Services at Salem Health has used Taqueria Express a couple of times this past year for lunch in appreciation of our staff during COVID. This past week as we celebrated Imaging Week and Transport Week we placed 2 large orders for their tacos to be delivered, 105 for our day shift staff lunch and 45 for our swing shift staff dinner. The staff at Taqueria Express #1 were great and very professional, the food delivered on time and still hot, the staff devoured theses tacos without any complaints. Aldo, from Taqueria Express #1, surprised our staff at lunch today with 45 more boxes of tacos, in appreciation of Salem Health using their business . The staff were ecstatic at getting these tacos again for lunch. We've lived in the neighborhood for two years and just got around to trying this place out. They have been established for the past year and are up for the Willamette Valley's number one food truck this year. Their food was delicious and Aldo the guy who took my order was very cool. After I had been talking to him for a while he offered me a Horchata to drink while I waited. It was a hot day and the Horchata was fantastic. We had tacos, Quesadillas, Mulita, and the Keto Salad. The meat was phenomenal. Everything was Season very well and made from scratch. We will definitely be visiting this place again hopefully often. read more

Walked up to the window. It was my first time there. I proceeded to order like I would at any other place I was greeted with complete silence. Even when I asked questions about my order it was silent and the man just stared at me. I'm thinking maybe there was a language barrier so I just order anyways. I ask for a receipt, there was silence. But it let me know there wasn't a language barrier. I sit in my car. People that ordered after me got their food first. So I walk up to the window. Now the man asks me what my order was again. I repeat it. He gives someone else that ordered after me their food. About 6-7 minutes later he gives me my tacos. My order wasn't right, two of my tacos weren't the meat I asked for. But I'm already having a bad experience so I ask for more salsa because there were only 2 for my 6 tacos. Of course there was more silence on his end. Get home. Eat the tacos they are very bland. I wouldn't have wrote a review if the food was good. But the experience was awful from start to finish and I honestly am not sure why. I wouldn't recommend this taco truck from the customer service to the food I give it 0 stars. Well, maybe one because the tacos were $1.50 maybe they were so cheap because they don't have to purchase seasoning for the food. read more
