Amazing, fast, simple tacos & Mexican food! The chilaquiles tasted so authentic very similar to what im used to like back home in Cali. I got the green sauce it was tangy with a lil spice and they add toppings like crema onion culantro and eggs or meat. One of the better chilaquiles I had here in Tulum!
Alright now yall, this placed was highly recommended to me by locals and peers. This is my second time visiting Tulum! I ordered two cochinita pibil tacos (pork shoulder), arrachera (skirt steak), and bistec (shredded beef). First off, the service here is genuinely on point! You are greeted, seated, and your order is taken. It is vibrant and busy inside, but they still strive to provide each patron with a phenomenal experience. This was evident, as I watched the way they navigated each table making sure that the needs of all patrons were met. My tacos came out promptly, and I was also provided with salsas and onions, yummy! I doused the tacos with the toppings! When I took the first bite of the cochinita pibil tacos, wow!!! Okay, it was like pure love and harmony! These tacos took my taste buds on an adventure. An adventure to flavor-town! Let me get onto the rest of the tacos, otherwise i'll be reflecting all day! The arrachera was so hearty and tasty, it had me feeling grounded and also grateful for the vibrant flavors. The bistec gave me Northern Mexican vibes, and made me appreciate good food with the vibrant seasonings and abundant flavor! This experience was delicious and peaceful. The staff is phenomenal, the food is phenomenal, thank you Taqueria Honorario! Yall have no idea the level of magic that you are cooking up!
Bomb!!! Our wonderful travel guide Ruben from local travel mexico brought us here(wonderful guide and company!) . He ordered us two different pork dishes and they were fantastic. Home made tortillas with different salsas. I almost took the tortillas home with me they were so good. It was a Mexican Mayan mix dishes and it was fantastic. Hole in the wall place but Dang good!
Hands down the best chilaquiles I've ever had, and maybe my favorite thing I ate on my vacation. I had the chicken + egg chilaquiles with red and green sauce mixed, which my server recommended. Heard about this place from a friend, and I'm here to spread the good news. Just go! Tips : Get there before 10am or expect a line. Wear something lightweight, no AC! They do have espresso here, but it's not the main show
We had a great lunch here. You can tell it's gotten popular because the other restaurants on the block were pretty empty and this place had a line. Our fam remembered enjoying it years ago when it was more of a tent and turns out it's just as delicious. We ordered pork and steak tacos, a torta, a quesadilla, horchata, pineapple frescas, and flan. All were stellar! The horchata was perfect, not too sweet. Definitely recommend.
My family and I recently visited Taqueria Honorio for lunch. It was recommended by almost everyone we talked to about our trip to Tulum. The place was bigger than I expected; I was imagining a small shack selling the best tacos. We arrived around 1 pm, and the place was not crowded. We were seated in the back, and the server took our orders immediately. We ordered two tacos each of cochinita pibil, lechón, milanesa de pollo, and poc-chuc. The tacos were good, but I was not impressed. My kids ordered three more tacos de cochinita pibil, and I ordered another lechón. The food was good but not amazing. The service was quick, and I am glad we did not have to wait in line to get in.
From an outsider, this seems to be one of Tulum's most beloved taco spots by tourists and locals alike. Whether you are getting takeout or sitting in to eat, the folks here are friendly, efficient, and work really quickly. It's a really chill taco spot, but they close really early each day (sometime between 1-3pm I believe). But I have no problems eating any type of tacos early in the morning for breakfast lol. I've been told and read from multiple sources that this place has the best cochinita pibil and lechon. Also, the cochinita pibil is very regional to this area so I knew that I had to hit this place up before leaving Tulum. You can order their food in taco or torta form. I came here at 7:30 in the morning on the day I was leaving and wanted tacos. I ordered some cochinita pibil tacos and a relleno negro de pavo taco with a horchata to wash it down. The tacos came out quickly with some accoutrements including salsas on the side. Oh my gosh, the taco meat was so juicy and flavorful. This was such a perfect way to end my trip here in terms of food. They were so good that I ended up ordering a lechon taco as well that came with a little chicharron on top. I had to stop myself at four total. When I got there, there was a short line outside, waiting for takeout. But there was plenty of seating inside. I would imagine this place gets really busy as it gets later in the morning.
We came here after diving (this is right around the corner from KOOX diving) and it seems to be really the best spot to get tacos around here especially for their cohinita pibil tacos (sort of like tender baby pork) seems like locals and tourists both love it as lines are out the door. It was easy to find parking across the street and the place was very simple and easy to find as you'll see their name written across the front and inside there's a few pigs to reference. It's packed to the brim and service was super fast and easy. Super casual and you can be in and out if you want and they accept take out at the door if you just need to eat immediately. This place has no air conditioner for reference but has one of the best guac I've ever had which started the meal off and whereas I can't find Diet Mexican Coke almost anywhere in Mexico - this place has the diet Mexican Coke!!!!! The tacos itself were mind blowing especially if you're hungry I think I was going to see God when I ate these tacos because I was starving from my dive trips. I went silent because they're so good. The pork is just so soft and so tender it literally melts in your mouth and there's nothing I can do to forget this experience. I wish I got more is all. My partner got their chicken which was her favorite along with the cochinita pibil and the beef ones. So if you're a chicken fan you'll be happy here as well.
This place is decent size. No reservations so first come first serve. It's very clean and staff speak very good English. Regardless of how long the lines are they move pretty quickly. Let's talk about the food. Delicious!! Eating here felt like going to a Mexican friends house and having their mom cook for you. Chiqualies with eggs was so yummy perfect amount of sauce and it wasn't soggy. The house made sauce was so good. Chicken and pork tacos were good as well. Very flavorful. We had the sandwiches as well and the bread on its own is something I could eat all day. Very clean restaurant given how busy they are. Highly recommend don't be too worried of the long lines they move very quickly.
Highly recommend coming here if you like tacos. Came with a party of 8 in the middle of the weekday around 12pm and there wasn't a wait for a table, but it was busy with a steady stream of people. Tacos are personal sized. Recommend sampling all the meat ones. The chips and guacamole was delish too. The watermelon juice was really refreshing as well (literally puréed watermelon). Service is fast and friendly. It says on the outside of the restaurant they take card, but when we went it was cash only. Restaurant is located in a more local area of town.

Absolutely delicious tacos, the flavors all work together to create a beautiful symphony. The Lechón al horno was my favorite.It was tender and rich in flavor. Turkey was the surprising one I wasn't expecting it to compete with the pork or lechón but it was absolutely magnifique and so much better with the lime acidity, my second runner up from all 4. Overall all 4 options were amazing. Humble location and traditional but nothing short from amazing. read more

My husband and I usually travel alone, but on our recent trip to Mexico, a friend accompanied us. When the inevitable, what do you want to eat conversation arose, she always said "Tacos, tacos, tacos!" So tacos it was. As we were sweaty and hangry from a morning spent at the Tulum ruins, I pulled up Yelp to direct me to tacos. Taqueria Hororio was the best and closest spot, so we headed that way. Finding street parking was easy, and we got there just in time before it closed around 1:00 PM. (We know it closed at 1:00 PM because we were considering coming back for dinner, so my husband inquired.) When we arrived, all tables but one was full, so we snagged it. We were seated in the back where we could see staff slow-roasting and marinating the meats for the next day. Near the front, a lady was making corn tortillas by hand on the flat top, and a few cooks/waiters were floating around. The tacos de lechon were the biggest hit in our group. The pork is oven roasted and moist. Some tacos were topped with a crispy chicharron on top. My husband and friend declare that these Tulum tacos, as we call them, were the best meal they had on our entire trip. I also had jamaica agua which was sweet, floral and refreshing. I'm pretty sure my husband will make us drive to Tulum on our next visit to Mexico just for these tacos. read more
Again, found this place by sheer luck - or as I call it - peddling around downtown Tulum on rental bikes with no real brakes; you have to pedal in the reverse direction for the bike to start halting! So at around 10:30am local time, we found this place jam packed - with clearly local amigos. With a quick glance - we knew the menu looked awesome just as much did the grill on the mobile truck right on the street. The main dining space has about 10 tables with 4 chairs apiece. We decided to come back around 12 ish. Lucky for us - the place was empty and to our surprise, ready to shut down for the afternoon siesta. The kind waitress at the counter said she would definitely take our order. We wasted no time. 3 taco combo with Crystal orange drink - at 52 pesos for each of us. What a super fantastic lunch. With every bite of taco I wolf down here in the Yucatan state - it keeps reminding me - this is the real taco heaven! And torta heaven. And everything in between. The staff here is extremely hardworking as much as friendly. It is beyond words to describe. I hope anyone who visits downtown Tulum gets the taste of some down to earth flavors that you can find only at these amazing food trucks. Simply outstanding. read more

These were my favorite tacos in Tulum. The atmosphere is low key -- I walked in around 1pm on a Wednesday and was seated immediately. The guacamole was decent, but the tacos were obviously the main event. I had the cochinita pibil (the best), lechon al horno, carne asada, and milanesa de pollo. read more

If you are in TULUM you must go here. This is THE taco place. They open at 5 am and close when they sell out. So you'll probably have to have tacos for breakfast a very non-American thing but something I could get used to. I ordered one of each plus a tamarind juice A-MA-ZING. Fantastic local taqueria. Busy, usually crowded so might have to wait for a seat, tables are shared, and food is traditional Yucatán fare. Sometimes seems to have someone singing music in the front. Handmade corn tortillas, handmade bread....definitely a must stop at for those taco lovers. The baby pork tacos comes with a bit of the roasted skin to make them crunchy...amazing! read more

Or you may miss out. Delicious tacos and nice service. You may have to share a table since it can get really busy. Don't have the right sauce on your table? Just ask. Wish I had ordered more of the lechon before they ran out. Pretty darn tasty. read more

Not only do you not have to fear Montezuma's revenge because of how hygienic this place is but you'll enjoy the most incredible tacos among creation. I was not under the influence of tequila when I ate them so trust me I know what I'm talking about. They close at 14:00 so make it your lunch stop and stop by a market on your way out. My husband and I crave these tacos now so I guess we will have to make our way back to Tulum. read more

Very tasty Turkey and veggie tacos. We attempted to go on Tuesday and learned that they are closed on Tuesdays. Needless to say that didn't stop us from trying the best tacos in Tulum and it was definitely worth the wait! read more

This place is amazing. Great portions, super fresh, super authentic. The tortillas are homemade. So soft yet held together perfectly. I loved everything we ordered. I wish I'd had room to try the tortas too! I had two tacos and a quesadilla and dressed them up with lime and all the sauces. Washed down with a glass bottle of Coca Cola (which I pretty much never do! First one in like a decade but I couldn't resist). Perfect meal. Finished with a sweet potato empanada which was subtle yet delightful! Would go back again and again! read more

Hands down the BEST taco spot in Tulum. Ate here three times on our trip, ate at a few other places too (we went to town on tacos) to compare and the truth is this is the BEST. So much flavor and they leave the salsa on the table so you can add as much as you want. The deep green salsa is very spicy so go slow on that one. You have to get the pork tacos and the carne asada here. Absolutely amazing! The horchata was the best I had in Tulum. They take pesos only so make sure you come with pesos. Loved this place so much there were locals and tourists sitting side by side eating delicious tacos! Very affordable too about 17 pesos a tacos ($1 usd) and 35 pesos for a torta. read more

The poc chuc pork tacos here are some of the best tacos I've ever had (I'm from Texas, so I've had my fair share of tacos). It is worth the short bike ride over to this spot if you are staying in downtown Tulum. Service was also excellent... our waiter was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable experience. read more
