Stopped in here for something fun to do with the kids but I think may have had more fun than they did! The owners are AWESOME fun, down to earth folks!! We played a few games axe throwing (kids vs adults) and had a blast!!!! They had other games there as well, but axe throwing was our highlight. They have a ton of beers on tap and served pizza. CPULD NOT HAVE PICKED A BETTER PLACE TO STOP IN!!!! A MUST DO!!!!

Great beer! Great fun - including axe throwing! Great bar! Everyone who likes beer and fun should go!

Eight members of my family showed up at this place two days after Christmas. Not busy at 2:00, when we had our reservation for axe throwing, but it filled up before we left - around 4:00. There is a wonderful beer selection. Some wine too - but I was not interested in that. Got a flight for eight bucks. You choose the beer from (I think) 24 choices of craft beers. The bartender was really knowledgeable about the beer - and they had a great written guide about them as well. I was really scared about the axe throwing. They make you sign a waiver that includes the word "death" - hahahahaha! - but it's totally understandable. Still - alcohol and axe throwing did not seem like a wise combination. BUT - they gave our group a coach who stayed with us the entire time. He was wonderful - helpful and fun! (and i feel horrible that I cannot remember his name! I'm pretty sure it was the owner) He guided us and set up games for us to play. With his encouragement and guidance, almost all of my family members got pretty good at throwing the axes, even though we had never done it before. Not me though. I am a woos - I guess - and I didn't get it to stick in the wall even one time. And yet - I did get a bit better at it (one time it almost stuck and slid down) - and had loads of fun!! It was 20 bucks each for us to throw axes for an hour. Totally worth it! We all agreed! There were other things to do. Baggo - and that was free. Hit nails into a big chunk of wood with the narrow end of a hammer - a buck a nail. Some sort of skee-ball game. A giant Connect-Four game. It was such a fun place!!! I don't live in the area - but when I visit my family we will for sure be going back!

New place with lots to keep you busy while drinking. Don't like beer that is okay. They also serve Von Stiehl wine. A Wisconsin winery. Large selection of beer, Ax throwing, Corn Hole, Shuffle board and Darts. All this including a beautiful view of Lake Michigan! Golf Simulator coming soon.

So right out of the gate we're not doing well. Once the soup got here, they redeemed themselves. French onion soup was delicious. Lots of onions, perfect amount of cheese, croutons were seasoned well. Now I will say, the pretzel was ok. The honey horseradish sauce they served with it though? Outstanding. I'd eat that by the spoonful. Be careful though, it DOES pack a punch. I had the Corned beef on light rye and my wife had the tuna sandwich. My bread was nice and soft, well flavored. The corned beef was delicious as well, even though it's just a sandwich. Hers? She liked the tuna, but was skeptical about the bread. It was a bit more firm for her liking, but she DID ask for French bread. Didn't take away from the fact it was excellent. Potato salad that came with it? Meh. It's potato salad. Nothing snazzy about it. But it was still appetizing. Just wouldn't say it's out of the park. Overall, I'd like to try a few more things from the menu as they have a range of delicious items. Nice establishment, friendly people, and nice atmosphere.

I walked in on a Friday night for a classic MidWest Fish Fry and heard Fat Seagull was one of the best. Right when I walked in I was met with a fun atmosphere full of people both at tables and the bar laughing and just having fun. There is no host stand or designated waiters so just grab an open seat and someone will be with you shortly. I sat at the bar and was greeted within 30 seconds by one of the bartenders, asked what I would like to drink, and was offered a food menu. I ordered a Spotted Cow and Diet Coke to drink then placed a food order of the Combo Fish Fry Plate. The plate included generous pieces of fish (5 total) of Walleye and Perch, slaw, rye bread/butter, fries, and sauces. WOW was the food delicious, I loved the perch and rye bread...I would be very happy with just that! Beyond the food and drink, the people working and eating/drinking were just so nice and fun. Sitting at the bar, I struck up a conversation with a couple different people and to my surprise was met with great conversation. I was visiting Manitowoc for work and found everyone I talked to at the Fat Seagull was so happy to have visitors and welcomed me with open arm. Please make sure to add Fat Seagull to your list when visiting Manitowoc, this is a must see place!
