We had seen Tap Face a couple years ago when his show just started so decided t9 check it out again. Tape Face is an interesting and funny guy who puts on a great show. As far as I can tell, he changes up parts of it time to time so if you see him again, parts most likely have changes. The venue is nice and quaint, with friendly staff and even free play arcade games for the kids while waiting for the show. This show is great and hilarious although Tape Face never talks during the show but uses alot of audience members for his acts and skits. Unfortunately, no photos or videos allowed during the show. Overall, we had a fun and entertaining time. read more

Spent last week in Las Vegas, seeing the Wizard of Oz and Penn and Teller. However we went to see an old AGT finalist (America's Got Talent 2016) - Tape Face! Tape Face is not your typical Las Vegas show. It does not fit neatly into one performance category. Tape Face's public image looks Beetlejuice-level horror-esque, but his act mixes the illusion of magic, the fun of vaudeville, and the comedy of a standup performance. That said, Tape Face remains almost fully mute during his program. How he accomplishes such a variety of entertainment while speaking no words is beyond me. If you purchase VIP seating, you get one of the front row tables for your group, along with some other perks such as a Tape Face merch store shirt and poster. And if you're extra lucky, you'll get chosen to be an audience participant on stage. Refreshments at the show are pretty typical - nothing unexpected. It's primarily overpriced and generic offerings, unless I'm not remembering correctly. The size of the venue is fairly intimate. I'd gauge that it's maybe a medium to small size audience show. It's a great choice for a small group outing. I attended in a VIP group of just 3 female adults, which was perfect. As an added note, I wouldn't say the jokes are all family-friendly, so I don't recommend bringing children younger than teenagers. read more

We were sitting in the VIP section at a front-row table and my fiancé, who usually avoids the spotlight like the plague, was called onstage and absolutely loved being a part of the show! This is a very funny and interactive, engaging show. Even though he never speaks, (mainly because of the tape on his face) his expressions say it all. Just hilarious fun for everyone. We were all somehow part of the show, even though he picked out about 15 people during the performance. It has the perfect mix of bits and running gags throughout and even the stuff you can see coming is delivered with authentic and skilled timing. It's like you're in the basement of your best friend's house, and your friend is the funniest person you know and is running ideas by you. "Let's see if we can have a staple-gun war" for example. Just a fun, fun, time. Well worth the money. I do have to say that the balloon swallowing opening act was not a "get them laughing" kind of thing if that's what they were going for. Maybe change it up to some jokes? I was just offput by that part and confused. read more

My husband has talked about wanting to go to Tape Face for years. I didn't know what to expect but it wasn't what we saw yesterday when we were given tickets. We were seated in a VIP spot, right next to the stairs to go on stage. We were so close that my knee was hitting the stage light. Tickets at the table I was at are $102 (+ taxes and fees) per person. I wasn't the one paying but I would be LIVID if I paid that much for this show. First of all, the entire show is audience participation based but you're not allowed to take any photos. My husband was called up to participate in the show and I hate that I wasn't allowed to snap a quick photo. I understand no video, but come on. The stage is dirty, many of the props look broken (like the golf club used in the blow dryer golf game) and the props are stored on stage in beat-up Amazon boxes. (See photo.) Yeah, actual Amazon cardboard boxes. They can't afford to fix anything up when they have a zillion signs for this show in Vegas that cost big money? This show is basically watching people from the audience do summer-camp-level games: - stand on a chair and use a broken toy golf club to try to hit ping pong balls off of a blow dryer onto a dustpan taped to a broom handle. - use a tape measure to have a lightsaber battle with Tape Face and then have a pretend dick measuring contest with the tape measures. - 3 guys is ratty wigs do a silly dance to "Blame It on the Boogie" by The Jackson 5. - have a staple gun fight with Tape Face while wearing chemistry lab goggles and holding three balloons. I was chin-level with the stage and got hit with a staple. - my husband had to hit a button that did a count down until the show was over and also put on gloves with tacks in them while the audience threw red balloons at him to pop while 99 Luft Balloons played. - woman was directed to do the same poses as a plastic lion figurine placed on a barstool while she kneeled on a chair. - old guy was made to put on coveralls, a Hawaiian shirt, a road worker vest and a construction hat over his clothes and then strip tease them off. - fly swatters and a feather duster in a lab coat stuck into a guy's pants (and same for Tape Face) and they dance with each other. - dance contest where two guys dance for a free Tshirt while Tape Face's assistant "Phyllis" yells sexual stuff at them. In addition to these audience games, Tape Face does his oven mitt puppets / Endless Love skit & dancing with himself from his 2016 AGT audition. He also pretends to solve a Rubik's cube while obviously swapping it out for a completed one from his pocket to cheers. He also uses a hanger, shoes, slacks and a tiny soccer ball with googly eyes to make a puppet that does a dance. I felt like the entire time I was forcing myself to laugh to be a good sport because I was in the front row. It just wasn't a show that I could recommend people to spend money on, especially at this price point. Obviously I'm totally fine with a show in Vegas not being appropriate for kids BUT I'm not sure what the age minimum is for this show because kids were there. I wouldn't bring kids to this. The opener / assistant "Phyllis" is dressed like a super nerd but says sexually harassing things and acts lecherous towards each audience member that goes on stage. There were some tween brothers at the table next to us with their parents and I could tell by their reactions that they were super uncomfortable with the sex jokes from her. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't this. For this price point, I don't expect to be hit with a staple from a staple gun, be so cramped that my knee is hitting a stage light, and that the props are broken and stored in old Amazon boxes. I have not seen props this busted since Suzie Malone's Le Magique Fantastique at Bally's. read more

We enjoyed the show. I agree with the reviews that some of it is a rehash of what we have seen on TV with AGT and that it has a lot of audience participation, but that is part of what made it so fun, especially given the smaller venue size. Some of the bits could be considered "classics" for him. So, not doing them people would complain too. It's like Queen not performing Bohemian Rhapsody, the audience would be disappointed. Overall, Tape Face does a great job. If you go you likely already know what type of schtick to expect, so don't act surprised the mime doesn't talk. I liked Phyllis; her comments were like bad pick up lines, but when contrasted to her nerd outfit it made for a funny character. It felt like something Carol Burnett would have done on her show if it was on today. The opener Tyler Reid did a good job. I worry for his stomach and those balloons though. I hope he has a good proctologist or it will be an interesting colonoscopy for him one day. read more

Terrific show. Very inventive talent. Almost completely audience participation so never the same show twice. He searches the audience with his flashlight for the right participants instead of just picking from the front row and isles. We have been to the show multiple times and have always enjoyed. Many of the bits are from his appearances on AGT but they are still fresh (because of audience participation) and funny. Show is downstairs at the MGM (The Underground) in the old Brad Garret space which is now The House of Tape.. This is a more intimate space than over at Harrahs. We left early to get a refund, not our type of show and Vegas has extremely talented artists charging around the same price. Tape Face at Harrah's is an amazing show. Whether you know him from America's Got Talent or not, if you want to laugh you need to see this show. The show is heavily driven by audience participation and all participants are guided by Tape Face. If you don't like audience participation this may not be for you as no one is safe from being chosen. It's an intimate audience with a VIP section where you're far more likely to be chosen and a general admission section. The things you need to do are simple, silly and fun so don't worry about being unable to do anything. There's not a bad seat in the house given the size of the theater. So don't be discouraged by the back row. Tape Face is a master mime and the show he puts on with his team is incredible. Be ready to belly laugh and laugh til it hurts and give in to all the fun! There are some adult themed jokes but we are talking PG - 13 at worst. But parents should certainly be informed when making the decision to see the show! Enjoy!! read more

Came because we got decent priced tickets and wanted to see a show in town. I didn't know who tape face really was except that he was on America got talent. I had YouTubed him to see what he did to get a feel if we should even go. Anyways, he performed pretty similar acts that I had seen on the short preview of YouTube. Great FUN! Intimate setting so you're up close to all the facial expressions that Tape Face makes. Audience participation makes the show and if you are picked - definitely go along with it. No one is made fun of - you're just letting all of us in the audience have a laugh at the skits. I got picked for one and loved it. Show is suitable for all ages, but there are a few gestures maybe you don't want to have to explain to a young child - but they're pretty tame. I'm giving Tape Face himself 5 stars. I enjoyed watching him on AGT, and he put on an amazing show in Vegas. However, his host and the female character that are at the beginning of the show made me want to walk out. They were absolutely awful. Not funny at all, offensive at times, and stupid humor. They make me not want to ever see Tape Face again. My recommendation is to show up late so you don't have to deal with watching those two. What a terrible way to bring down the brilliant act that Tape Face himself does. Also, not sure why people are saying he's not the original, but this was the same exact guy from AGT, not a fake as others have been claiming. Do not bring kids! I was told it was family friendly, but I would have been very upset to bring my 7 and 9 year old to this show. read more

What a great show! I loved how small the theater was so I could fully enjoy Tape Face's show without a huge crowd. I wasn't called up but someone in my group was, which made it even better! He likes to call up those who do not make direct eye contact with him lol. Most of the acts were his iconic acts from AGT, but he did incorporate some new acts which were very clever! This show was just .. okay. If you are a fan of Tape Face on AGT, I think you will enjoy it as it's the same style of stuff. As for me, I just found it lacking. I don't know if his act is really enough to carry an hour-and-a-half show. I think it would have worked better if he was part of a variety show to keep it interesting. I saw some reviews mention the performer changed midway through but I did not notice that, so I'm guessing they don't do that anymore. I was also not a big fan of the venue. It's hard to find open seats and if you sit in front of someone tall it can be hard to see around them. Unfortunately a couple things take place low to the ground so it can be hard to see. It can be fun to watch people you know go up on stage. I was actually picked from the crowd to do the Jackson routine. With all that haze you can't even see the audience when you're up on stage, so that worked out to keep me calm. If you're on the fence, go watch Tape Face's AGT performances. If you dig that, that's pretty much the same show. As for me, it got stale pretty quickly. Also note that there are no pictures of any kid. Tape Face greeted us as we left but did not allow for photos. I think you have to pay for VIP tickets now if you want photos? read more

The show is different and everything seems OK until I started noticing the audience he selected to participate in the show to do cool stuff are all white folks. Right at the end he picked a guy from a minority group and he forcefully hung a toilet seat on his chest. The guy was pretty well dressed, it was VERY uncomfortable to watch and very disrespectful. The guy was pretty good-natured and went along with it. This is because, at the beginning of the show, Tapeface announced that if you get picked and don't go up on the stage you are a D I C K. I believe Tapeface is rac...st ! I would not bring any person of color or any minority group to go see this show. Most likely this unfortunate group will get picked to get humiliated on stage with a toilet seat hung on you while EVERYONE laughs. Gross! It wasn't even funny. read more
