Amazing tapas place hidden in the 8th!!!…read more Make sure you get the chorizo in vino tinto! In fact, get 2 of them! Everything we tasted was incredible: the chicken in garlic and white wine sauce, the skewered pork, the fried queso, the empanadas (carne & spinach/cheese), and the zucchini! Make sure to get lots of bread to soak up every drop of the amazing sauces that come with each dish. The tequila shots were closer to 4cl than 2 and only €3! Needless to say, the tequila was flowing. The service was friendly and don't be afaid to let the waiter recommend some dishes for you (though they are all tasty! The small, cozy restaurant fills up quickly, so make a reservation so you're not left out in the cold with a stomach not full of chorizo.

We chose about 6 dishes to share with some bread on the side, which was enough for 2 of us. We were super impressed with the chorizo in red wine (chorizo al vinto tinto) - the sauce was awesome for bread dipping! - and the chicken in garlic and white wine sauce (pollo al ajillo) but in general everything was excellent. The service is friendly, the prices are decent and the atmosphere is nice. Make sure you reserve a table - it was busy enough on a week night so I imagine you wouldn't get seated without a reservation on a weekend!

My favorites are the goat cheese, their olives, the garlic shrimp, and the potato bravas. Highly suggest a reservation on the weekend as they can get busy. A tiny bit expensive but 100% worth it.

First, he was a bit brash and unhelpful, but we didn't really care too much at first and just got on with it. We ordered and maybe it's just not my taste, but it seemed a bit overpriced for what we got. We ordered the mixed plate and were underwhelmed. Nice meat, nice cheese, nice bread, but nothing to write home (or Yelp ;) about. At the end, our 7 person table wanted to pay. This took a long, long time. Finally, we started to pay, and in the middle of our table paying, the waiter walks out for a smoke. He can literally see us waiting for him to come back inside and let us pay, but he takes his time outside with his cigarette and phone. It was actually quite bizarre at the time, all of us needing to get to different places afterwards, some of us in a hurry, watching this dude smoke his cigarette leisurely. I griped a bit about our predicament and my friends urged me to write about it on Yelp... I kinda thought I was being pranked. Safe to say we won't be going back.

And the owners take turns chatting with the guests. If you are a regular that's a nice touch, if you are new and hungry it's a bit annoying. As someone else already said the waiter/owner is very in-your-face. He's nice but at first his demeanor seems harsh. As for the food - it was a mixed bag. Some was delicious and some was average. It was not cheap since you have to get about 4 dishes to be full. It has potential but could be improved. What they desperately need is some background music. It is so loud!

The owners of this restaurant is the tricky sort that prey on unsuspecting tourists. The owner was rude when translating their menu from German (only language provided). As a family of 5, we ordered a trio pasta dish that came as a portion for 3, not 5, and was charged €60 for it (€12 for 1 person *5) The pasta should not have been charged for 5 servings as that was clearly not provided. The food was too salty and lukewarm. The service was slow even though the place was half empty and the entire atmosphere was generally unpleasant. Please spare yourself from this less than mediocre experience. Almost any other restaurant will do!
