I had my first ride back home and everything went smoothly I actually hade a comfortable ride back home. I tend to get anxiety and the bus driver was there to help me very nice Gentleman. I was offered water and ships to munch on. The seats are also very comfortable. I got home just on time. Loved traveling with tap royal read more

If I could give zero stars and still review I would. The bus caught fire on the way to California and the company left us (passengers and driver) in the sun for five hours. There were only a handful of passengers. The company does not seem to have a plan to assist their clients in case of emergencies such as the one I encountered. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS BUS SERVICE. On a slite positive note. I want to thank the quick reaction of the bus driver, we all got off the bus safely and he extinguished the fire with the help of some good samaritans passing by. read more

I must say this place sucks!! The bus was late two hours from Phoenix to Fontana CA and they didn't even bother to notify us. Upon our return back they cancelled the bus and again didn't notify us. Once I called them they said there will be another bus available around 4pm. Very unprofessional staff when we called and they didn't seem to care that our bus was cancelled at all. Won't be using them again and will have to go with greyhound. Now I called them to verify the 4pm bus and the lady is saying the bus won't even stop in Bloomington CA. I bought a ticket online- for "internet price"--no email, no receipt, no nothing. I call and no answer. I try to buy again- it says "your ticket has been processed already" so it wont let me do anything.---so I go to the station and they say "we are having website problems, you wont be charged but need to buy another ticket"---so what choice do I have? Then they sell me another ticket for the full price---and I say "I thought it was X"- and she says "that is the internet price and you are not buying on the internet". REally? you just said YOU had website problems. So she says "email them and they will refund you". I did- and no one answers until I email them 3 times. They finally respond, "We did not get any emails- and you agreed to pay the "non internet" price- as if I had a choice, let me see what they will let me refund". So they refund the price of the internet ticket-- a week later- I rode tufesa home. Compared to tufesa- the tap royal buses are filthy, the bathroom is nasty, and the schedule is confusing as you have to change buses. Tufesa is a much more professional operation- just look at the reviews. I will never ride a tap royal bus again--EVER. They punish you for their problems with the ticket---by not refunding until you fight them, and then only partial, to ride a filthy bus. do yourself a favor--ride the TUFESA bus line. Avoid the hassles of this company. Read the reviews if you doubt me. read more

Unbelievably poor service. I booked a ticket with Tap Royal from Phoenix to Rocky Point. I planned the rest of my trip around the bus ride; my flight, motel, etc. I tried to call to confirm, but only got an answering machine in Spanish. I happened to be in Phoenix a week before my trip was scheduled, so I stopped by the ticket office to confirm everything was fine. They assured me I was good to go. When I got to the terminal this morning, I was told they don't have a bus on Wednesday. I showed her my ticket and she said she doesn't know why they sold me a ticket, but there is no bus. I told her I confirmed in person a week ago and she said the girl was probably new. I asked what she was going to do for me and she said there was nothing she could do. I was on my own. I called a competing service and their van picked me up at the terminal within 15 minutes and drove me to Rocky Point. Never again will I use Tap Royal, and I would never recommend them to anyone! read more

DON'T TAKE THIS COMPANY!! I've purchased a ticket online, going from station "Las Vegas North" to Phoenix. This station doesn't exist anymore, but they lead customers to it anyway - the ticket said "Las Vegas North", the webside said "Las Vegas North" and they even told me personally on the phone the bus would start from there. I waited 3 hours, and it's a very scary part of the city. Later I called a thousend times to find a solution, they never answered - and if they answered they simply hung up on me. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, unfriedly, disorganized. I never experienced such a terrible service, simply awful! read more

They should be called "Crap Royal". Used this bus line just a week ago from Phoenix to LA. Had many issues that were very poorly handled by this company. First off they charge $50 for a ride from Phoenix to LA, they promise wifi on the bus, roomy ride and arrival in downtown LA. I decided to try this one instead of greyhound which is only $30 because it looked cleaner, had wifi and outlets in each seat. When I bought the ticket the night before the girl cashier I think her name was Yazmin said specifically that the bus goes to Huntington Park but stops in downtown LA at some point on the route, although she didn't know when, she assured me it did. She didn't seem to know much about anything as every question I asked her she seemed hesitant or unsure of herself, maybe it was her first day. Anyway the bus was scheduled to leave at 8am the next day. I arrived at 730am and was ready to go. The bus did not get there until 830am. I went to get on the bus and just asked the driver about it arriving in downtown LA and he said nope they only stop in Huntington Park and they aren't allowed to stop in downtown cause they don't have the permits and will get ticketed. So right there the girl already lied saying it went to downtown. Huntington Park puts me 40 min away from where I need to end up, so now the person picking me up has to go 40 min to get me as opposed to just 10min. I hop on the bus, the bus is very clean and looks fairly new which made me happy. We finally head out and drive for about 10 min when the driver announces he needs to stop for gas and we all have to get off the bus and says it will be another 15 min waiting. Why didn't you fuel up on your way to pick us up? You were already late anyway. After he fuels up we head out on the freeway at this point it's already 9:15am and already over an hour late from when it's supposed to hit the road. Then he stops on the freeway on the shoulder, doesn't say anything and goes outside. We sat there for another 10min with no one knowing what's going on. When he finally comes back and takes off its almost 9:30 and we are barely hitting the road. He stops another 2-3 times shortly after that because he said he needed to use the bathroom. Why didn't you just go when you stopped the other 10 times. On top of that the wifi they promised. Good luck. They had two networks and neither one of them worked. I asked the driver about it he said it should work but neither of them did. At least if you take a greyhound they leave on time and will accurately drop you off where you are supposed to be. The only upside to this bus was the seats were comfortable, so I gave them one star. Call customer service to complain and there isn't any customer service line, just the girl working the register where you buy tickets all she did was say sorry and nothing we can do. Tap Royal customer service does not answer their phone (I tried countless times) at the only phone number provided online at their main hub in Phoenix. Why have a number if no one answers and the answering machine says that i can't leave a message because the box is full. I called a number provided for Tap in Tucson but the girl only spoke Spanish...no one there spoke English. Why? This is the United States...why assume everyone calling knows how to speak Spanish just because it is a Mexican company. I was calling to ask about the days and times the bus goes to Rocky Point. This information is not provided online. I need this information to book flight arrangements in advance. This is a very poorly run business...unfortunately I do not think it will succeed with bus runs to and from Puerto Penasco and Phoenix Airport. What a shame those that advertised this service don't really care to answer the phone or provide quality customer service. Very dissatisfied with Tap Royal. read more

If I could give this company a zero, I would. My family has given this bus company a try several times and they continue to fail in every way. I'm amazed how this company manages to stay afloat int he U.S. They have no technology, crappy website, the worst communication skills in the industry, they constantly run late, their buses break down and they rarely answer the phone. If they do answer the phone, they are unable to provide you with any real updates once their buses departs! I was unable to reach my parents on the cellphones and I called the departure hub to find out if the bus had arrived at their destination but they were unable to answer that question! All they could offer was to give me the phone number to the destination hub in Mexico, which by the way never answered the phone! I called back the departure hub and they also could not get a hold of anyone! How is a company unable to reach their own people internally?! How are they unable to provide their customers with basic information?! They act as if every location was independent of each other. This company falls way below American standards. They could learn something from Greyhound, who offers actual time updates on their website!!! read more
