I'm active in a Mardi Gras krewe and being tanned at events has always been a must. I first gave…read moreSunBodies a try in January when I had my ball and I was impressed! My experience was great! It was right after New Orleans had a major snow storm, and SunBodies was still equipped to take me and ready at my appointment time. They were even able to get me in a bit earlier since I arrived earlier. I will say I sometimes feel insecure about spraying just because you do have to do it naked, and the tanner made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I told her it was my first time and she told me exactly what to do, what poses to do, and how to take care of my tan. She was awesome! The tan came out great, and it lasted for almost two weeks which is definitely a plus!! For reference I got the rapid only because I don't like having tan on for a long time. Today was my second time, and they were awesome once again. They took me at my appointment time, and she told me exactly what to do, and how to get dress afterwards. The atmosphere overall is great! I highly recommend Sunbodies! I was also able to pay before spraying because I arrived early which insured an easy and seamless exiting after my tan. They do have a variety of swimwear, I just haven't taken the second to look because it is currently 35 degrees in New Orleans! I would say booking with their website is a little confusing, and I thought I had made an appointment but I do not think It went through into their system. They were still able to get me on today, and at the same time that I had previously wanted. Will be back!! Be a good person, and arrive early and tip your tanner, they deserve it for sure!

Obsessed with Sunbodies ! Have been since high school (long long time ago) ! Hope I can keep this…read morereview short. Sunbodies has always been the best. It never needed to get better, but it did. I love all the beds. Truly every single one is my favorite. Something about room 2 makes me feel sexy! They have the same mirrors in every room, but this one hits different. I like to turn the light off in this room and just have the light from the bed - it feels like a spa. I know I said they're all my favorite, and they are, but bed 2 is what it feels like ascending into heaven! It's the bed that gives the angels their glow. Go get your vitamin D from Sunbodies. Oh they have a cute boutique too, and their customer service is like no other

For starters, I had been turned off to spray tan solutions that include bronzer because of how orange I've left other salons. She customized the solution for me after talking to me about the results I was looking for and I left with a gorgeous TAN/BRONZE color that looks so natural and isn't orange in the least. She was extremely professional, efficient, and friendly. After my tan was done, she let me dry in front of a fan and even applied a finishing powder to elbows, behind the knees, etc so that I could go about my day without feeling sticky. She is located inside of Hi Brow, but runs her business separately so the Hi Brow employees won't really greet you or check in with you. That's something I kind of knew going into it so it didn't bother me. Anyway, her prices are reasonable/standard and the service is exceptional. I will definitely be back!

My schedule was crazy; therefore, had to change my times. She was very sweet about it. I was so embarrassed. I am a brown girl who had to even out my skin due to tan lines from my tank tops (my gown is strapless). I do not look fake or overly tanned. Very natural. My sister looks amazing!!!! They also have many other spa services-my favorite being the hydration bed! This Planet Beach is very clean and I know that the new owner has started remodeling some of it to give it a more 'spa-like' feel. On some nights, they even have wine and cheese trays available for customers to snack on as they wait. As far as pricing goes, this Planet Beach is the most reasonable in the city (maybe even the state). What some people pay for a single spray tan or spa service at other places, I pay for a month's worth here. I honestly don't know how they stay in business! The owner is also very friendly and helpful and goes above and beyond for her customers.

Hey there, to the person reading this review looking for a sign on wether or not you should give…read morethis place a shot. Waxing can be intimidating, and if done incorrectly, can be extremely painful and regretful. I had my fair share of terrible waxes in my lifetime. But guess what, none of them have been here. Been coming to Bombshell for the last decade and I've had nothing but great service over the years from everyone I've encountered. I've "Happily" spent my money here on my Fiancée and I and continue to do so consistently. Sooooooo...if you've read this much of my review, then I've already made your mind up for you Experience Bombshell, get off of the fence you are metaphorically on, and you'll understand why so many people love it here and keep coming back.

Their attendants are habitually late at performing services but once, when my teenage daughter was just 8 minutes late, not only did they deny her service, they insisted that one of her services be deducted from her account. I had noticed in a previous post that someone put an image of a "Notice to Vacate" on the door of the business and it didn't surprise me at all - what goes around, comes around. It's pretty simple - the Golden Rule - treat people the way you want to be treated. Again, this "Bombshell" waxing incident was from 5 years ago on the northshore but I still remember it as though it was yesterday. Fortunately, I have not had to experience shockingly poor customer service at this level by any business. Just dreadful. Hopefully they have changed their policies and treat people as humans.

Naturally I love all things glam, and the Glam Bar is no exception. My stylist at the Glam Bar is Sadie, and to put it lightly she is completely amazing! I've been seeing her since she was at her previous salon and followed her here to her new home, and I've gotta say I really love the environment here. The vibe is sleek and modern and everything is brand spanking new and sparkly. Get ready to relax and get pampered! Did you forget to grab a drink or small bite to eat before coming in for you appointment? No prob! You don't have to sit there in agony, while your stomach growls like the lion at the Audubon Zoo- because they offer various assorted snacks, Keurig coffee, soda, water, wine- just help yourself! The stylists here all seem extremely talented, but I have only seen my girl Sadie, and she is just the bees knees. Not only is she the sweetest and easiest person on earth to talk to but girls got talent! She always executes the style and color I request, but at this point I usually ask her to do her thang because she knows what works for my hair color, face shape, etc. Like any great stylist, she frequently attends seminars to stay up to date on the latest and greatest techniques, so you can always feel confident taking your crazy hair fantasy to her to turn it into reality! Other services they offer are eyelash extensions, brow waxing and spray tanning. I haven't had the opportunity to try these services out yet, but as soon as I get some extra cash I plan on giving the lash extensions and spray tanning a go! Go visit Sadie @the Glam Bar and get ready to meet the new, beautiful you!
