Came here a few weeks ago to play disc golf at the park. What a lovely course! A nice blend of…read morewooded and open field - I was surprised at how hot I was on the course. There are several different tees to choose from, of course, but using the UdIsc app helps. Like many disc golf course courses, this is also bike path trail so you do have to watch out for that. Although this was not an issue for us whatsoever and never has been. Some people were also walking their dogs and doing other things here as well. This is a huge park. I think there were people swimming in another area. All free. Easy access. Good parking. Will definitely return next time I'm in Johnson City.

Parking at that time was not a problem as we were the 1st ones there. There are 4 diamonds in the quad and the entry gate was staffed by a tournament person. The narrow pathway was used by both those with tournament passes, those having to pay at the gate, and those exiting the quad. Needless to say, it was not a good traffic flow and also not good in the times of a pandemic. I also noted that the pricing was very high. The quad itself is very nice. There are bleachers on both sides of all 4 fields as well as plenty of room for spectators who bring their own chairs. There is a building in the middle which serves as the press room with views to all 4 quads and the ability to manage the scoreboards. The scoreboards were all functional for a change but the scorekeeper was very late in tracking scores for each play. The dugouts were also very nice and the fields well kept. While we were there they had grounds crew working each field between games. A nice touch! Since we got there so early, I had plenty of time to walk while the team warmed up. As it turns out, I walked around most of the park. It was a bit hilly walking up by the monument and administrative building then a steep incline down the back side to the playground area and water. It also looked like there was a space for performances and other organized activities. I finished my walk with a lap around the fields and saw there was also a 5th field in addition to a possible soccer and lacrosse field or football fields to the side. Very nice facilities indeed! Because I came and went between games I was concerned upon return about finding a parking space. The games were well spaced out and people were coming and going, I had no problem finding an open spot. It was not as good as the front row by the gate we got at the crack of dawn, but it was fine all the same. Tomorrow we will play at a different field but I hope to return to this park later in the week. The fact that it had running water in the restrooms and indoor plumbing inside the quad as well as other facilities throughout the park, made it quite convenient and pleasant to be at.

There hasn't been a new review in a couple of years and it seems like some of the negative reviews…read moreseem like to be quirks of a new business opening. Me and my wife recently came here during thanksgiving week to see what this place is like. This place was absolutely awesome for what it was! We didn't have a dog but they were welcoming of that. The people that come here are absolutely friendly and they seem like regulars that come here. This is such a great social event where everyone gets to me everyone and it's way better than going to a sit-down establishment. Even though is an outdoor place there's at least a shelter where you're indoors by the bar and you got heat keeping you warm. Restrooms were very clean , the food is absolutely astounding. This place has non alcoholic beverages as well if you do not want to drink. Staff here was very friendly and everyone here is down to earth. Highly recommend visiting this place if you have a chance. Hours are not too bad at all

Talk to GOD and get…read morea DOG! #ReflectDogs Love & Forgiveness We had never tried coming here because we never wanted to be a part of any organization that would have us as a member ha ha ha ha ha no we really didn't try because it has been our experience as we travel the country that you have to supply proof other than tags that your dog is vaccinated! Kind of like your kids before you send them to school! But as you know we travel and go to dog parks, a little over 2,000 so far across the country. With the exception of one just outside of Tulsa Oklahoma and one just outside of Durango that has always been the rules, but there have been exceptions. So when someone I met at the dog park told me they had worked here and that the collar tag would be sufficient, I signed up. But when I drove up the young man that met me at the gate told me I would need proof other than the tag? And I was looking forward to having something to eat hahaha anyway, having spent the majority of my adult life running car dealerships I can certainly appreciate or disapprove of the fact that as I was getting back in my car to leave disappointedly the young man pointed out to me that I could drive across town if I really wanted to spend some money at one of their stores? A for effort but F on timing... So go online register your dog and do all the other stuff and wait until you get the email. Do not believe anyone that tells you they worked here and that isn't required. YoungLady did not have her service vest on and I offered to let them look at my phone to verify that she is registered and vaccinated according to the service that provided her. So there may be some confusion there, but more than one person told me I should be okay before I got here:-( they do have a handicap spot right by the gate!!

This place used to be really nice. As of this year I think we've had what will be our last stay…read more Overcrowding: The campground has added way too many tent sites without adequate parking. The result is 0 parking spots and no space for anyone to comfortably enjoy themselves. The fire pits all blow smoke at each other and the tents fill up with other tent sites fire pit smoke. Noise issues: Want to go to sleep at a reasonable time? Too bad. Two nights in a row a bunch of drunkards were blasting music and having a great time from 9pm until 3am. Don't plan on getting much sleep if it's a busy weekend. Barking dogs, screaming kids, loud music, and noisy people well into the night. Safety concerns: the main small beach near the domes where everyone plays is littered with boulders and sharp rocks in the water. Maybe nothing can be done about that. However open inspecting the rotting wood steps leading to the water I found an actual sharp-to-a-point metal spike sticking straight up out of the wood. Luckily I was able to hammer down with a large rock, however that was an impaled foot or worse waiting to happen. There's lots of exposed rebar and it's generally unsafe. Considering how many kids and drunk adults loiter in that area, it's only a matter of time until someone needs stitches. No wonder they have you sign a liability waiver to be here. Lack of facility maintenance: The door locks on most of the bathrooms don't work. The hot water in the showers is barely functional if at all. The wood ramp to the shipping container showers becomes very slippery when wet and poses a safety hazard. There's a wasp sanctuary under the deck as well. Several adults and children were stung this weekend simply walking up the ramp to the bathrooms. With all the money this place is making is there no time to fix and maintain these things? Last but not least, THE CAMP DOGS: a gentleman came to our group and asked that we put all our dogs on leashes (despite them already being on leashes at the time...) and then allows the "camp dog" which is a large black and white husky to roam freely. This dog is an A**HOLE. It constantly bothers people's camp sites and tries to pick fights with other dogs. Our dogs were personally harassed by this dog when he came to our campsite and started eating our dogs food. Then tried to start a fight with our dogs. Then tried to BITE MY WIFE. I had to chase him off every couple hours both days. This dog should not be allowed off leash however the campground owners don't have enough self awareness to do so. All in all, it's been fun over the last few years, but this place has grown too big for the owners and staff to properly manage. Won't likely be coming here again, and we'll be sure to let everyone know what it's become.
