I went mainly for a new style and some help with my bangs. I had gotten my bangs cut by a different stylist at another salon and they weren't what I asked for, so I wanted some help from the salon I thought I could trust. First, when I got my hair washed I was expecting the full service, like a hair mask and hand massage, but for some reason I didn't get that. Second, I asked for a shag cut with lots of layers in the back and my baby bangs to be fixed and styled differently. What I got was uneven bangs and long layers. My stylist didn't know how to help me fix my bangs and repeatedly tried to style them, but I still left with my bangs sticking up and super choppy like my 4 year old sister cut my bangs. Instead of experimenting on my hair, I would've been much happier if my stylist told me she can't achieve the style I wanted. After, I was embarrassed so I just paid and left hiding my bangs. When I got home sobbing, my mom called the salon asking if I could get my service refunded. They called back saying that I could only get $20 back. They also mentioned that I was the one that came in with uneven bangs. We are very disappointed with how this salon manages these complaints because we at least expected them to offer to fix what was done to my bangs. I came to get my hair cut to boost my confidence, but I left feeling even worse than I did before. Me and my family will not be returning to this salon. Edit: after this review, I got a full refund and was offered a chance to get my hair fixed.

I don't usually begin reviews with "y'all" (as a native New Englander I'm still uncomfortable with…read morethe phrase in general)... But... y'all. Sri is the best there is. I have been struggling with my hair for over a year. It just stopped looking the way that I am used to, and I was SO. FRUSTRATED. I had finally worked up the courage to do "the big chop" (even though I SO did not want to do a stereotypical "post wedding chop!") and made an appointment with Sri after stalking her work on Instagram. When I sat down with Sri, she took the time to hear all of my concerns and told me my hair was completely healthy and I didn't need to chop it off, I just needed a different kind of cut. She dry cut my hair (something I am completely not used to and I was nervous!) and really took her time, which I really appreciated. She transformed my hair and got rid of dead ends and bulk without taking too much length! Then she did an Olaplex treatment and gave me the most relaxing shampoo and head massage. (Side note: I LOVE a place that doesn't have separate people washing hair, what's up with that anyway?) THEN she gave me the bounciest, shiniest blowout. I have a weird hairline and usually people can't get the bangs the way I like, but Sri is a wizard with a blowdryer and round brush and NAILED IT. I woke up this morning still looking like I just stepped out of the salon. Sri has a new customer for life. I also would like to mention that she is so sweet and down to earth, I feel like I have a new friend. Also, the salon is so gorgeous I could live there. I think that just about says it all. It could've been an honest mistake but for places that do not give itemized receipts please be sure you fact check their total.
