I cannot sing the praises of Blew enough!! I was looking for a hair stylist for my wedding on April…read more19th, 2014 and was lucky enough to receive Marc's name from Sarah Giggar of Giggar Makeup Artistry. I booked a trial hair appointment with Marc and sat in his chair, armed with a few pinterest ideas that I had tagged earlier on. Marc listened to my ideas and created a fantastic up-do that was everything I wanted. He perfected the style during a second trial and I knew I had to have him and his assistant Courtney for my big day!! They arrived bang on time with a plethora of hair gadgets and started working on my four bridesmaids, mother and mother in law. It was a fun filled Gaga infused morning that helped shape for the way for an unforgettable day. Everyone loved Marc & Courtney and they created fantastic hairstyles that showcased the individual styles of all the women. I knew we were in safe hands and cannot thank the both of them enough for their hard work, patience and tremendous talent. I felt like a beautiful bride and would recommend Marc Rolleri and the Blew Salon to every bride or woman looking for a fantastic stylist. I will be returning to the Salon very soon for a haircut and my sister has already declared Courtney her new stylist! Thank you, again!

The first time I went to Blew was July after not having my hair cut for a while. My normal salon…read morefor the last 5 years is in West Haven, and looking for a new/closer to home salon where I could also easily go for a bang trim while saving on gas money would be ideal. Based on reviews, I actually wanted Marc to cut my hair but he wasn't taking new clients, instead he set me up with Christine. I have long fine (yet full) wavy hair to my middle/lower back. I am very specific how I like my bangs cut, and always show pictures. I was also careful to explain how I didn't like too much cut, I always keep my hair long with a few very long layers for movement. The trim was fine, but the bangs weren't really how I wanted them, so I went back 2 weeks later for an adjustment. They weren't perfect but better. Fast forward 2 weeks ago, I go for another trim (an inch) the long layers dusted so I would have more volume and a bang trim/shape, again with a picture or 2 (of the Instagram influencer whose bangs I love). They looked ok yet again not what I asked for when I left. I went back AGAIN to have them adjusted again showing the same pictures. When I washed my hair 2 days later I realized what a horrible CHOP JOB Christine did-the sides are now completely uneven, worst of all not only my bangs but the side of my head by my EARS!!-those pieces were long (middle of my neck at least) and blended in from bangs on down when I walked in. NOW I HAVE TUFTS OF HAIR THAT STICK OUT ON THE SIDES AND THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX THIS FOR MONTHS UNTIL I GROW THEM OUT!!! Thanks Christine for the ridiculous side burns I now have wearing a baseball cap, or any hat Fall into Winter! Great look. A master stylist with "years of experience"?? I was really upset the last few days, now I'm livid. Thank heavens I hadn't make an appointment to have my color done like I enquired on my last hair appointment, I'd probably leave looking like a zebra. Its a shame, because while she is super nice, the salon is cozy & 10 minutes from my house, I am paying for a service, and its the service/cut that falls way short. I would never allow her to touch my hair again. PS the last photo is the one I have shown Christine FOUR TIMES of how I wanted my bangs to look!!

Christina came right over- she is not only beautiful but so nice and comforting! ( I can also say- her hair looked great!) She totally took her time- went thru my hair looking at it- did not seem worried at all. She had already been told of my hair issue and had a plan already thought of!!! Christina explained what we could do and long term what we could do. I have long hair and was so disgusted at the damage done prior I was ready to cut it all off. Christina said that was totally not what we were going to do. There was no pressure to do anything I did not want to do. Long story short-- I LOVE MY HAIR! It looks great and feels great. Before I left Christina made sure to tell my any issues to let her know- and we can adjust. I made sure I booked my next appt. Not only did my hair come out great but all the services and products purchased did not break the bank! The owner is also great- very personable! I sat down till a girl came up front to get something never even looked at me so I said excuse me and she kept right on walking to the back of the salon. Thankfully another woman called her to take care of me. But I'm rating my review on how well my hair was done not their customer service. So my hairdresser of 30 years decided to retire during the pandemic and I let my hair grow to a ridiculous length out of fear of going to a new one. Fortunately I have a friend and I love her hair so I asked where she went and the name of hairdresser. The salon is Luna and the stylist is Nakia. Great made an appointment came in and Nakia did her thing. She cut layers ( I never had before) & blowdried my hair and it looked great. The test was still to come - me doing my hair! After reading some of the other positive reviews, I decided to try out Salon V, driving 40 minutes from Danbury. And man, am I so glad I did! I made my appointment online, easy peasy, selected first available for the time slot I desired. The stylist that I was paired up with originally was out sick, so I was moved over to Terry's chair. And as fate would have it, it was a perfect match. As a stylist with over 30 years of experience, she listened to what I was looking to have done, and dare I say it, almost intuitively gave me just what I was looking for. No kidding. As a 45 y/o mother of a 3 1/2 y/o rambunctious boy, I don't consider my hair "sexy" by any means. Terry gave me sexy hair. Even with my jacked up hair color (faded reddish purple by my own creation), it still looks amazing. Not an easy task, I know. She also took the time to explain many things to me about my hair, and what manner of blow drying (for when I have time to do so), would work best for the state my hair is in. Needless to say, I have found my new hair home. If you're looking for someone with oodles of experience, no fuss no muss. And a personable woman who listens to what you want, but is also going to be honest with you about what can realistically be achieved, then Terry is the one for you.
