It's in a no frills location and it quite small, but is chock a block with spices you just cannot find at typical stores. One of the spices we were looking for was empty I it's bin but after inquiring we were presented with more stock from the back. Be sure to look up and down as the spice bins are very closely displayed in the compact space. I word of warning, the moment you park and enter the lot you will smell the spices. I did find myself needing to cough a little as the spices are pungent and can irritate your air passages. The owner was so friendly offering advice about storage methods. She recommended mason jars. I always store my spices in glass jars as it's the best for spices. The prices were quite good and I really enjoyed being able to find several spices at such good prices. Today is #ThankYouThursday and I couldn't think of a better local business that I want to support and show some gratitude to than Twisted Bee Farms! Now we all know the important and crucial part that bees play into the environment so that goes without saying. Twisted Bee Farms is one of Arizona's best places for local honey. They have over thirty flavors of honey, they carry bee products (like honeycomb and bee pollen), and they even have edible flowers. I had ran across their booth at the eighth-annual Arizona Margarita Mojito Craft Beer Food Truck Festival (Yes, that's really the festival name) and I'm a fan now. You can go on their site and find out where they'll be popping up next. They're really big in the farmer's market scene! If you're a foodie, Twisted Bee Farms is not a place to miss. I recently put together one of those Instagram/TikTok butter boards and used their Raspberry & Habanero honey on it and wow! Amazing! I also bought their Carolina Reaper and that stuff, "makes my tongue sweat."

Lee Lee International Market feels less like a grocery store and more like a love letter to the…read moreworld. In the West Valley, where the desert stretches toward the horizon, this place opens its doors and somehow makes the earth feel smaller. You walk in for a few ingredients and leave having wandered through a dozen countries without ever needing a passport. The abundance is almost overwhelming in the best possible way. An entire aisle devoted to noodles, shelves lined with teas that carry centuries of tradition, an eclectic produce section where purple sweet potatoes rest beside Asian pears, pandan leaves perfume the air, and every basket seems to hold a new story waiting to be cooked. Some of my favorite treasures are the bun bò Huế noodles, the purple sweet potatoes, crisp Asian pears, fresh pandan, and the endless array of fun drinks that always convince me to try something new. Every visit feels like a small adventure. And then there are the little surprises that make this place unforgettable: an incredible pho restaurant tucked inside, a jewelry shop sparkling quietly nearby, and families from every background filling their carts with pieces of home. What I admire most is that places like Lee Lee's do more than sell groceries--they preserve memory. They help grandparents pass recipes to grandchildren. They give immigrants a taste of familiarity. They invite curious people to discover cultures different from their own with open hands and open hearts. In a world that can feel increasingly divided, a market like this reminds us that one of the easiest ways to understand another person is to share what they eat, what they drink, and what they gather around the table. I am deeply grateful to have Lee Lee's in the West Valley. It is not just an Asian market. It is a crossroads of cultures, a celebration of tradition, and proof that sometimes the most beautiful journeys begin with a shopping cart.

He said that the last brand didn't sell well and they put everything on sale to clear it out. He gave me an uncertain timeline of two weeks for a restock, but it didn't sound real. I am from out of town, and it's a two hour drive, and I came singularly for the frozen mock meat. I did walk the isles and they do have a lot of items to choose from that you will not find in a typical American supermarket, and I picked up some interesting sauces and condiments I hadn't seen before, which was good. Very, very bad was the bathroom. There was a pool of dirty water on the floor with a mop and pail. The latch on the single sit down stall was broken and I walked in on someone. The sinks are stained and dirty. The smell is bad and overwhelming. They need to clean it and wipe it down and fix the sit down stall latch. All in all, the store has a lot of asian products you will not find in supermarkets, they are comme ci, comme ça! ‍ on frozen mock meat products, and somebody really needs to clean their men's bathroom.
