It was my first time at Tangelo today, I followed my hair stylist Tyler here. I have to say I love the vibes in this salon! The decor is very professional and welcoming and I love the location. Tyler has been cutting and coloring my hair since 2016 and I'm so happy to see him at this amazing new salon. He has a true talent for coloring my hair in a way that is so natural, grows out without being obvious, and gets me compliments from people thinking I just had a long beach day. I'm a natural blond and was so nervous to try highlights several years ago but I'm so glad I found Tyler because he really knows how to keep the look natural. I also love that he is always giving me product and styling tips that I've never heard of anywhere else (even the gram). I wish I had found Tyler sooner, so many stylists have bleached, chopped, and butchered my look before I finally found a good one. Sumin is THE BEST!!!! She is masterful at hair color. Her highlights look SO NATURAL. I'm very particular about highlights not being chunky and hers are the best! It's so nice to be able to trust someone with cut and color. Let me start by saying Tyler has been cutting my hair for almost two years now and, honestly, I will follow him wherever he goes. My December haircut with Tyler was at Tangelo, a new salon for me. The salon itself is a wonderful space with a very modern feel and - most important to me - tons of natural light. Parking is also super close and easy. As always, Tyler did a great job with my hard-to-manage hair. It's not curly but it's not wavy - something in between with lots of cowlicks. I have struggled with my hair for my whole life and very rarely have I gotten a good cut. Tyler has it dialed. When he first cut my hair, it was really long and I asked him to cut it all off into an angled chin-length bob with lots of layers in the back. He did exactly what I asked and it was perfect. He always cuts and then checks with me to see if I want it shorter or different in any way. And if I say yes, he does exactly what I ask and is super accommodating. I get compliments on my hair all the time. Visiting Tyler is like visiting with an old friend. He is so sweet, calm, polite, easy going and talented. I love my hair and look forward to my appointments...even more now in this new, incredible space! read more

We have been more than impressed with Jenelle Mullen as a hair dresser! She has bent over backwards to make sure my daughter loves her hair. Our first time she squeezed us in on a holiday weekend to fix a home dye job gone really bad so she wouldn't have to go to school humiliated. She spent over five hours bleaching and then dying the desired color, at least much closer to what she was wanting. She made my daughter feel "normal" for what she was embarrassed by doing. My daughter recently wanted to have it re-done after 7 months. Going from dark to lighter isn't as extreme as lighter to darker, which is what she requested. After spending a few hours on her hair and charging minimal for her time and services my daughter called me upset that it was way too dark again. I called Jenelle and once again she was more than accommodating. We both knew it was what my daughter had requested but not what she had visioned. Once again she bent over backwards, stretched her schedule thin and had my daughter come in the next morning to see what they could do to fix it. Within an hour and a half I received a text from my daughter that she loved it and that Jenelle would not take any financial compensation for her time or supplies. Money didn't seem like enough to pay her for making a child who struggles with self esteem daily feel beautiful again. She is truly amazing!! read more

I followed her from her last salon to Tangelo and like the vibe there way more and all the staff I've encountered are friendly, down-to-earth kind of people. I recently moved and went to my old stylist and it didn't go well... She messed up my color and cut, so I went back to Ristina to fix it and wow did she! I have been going to the owner, Erica, and she is both an amazing stylist, and also provides that therapy you sometimes need from your stylist. She is kind and intelligent, and she knows how to make you feel your best when you leave Tangelo. I went today and the COVID protocols were on point. Everyone masked, hand sanitizer at the door, limited clients (it was just Erica and I almost the whole time), temperature check, separated stations, the whole nine. I felt completely safe when I was there and I feel completely re-done this evening. Even my kids told me how great my hair looks! This place will not disappoint you. Erica was my stylist (she is the owner of the salon) she gave me exactly what i asked for, while giving me advice on what colors would look best on my skin tone and how colors will translate into my hair with my base color. She really goes through with you your hair goals and what will be a good fit with your hair type and what tones you want and how to take care of the color.
