This is now Punjabi Fusion grill. WOW! I went on the recommendation of someone. This was the best Indian food I have had since moving here 17 years ago. It is authentic and not the American version. They will ask your preferred heat level. Take it seriously. I said a 3, not American 3, Indian 3. It was hot!!! So keep that in mind. While it is an old Waffle House, the service they used at the table is impressive! They are certainly stepping up to the plate! In a location off Hwy 290 where there's less restaurants, used to be Waffle House. Nothing fancy but that's why it's called " Express". I gave it 3.5 stars because of what I ordered: garlic Naan needs more "garlic" and kinda dry. Chicken tandoori was tasty with onion & green pepper . The sauce was pretty good . Will definitely try others like curry ( even have goat ), butter chicken, lamb saag , & vegetarian dishes ( which I will not try ). Have to do the $12.99 lunch Buffett next time . Update to my original reviews. They no longer offer buffet, now making them not stand out from the crowd, because Indian food is expensive and the buffet really set them apart. With no drink fountain and having to pay for multiple drinks and no buffet on top of no table side service and average ambiance I am now giving them the average rating of three stars for at least having very good food. First time here, my wife and I liked it a lot. My wife had the Tandoori Chicken and Lamb Curry with rice. I had the Chicken Curry and the Butter Chicken with rice and we shared Garlic Naan Bread. Everything was flavorful and delicious! For drinks I had the Mango Lassi drink, a mango shake and it was really good. The person at the counter was courteous and very good at explaining the menu items. The place is nice and very clean. We'll return again. We are very excited to have an Indian fast food restaurant setting in the area and the food is as good as then upscale restaurant we frequent in Greenville. Highly recommend. read more

So this is a small buffet style restaurant in Spartanburg that tastes like Indian home cooking. Delicious! Spartanburg was desperately needing a clean, friendly, and delicious Indian restaurant. Entering the restaurant your nose is assaulted only by the rich, fresh, and warm smell of Indian spices. The quality of all the ingredients and the meats were excellent: fresh and little fat. This is going to be one of my favorite places to go to and Thank goodness it is near home so I can come often. Let's keep this place packed and busy so they can expand in a few years. I have eaten at many curry houses in London and Indian restaurants all over the US and Canada (I like Indian food, ok?), but I can honestly say the lamb soap I ate tonight was among the best I have ever eaten. In a converted small Who knows what it used to be. They charge a lot for what you're getting. Small amounts of meat contained in the medium sized portion. Probably will never return as the value was not there for me. Even charged for water. read more

I just remembered why I didn't prefer buffet. Even though the had a sign up about getting a clean plate when coming back to the buffet bar people were still using their same plate and no one was there to remind them to get clean plates and when someone was there from the back they didn't care to remind them. The food was somewhat ok, a little on the dry side and the did not have many vegetarian or vegan options. Only had the tomato, onions and cucumber salad. No other salad options. I have been looking for Indian cuisine similar to one particular restaurant from my childhood on the west coast for many years. We found one that was a 20 minute drive but it was definitely worth it! My favorite dish from this restaurant is the Navratan Korma, a yellow curry sauce with mixed vegetables, along with a side of Chicken Tandoori. We also got the butter chicken and garlic naan. Let's just say both of us licked our plates clean! 10/10 best Indian food I've had since my favorite one all those years ago closed its doors. I will be recommending this place to everyone and will definitely be returning again for more myself. Great food! read more
