I prefer Tan LA over the other tanning place I recently went to in Ventura. The front desk gal was pretty genuine and helped me pick out a lotion since it was my first time. I don't think I will try out another tanning salon again. I rather go to this place since it felt welcoming to newcomers. I like when people explain all the sun bed options, the lotion they recommend, and let me know I can turn off the machine whenever I felt ready to be done. They offered more tanning bed options than the other place. The rooms feel more private as in I could not hear any conversations going on in the other rooms. read more

This is FAR the BEST ever Salon. I say Salon as it is not just the best tanning place, but also offer a whole bunch more stuff you can't explore. How bout a cryo facial, or a full cryo body experience. Also they are all pros at this Salon. Jon, and everyone who works there are some of the most fun and pleasant people to be around. They go out of their way to welcome you as you enter and are always able to get me a spot. Which is so convenient considering how busy they are. By far the best tanning salon I have ever been too. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and always goes beyond above and beyond. The facility is always very clean. The style is modern and their equipment is tiptop. They have the best beds and red light machines on the market and I've always been impressed with the quality. Also, they do what other salons don't. They provide a beautiful waffle robe in each room so it feels more like a spa than a tanning salon. They also provide goggles, extra towels, and even spray deodorant so you don't have to bring your own. I have never seen that before and boy do I appreciate it. I struggle to be consistent with self-care and having a place that has so many options and feels so classy really helps me come more often. Like I said the best salon I've ever been to and I've had memberships at 5 salons over 16 years including working at one in my 20s and this salon tops them all. I've never gotten a spray tan or been to a tanning salon in my life. But as I'm getting married at the end of the month, my long term tennis tan lines need fixing!! I saw the high reviews and decided to go here. I met John and immediately told him I have no clue what I'm doing but what my situation was. He explained the different tanning options, the levels, the prices, and when I asked what he suggested for me he told me exactly what he thought I should do. I even was going to pay for something that was more expensive and after hearing how many sessions I could squeeze in, he suggested a cheaper option that was still enough sessions that I wanted!! Great place with great friendly customer service. Very clean. They offer so many more services other than tanning. I'm pale and don't tan, but I like their red light therapy services for weight management. I used it years ago and loved it, and recently started it again and I kid you not, it makes a difference. I have a number of injuries that made me depressed and sedentary, especially during this pandemic, so I gained some weight which made me feel even more down. The red light service is a great aid in kick starting my recovery journey back to better health and body composition, in combination with exercise of course. I'm always greeted warmly by each staff member I encounter and they're always working hard. They keep the place very clean and tidy. I found Tan La on Yelp. It's been a while since I last got spray tanned so I was hesitant on having someone new spray me since my girl that usually does it lives in Vegas. I emailed about prices and they got back to me right away. All the reviews were great so I was confident I chose the right place. I scheduled my appointment for a Friday at 7pm. I came a bit early and then right at 7, Shannon took me in. She gave me specific directions. As she sprayed me, she gave me tips on aftercare so that the tan would last longer. It turned out great! I've attached a pic which is two days after the spray. My only suggestion: If Tan LA could provide disposable hair caps, that would be really awesome! Next time I need a spray, I shall be back.
