l initially joined in Fargo ND and was assured l could tan at locations all across the nation. My first attempt to tan in Corona CA saw me wait for 45 minutes to verify my membership. when l returned 24 hrs later, @ 19:10, l was denied service after being instructed that the (2) patrons in front of me would be the last customers for the evening ... l left the facility and immediately and called and cancelled the membership. l have since been charged $272.87 ... l'm thinking legal action is the only means by which to suspend service. I originally just wanted a few tanning sessions, but the staff pushed me into a more expensive membership because it was "on sale." While signing up, I was told I could simply switch to a cheaper membership later to maintain my tan. When I tried to cancel within 16 days, they told me I still had to pay for the next month and could only cancel after that. This directly contradicts their own website, which states that memberships canceled within the first 30 days are guaranteed for a refund. I wasn't even asking for a refund ,I just didn't want to continue the membership. Staff experience was very inconsistent. About half were kind and professional, while the others were rude, dismissive, and made me dread coming in. The environment felt uncomfortable and unprofessional overall. I've since spoken to multiple dance friends and learned this is apparently their reputation, which says a lot. They also pressure customers to leave reviews before even getting a tan, which feels misleading and dishonest. So most good reviews aren't even sincere. They do not allow appointments. You'll literally stand in line for 10 mins while the one person working signs someone up. It's ridiculous. Miss cocoa beach terribly! The packages are also too complex and annoying. You have to keep your credit card on file. Just not a very user friendly business. read more

Had a issue with company's loss of a bed that I used, they reached out to me to solve with a very accommodating resolution. This tanning salon is unbelievable. First to start a membership, it's $25 on top of your monthly fee. After membership purchase they only let me go half time which is nothing. I tried to go the following day to tan again and the rude staff, same rude guy that was there the day before said I couldn't tan for two more hours since it hasn't been 24 hours. Wish I would have looked at their reviews prior to purchase. As a business owner in the area I would never run my business like this nor have such a rude staff to greet you. read more

This is the third location I've been to. I love West Hollywood and Venice, however this location needs a little retraining. I went in for a mystic and the customer ahead of me booked a bed plus mystic. I waited patiently for my turn. I used the bathroom while waiting 45 minutes. While passing by the room I saw that it was empty. During that 45 minute wait two other customers wanted to use the mystic bed but left because they didn't want to wait. My issue is the associate who booked the mystic room let it sit there empty while the customer used the bed for max time. I could've easily got in my two minute spray, as well as the next two customers THEN the first customer who booked the cocktail would have her turn in the mystic. I don't understand the need to have me wait 45 minutes for an empty room and to lose business from other customers because of it. read more

Don't waste your money spray tanning here!!! For the almost $60 cost you can find an airbrush, buy the St. Tropez (my personal favorite) at home kit and get multiple uses, or go literally anywhere else. My spray tan is laughably uneven, even after listening to the machine's directions. Unfortunately, I was traveling and figured based on my prior use of spray tan machines at other franchises this would be a safe bet....I was very wrong. The machine was terrible. I've used other spray tan machines before and have never experienced such an uneven tan. Even applying on my own would have yielded WAY better results . Man, I wanted to like this place. New customers only get half the time for the same price, the bulbs are out and the beds are like from the 1980s. Don't want to work with new clients. Felt more like an inconvenience. Didn't even show me how to use the bed. I remember paying for the most expensive bed there years ago and got no results either. When I told them their bulbs were broken, they thanked me for letting them know. That's it lol. What a waste of $30 for 7 minutes in an old broken bed. I would have been a great client. Too bad. long time member at coco beach - the changes have been something to get used too since palm beach bought the salon. the no appointment policy is something i don't understand. there are times when 4 people are waiting for one bed and no one is happy. i did call the corporate office and they said they do not do appointments because when people don't show it upsets people. give people a 4-5 min window if they are not there fill the bed with a walk in. i've waited for almost an hour one day to get into the bed i pay extra for. the girls are all very sweet and helpful but it has to be extremely hard on them to have 4 people sitting and waiting. hopefully palm beach will start taking appointments soon. read more

I no longer want to continue with the tanning service. From day one, this place had very inexperienced people and misinformation.  Especially, your staff today was very rude.  There were two girls working at the front desk. Upon exiting, one staff told me "Have a good day sunshine" (sarcastically), and the other female staff which I heard was laughing really hard when I exited the door. Wow just wow! It appeared it was a retaliation against me when I complained about a situation where I couldn't bring my daughter along with me last week.  I guess she felt I was too expressive. Don't waist your money with a company that doesn't care enough to hear feedback from their paying customers. The location staff will not give you a corporate office phone number and if you do the leg work and find the corporate office phone number on Google you'll discover that it's impossible to get in touch with a human to express your concerns. It's truly a disgusting way to do business and gives you an insight into Palm Beach Tan corporate, there philosophy and the disregard for their paying customers. We need to stand up and just say no to companies that treat their customers as ATM machines. read more

Helpful when needed! 4 star: When reaching out to corporate via app, website or email, they are USUALLY prompt in responding, however, with these new crappy Covid hours, they seem backed up. When they do reply, they make it right and are also always friendly. 3 star: Tanning beds aren't always the cleanest, I wipe mine before entering every time, as I dont like to lay on someone's crusted, streaked lotion, nor do I want to complain about it. Persephone and Justin really make this store great. They always great me with a smile. Whenever I buy a lotion they hook it up. Their beds get me nice and dark and when I spray they color match me perfectly. I spray typically once a week and bed tan three times a week. I'm a diamond member, so I can also go to any other location I want. I go usually to Brentwood, WestHollywood, or LasVegas. If you decide to go, call ahead and they can give you $20 off your first month. Persephone always remembers my name and I'll sometimes talk to her about stuff. I decided I wanted to sign up for ONE month of tanning so I came to this tanning salon. They do not let you tan for one month, they tell you you have to buy a 2 month membership at MINIMUM and it's 124.99 per month with a 20.00 sign up fee as well for the diamond membership. The diamond membership allows you to tan in any of the beds. That membership is all fine and dandy but whatever happened to just going into a tanning salon and getting a two week plan or a one month plan? This place is kind of a joke when it comes down to that. This place is not very clean and the floor in there will turn your feet black and other peoples hair will stick to the bottom of your feet. There is always finger prints and visible dirty marks on the beds where the young employees have failed to clean the beds properly. It makes my skin crawl that I lay down on a tanning bed that isn't cleaned properly and to top it off you can smell this "wet towel mildew" smell from the disgusting towel they use to clean the beds. I have noticed they do NOT get a new towel every time they go room to room to clean the beds. They use the same smelly, sweat soaked towel to go room to room and sloppily wipe down the beds. I know you all know that dirty, musty, mildew towel smell I'm talking about. Finally when I asked to cancel my membership so that I don't get auto billed anymore the girl at the front went from smiling to Her entire attitude and face changing when I asked to cancel any further auto payments from my card. No stars at all for this business. I left there today humiliated and in tears. I understand the business not being open due to COVID-19 and I understand that I would have to wait for a bed. But First thing the manager there, Justin is very rude and very condescending when speaking not only to me but with other customers I've seen this before but today was the worst. I received an email saying $10 for a spray tan on Mondays so I go in there today to get a tan and was told that I would need. to wait 25 minutes because I wasn't at the 24 hour mark from my last tan. That was completely fine. I told him I would spray tan first and then I could tan after. So then he charges me almost $30 actually I believe it was $37 because I was going to buy a bottle of lotion and use my $25 coupon I got for signing up for $89 a month. I can't even use Bed number three for $89 a month. I asked him why he was charging me $37 when it said the spray tan was only $10 he said because "when I asked you if you wanted the dark you said yes" I told him "you didn't tell me you were going to charge me extra for that." Then he told me he doesn't think I understand anything. I asked him to cancel my membership and he said well you're gonna have to pay for another month. I wasn't aware of that either. So if I wanna cancel my membership I have to be humiliated for another month in order to get my moneys worth. He made it sound like I was complaining about waiting and talking to me in a very rude tone and it was embarrassing because the lobby was full of people. I left after I asked for the phone number for the regional manager. He abruptly turned around and started reading off a phone number to me very fast as if I was standing there with a pen and pencil in my hand. At that point I was so humiliated all I could do was turn around and leave after I asked him nicely to please write it down on a piece of paper which he did very hastily. How can you treat people like that? Then when I did call the regional manager I got a voicemail saying somebody would get back to me within 24 hours.
