Unless you walk up the hill directly from the back entrance of the train station, chances are you wouldn't know it's there. However, as its been running for years I always see the same regular faces which shows they have a good clientele base. There are 5 stand up sunbeds available, and I think there is a lay down one too but I've never used that one. I have to admit, these are not the strongest sunbeds I've ever been on but I think if you're a first time tanner or a regular user then this salon would be a good place to build a gradual tan. Before you go in the sunbed, on your left you'll find a range of face cleaning products, hair bobbles (one for the girls) and some goggles. They also sell a range of tanning creams which will prolong your tan so definitely worth asking about these if you pop in. The girl on the front desk always smiles and says hello even when I'm just walking by to go to work.

They are knowledgeable about the products, and always upsell where possible without being pushy. They do stand up, and lie down tanning beds as well as spray tanning here. I always opt for the spray tan, as I'm very consious that using sun beds would probably play havoc with my ultra sensitive skin! I would recommend the Mystic tan which can be sprayed in a range of shades. This is an automatic spray booth that you step into, is very easy to use and has voice activated instructions. The ladies are always on hand if you have any questions, and explain everything very clearly if you are unsure what to do. The tanning shop is in a great location, behind the back entrance of New Street train station and therefore is right in the city centre. They also have offers available on a regular basis. They always have booking slots available for a time that is convenient to me, and there is a good footfall of customers throughout the time I am there. All in all, if you are looking for a sun kissed look I would pay this shop a visit!

Of course, the prices do reflect this, but not too steeply, which is great. They are quite ahead of their time with various treatments as well, which makes you feel like they really are experts in their field. I feel it's time I talked about bikini waxing. Here, it's quite an art form. They even have a little chart that you can look at to see what you want, and all styles have names. I suppose some haircuts have names (the 'bob', the 'pageboy, the 'Rachel') so why not hair in, ahem, other places? They also have Peron Rigot Comfort Hot Wax, which reduces the pain of normal wax. I've avoided colouring my hair because I've found that hair stylists treat you generically during the consultation. Kai Ko's was different. When I went for the test patch, my stylist took her time work out the exact shade I wanted and showed how it would look in my hair. Colouring is a lengthy process but you're made to feel welcome. I was asked numerous times if I needed another magazine or hot drink. When styling the hair, I was given a fabulously glamourous finish that suited my hair and face. I left the salon feeling a million dollars and couldn't believe I got the treatment for such a reasonable promotional price.
