My first time to enjoy the very simple food at Tammy's Kitchen. A very personalized place to enjoy a very basic breakfast, cuppa coffee, and conversation. I had their eggs, hashbrowns, and toast, and it was cooked perfectly. A very simple breakfast menu, but if you're just looking for an easy place to catch up with a friend, Tammy's is the place. Sign on the door says groups of four only, which they have only three tables of four in the dining area. The rest is diner countertop for about eight people. No special pictures on the wall or decorations, just Tammy and her chef making sure you have a good meal and experience. Simple, budget, friendly, and worth the visit. It will now be one of my personal home in the Wall places to meet up with friends. read more

It's exactly what I thought it would be; a conventional American hash house. It's basically no fills breakfast for guys that work rough jobs in the area. The place was clean. The presentation was excellent. The price was about what I thought I'd pay. I think it would help if they had a menu that was a little clearer, but other than that no complaints. I'm writing this from the bathroom between bouts of vomiting at 12:19 on a Thursday, after what appears to be a case of food poisoning from breakfast at Tammy's Kitchen in North Tonawanda this morning. I've since contacted others who ate there at the same time, and they're experiencing the same severe illness. When I ate my meal, I noticed the food, particularly the meat... tasted off, as if it had spoiled but was still prepared and served. I chose to trust that an owner-operated establishment would uphold a higher standard of integrity, honoring the basic covenant between merchant and customer. Unfortunately, that trust seems misplaced. My body, and the others who shared that meal are now paying the price for that misplaced confidence. Authorities have been notified. read more

Great prices! 3 of us ate for 17 bucks. This place is a little hole in the wall. No menus just a board in the front telling you what they have for the day. No frills, not the cleanest and decent to below average food. The owner seems to be the only one working and is not friendly or customer service oriented. They only take cash and the posted sign is no parties larger than 4 people allowed. Tammy handles the Silverware without gloves (touching the heads of the spoons and forks). The ketchup bottle on our table was disgusting and grimy. They only have a small menu board behind the counter and no table menus. No item descriptions either, just the item listed. I got the breakfast combo which was a omelet with cheese and toast and coffee with a sausage link for $6.50. Great price but bland egg and cheese omelet, sausage was horribly salty. The toast and coffee were good though. Tammy never checked on us during our meal and I had to get up and find her to ask for a coffee refill which she seemed very unhappy that I wanted a refill. Food was overall edible but thats about it. Service was more humorous than anything and the place seems run down, outdated, and dreary. I can't imagine eating here regularly when there are so many other great options in the area. Tammy does not seem to enjoy what she does. read more

Decided to try this tiny little diner.... Drove right by the first time...definitely not fancy, but excellent food, good portions, great prices. $5.00 for 2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns and toast. Also ordered the chocolate chip pancakes just as a treat, which were very tasty and filling. Be aware, it's cash only and no parties larger than six LOL. I have been coming here for about 15 years. This is by far the best hidden gem in the Tonawandas. If she doesnt make you feel welcome its because youre rude. The food is perfectly and consistently cooked EVERYTIME without any disappointment. I have brought many people here that turned into regulars and can count on one hand the people i know that dont like the place. If youre looking for service with a fake smile go to a fair but if you want great food cooked consistent everytime at more than reasonable prices this is the place. The stove top is by far the cleanest stove i have ever seen and ive worked in kitchens. Their rating from the health inspector is always WITHOUT flaw. Drinks are served in can and are about room temperature, Tammy doesn't make you feel invited or that she wants you there in the first place, homefries are frozen store bought garbage potatoes that they put too much garlic salt on. This tiny little unassuming brick building on Oliver Street proves that looks can be deceiving. The restaurant is run by a couple; He cooks, she waits tables. It is a simple little establishment with basic decor. A charming addition is that of a small TV atop a refrigerator behind the counter which is normally showing the news or classic TV shows. At the counter are normally blue collar working folks enjoying a cup of coffee. It is a classic diner. The food is basic American fare, well made and not greasy. For breakfast you can get bacon, eggs, homefries and toast in generous portions for $4 Great place to go for breakfast or lunch if you are looking for an inexpensive home cooked meal. Very disappointed all around. I believe our server was the owner and was extremely rude and seemed to be annoyed with us as soon as we walked in the door. I asked for some lemon for my tea and she laughed at me and said "We don't do that here" not sure what she meant by that. Food wasn't cooked properly and tasted like it had been cooked on an extremely greasy flattop that hadn't been cleaned in a while. Hope you have better luck than us. read more

Omlette was tasty however the potatoes were not, could taste they were frozen bagged potatoes and they were freezer burned... the water which came out o f the fridge was Luke warm and the service was terrible... which is really bad considering we were the only ppl in the place! We've been going to Tammy's for years now, the food and prices were always good. As for the service, Tammy has always been a little on the miserable side, but we are used to it and since we've been going there for years she's been better with us. Well today we went there with a few family members. Boy oh boy, was she in a mood today. Everything she did and said was rude and nasty. My mother had tea, drank it and wanted a cup of coffee next, so Tammy yells across the room "you had tea first, now you want coffee!?!" In a very nasty tone. If we asked for anything, she got very irritated and stormed off to get it, half the time never coming back with it. After we were done she brought the check, my sister not knowing they didn't take credit cards tried to pay for it (had I seen her I would've warned her), she handed Tammy her credit card and she said "we don't take credit" with a nasty snarl and walked away in disgust. She then stormed back to the cook and was talking about us loudly to him. We will never go back, miserable I can take sometimes, but out right nasty I just can't condone, I don't care how reasonable the prices are. Unreal... read more

The atmosphere was so unwelcoming, barley any decorations on the wall, I felt like I was sitting in a firehall breakfast fundraiser rather than a restaurant. Nastiest waitress ever. After 5 minutes didnt say anything to us, walked into the kitchen and yelled "some people just cant read the signs!" Figuring she meant us, I found 1 sign behind the counter that says parties bigger than 6 need a reservation. We had 8 and the place was empty besides 3 others. She then came out and in the nastiest tone said she doesnt serve big parties, she is all alone, and cant keep up with all the orders. We left. Maybe if we sat 4 and 4 it wouldve made it miraculously possible to serve us. Will NEVER go back, and wouldnt suggest anyone try and reason with the unpleasant lady. read more
