She was polite, she did good work, reasonably priced and delivered a finished product that I was satisfied with. I dropped off two uniform tops to her, and she was an open ear for me to explain what I wanted done. She paid attention to what I requested, explained what she would do and asked important questions relevant to how I'd want things accomplished. She even made time to do a quick fitting without an appointment. A few weeks later (at my own request, I wasn't in a hurry) she churned out a pair of great fitting pieces. What was the perfect touch for me, was that before starting on my clothes, she took the time to call and clarify a small question she had, and even double check before starting. That little touch of proactive customer service really went a long way. I'll recommend Eva to any of my friends or coworkers for alternation work in the area. But I've taken many things to her and found that a $10 hem on my pants, $20 to have them taken in, or $5 to have a repair done makes a world of difference in the use and enjoyment I get out of my clothing. It's money well spent. (Those figures are just estimates based on my clothing of course...but she is always glad to give you an estimate based on what you bring her). You must make an appointment to have things fitted. However, she is flexible and accommodating. For example, I have experience in a clothing store and am comfortable pinning my own clothing myself for alterations. On a few occasions when I've been in a time crunch, I have gone that route instead. I've brought her my pinned up clothing, and she's done the rest. I'm going to try and get everything I need altered in my closet done by Evelyn before I move, because I know it will be more expensive somewhere else!
