I learned the core elements of CBT and DBT, also how to understand, process my childhood trauma and to manage my depression and anxiety. The Core Group Therapy sessions and Men's Group sessions gave me important development to recognize and cope with emotions. This development and semiweekly and weekly one on one therapy sessions with Dr. Lee Larimer truly achieved dramatic benefits. I continue to attend Dr. Schwartz's biweekly alumni sessions, as well as psychiatric appointments at CHOMP Behavioral Health as needed. Most recently, after 18 months on the waiting list, I have a personal therapist at CHOMP. All of the HPM staff made me feel welcome. They communicated their roles well and executed flawlessly. My professionals, therapists and their aides were excellent, deserving of recognition for excellance all, but particularly Mana Godbole, Lee Larimer, Megan Williams and Mark Schwartz. Harmony Place Monterey made me feel safe, a huge accomplishment. They gave me an excellent opportunity to learn, grow and heal. It's been 6 months since that 10 weeks of intensive therapy and I'm doing very well, incredibly well. I no longer take psychiatric medication and I am making constant strides to create healthy social relationships. My depression and anxiety are well under control and getting better and better. I can understand how my experience may sound magical, but that's how it feels. I've worked very hard for this for many decades. Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, last fall, I did not…read more I found much of the staff, specifically the owners, to appear distant, disinterested, and lacked awareness. While many of us are emotional when we enter the space, I found it rather sad that I had no introduction the first day. I had no idea who anyone was. There was not even eye contact from the front desk when I came in lost on the first day. Perhaps two of the team members properly greeted me which was lovely. But I quickly learned that the welcomes and departures are seldom celebrated in this program. Some of the staff were not equip to deal with confrontation. If you are working with a vulnerable, emotional, and recovering populations, I expect better accountability, deescalation, guidance, and resolution. Shying away from uncomfortable, but important topics like racism and a*sault need to be addressed appropriately and thoughtfully. I'm not expecting perfection! I think I wanted a warmer, kinder environment where the team was attentive and caring. I hated feeling like another statistic running through their program. It was a wonderful group of participants at the time, but the faculty single-handedly made clear that Harmony Place would be the opposite place for healing. One last note is that the entire Harmony Place Monterey lacks diversity in staff. I think this was a large con as well. Hoping there are improvements and wonderful experiences for future groups!

Dear Yelp readers,…read more If you're looking for higher conciousness information regarding parenting or relationships, you're in the right place. I came to Dr Arayeh struggling with parenting one 6 year old son, and a poor relationship with his father. Needs were unmet, proper communication was lacking and we were all in a regular cycle of abusive words and thoughts. Throughout 6 sessions of 1 hour, valuable information regarding the fight flight brain, childrens needs, concious communication, mindful breathing, Pause method and stages of change, were shared via the phone videos and texts. All very important information to help love and nurture children (all humans really) and helped my sons dad and I see and tend to our child in more supportive ways. I'd absolutely reccomend taking sessions to improve parenting/relationships, I tell my friends and family how valuable Dr Arayehs info is and encourage them to invest in themselves. Money and time well spent. Thank you Dr Arayeh, we're all nicer and more loved than before. and when I inevitably go back to my unconscious ways sometimes, I dont stay near as long.

My very first session with Dr. Grant was over the phone and I was taken aback by her level of knowledge and intuition. When I have a session with her, depending on my needs, she will listen; understand; explore, explain and advise; read my chart with great thoroughness; and even do chakra and healing work if it is needed. Yesterday I had a session with Kristen, and I honestly don't think I walked away with "answers" as…read moremuch as I walked away with a completely different relationship to my own life. She has a rare gift of listening beyond the words. Throughout our session, she reflected things back to me in a way that didn't feel performative or scripted--it felt deeply seen. More importantly, she created a space where I could hear myself with greater clarity. One realization alone completely changed something I've been carrying for years. I had spent so much energy trying to forgive my mom, and through our conversation, something shifted. The resentment, the frustration, and even the struggle to forgive simply dissolved into gratitude. It wasn't because my past changed--it was because my perspective did. That kind of shift is hard to put into words, but you know when something deep inside finally relaxes. Whether you're spiritually curious, feeling stuck, standing at a crossroads, or simply longing to understand yourself more deeply, Kristen has a beautiful way of helping you uncover what is already within you. She doesn't tell you who to be--she helps you remember who you are. What touched me just as much as the session itself was Kristen's heart. You can genuinely feel that she wants people to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. Her work isn't just about readings; it's about creating a space where people feel safe enough to transform. If you feel drawn to her, trust that feeling. Sometimes the people we're meant to learn from have a way of finding us exactly when we're ready. Thank you, Kristen, for sharing your gifts so generously. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and genuinely excited about the next chapter of my life. I hope your path continues to bring together a beautiful community of people who are ready to receive what you so lovingly offer--because your gifts deserve to be experienced by those whose hearts are truly ready for them.
