Super easy to find with plenty of parking on a lot. You can eat in your car or there is a covered area with benches to eat. The truck is blue and sits smack dab in the middle of the lot, so you can't miss it. They do take credit cards/apple pay, so that was a plus! Menu was highly extensive with options with tacos and more - and let me get started with the protein options! I had buche and lengua and your classics of al pastor and asada. The tortillas were nicely toasted and the protein portion was more than filling. Love that everything came out hot and fresh and didn't have any issues. I get worried ordering not your usual proteins, especially at a new place. Prices were fair and highly recommend stopping by if you need to get your tacos fix! Staff were super friendly and patience.

The result was chaos: lines overlapping, crowds that were hard to navigate through, and surround-sound noise from generators making it nearly impossible to hear one another. I'm happy to say they've fixed all that. The trucks and booths are spread out now, surrounding the Harbor Center building in a semi-circle. This helps spread out the lines, crowds, and noise. There's a wide variety of food on offer, so there's something for everyone. Prices range from about $7-12 for a meal, which is pretty reasonable. Inside the Harbor Center is live music and craft/goodie booths. It feels slightly disjointed/cut off from the rest of the festival - I didn't even go inside - but I guess there's not much they can do about that. Overall this is a nice Slidell/north shore event. Worth checking out.

Sadly, we are forced to write this review after our attempt to resolve this failed. We ultimately…read moresettled on a small refund from Shon to end the dispute, but only because we were ready to put this issue to rest. We do feel that it is our responsibility to write a review about Shon's catering so that others will make decisions that work best for their organizations. Let me first start off by saying that Shon is an amazing person with a huge heart, and is probably an amazing Chef. I say "probably" because I have no first-hand experience with her Chef leadership of cooking other than the event we just had, and it was not a good experience. We sent out an RFP to many caterers for a cancer survivor fundraising event, stating very clearly that our budget was $35/per person all inclusive. We knew that the number was a low number, but as a non-profit, we are not able to spend an exorbitant amount of our budget on catering. We normally procure food donations from local restaurants and then hire a caterer to manage the food service and guest experience. However, with the economy the way it is, we decided to try a new approach this year of having a caterer handle both the food AND the food service. We had several caterers reply to our RFP and ultimately decided to go with Fusion Eatz by Shon. This was because Shon presented herself professionally, enthusiastically and she said the cause was near and dear to her heart. As we discussed variations to the original proposal (such as an enhanced menu for our VIP experience guests) the budget was adjusted to $40/per person. Leading up to the event, Shon was extremely kind and professional and assured us over and over that she was capable of handling an event that had 500 plus guests. What we experienced were the following: 1/2 of the staff promised to us, no supervisors (including Shon - who promised us she would be on the floor making sure the guests were happy). Long lines, cold food, and TONS and TONS of food thrown away. Customers had to wait over an hour through 1 of 4 buffet lines and were offered small portions. This is why we are extremely disappointed that so much food was thrown out. We have had to field dozens of texts, calls and emails from our customers, including our VIP customers, who had a horrible experience. I would go on and on with the minutia of what went wrong, but the bottom line is that Shon revealed to us that the largest group she had ever catered was 250. Our event was just too big for her. After the event, we asked Shon to give herself a grade of A - F. She gave herself an A-minus / B-plus. It was a disappointment for us to try to figure out how she could come to the conclusion, and the only way that she could was that she was in the kitchen the whole time and was not out on the floor putting out the fires she told us she would personally manage. Our annual gala was truly ruined because of this food experience and had Shon agreed to reimburse for all the food thrown out, as well as help us figure out the horrible PR nightmare that we faced, I would not have written this review. There certainly will be excuses on the behalf of Shon as to the many things that went wrong, including trying to put the blame on us, but had she had the right amount of team members, including the three supervisors that were supposed to be there, none of this would have happened to the extent it did. Again, this is not how we like things to turn out, but in many ways I felt that if a large organization were to reach out, it would probably be best that they either avoid the contract, or be sure there are safeguards and penalties put in place for failure to deliver what was agreed upon.

Look, i'm not real big on leaving reviews for coffee shops. A lot of them are just parts of chains,…read moreand they very inequality from location to location. Well, in the case of this particular coffee shop on Robert Street in Slidell, they were so good it's worthy of mentioning. It's Sirincci Coffee Company, a small chain of boutique coffee shops. My gf and I stopped in randomly while doing an errand on the Northshore (we live in New Orleans about 35 miles away) with no experience or expectations. Even if I had had expectations, they would've blown them away anyway. First, I guess I'll talk about the drinks. Sirincci offers a seasonal specials menu, and it's criminally good. Terrible and guilt inducing in all the best ways. We both ordered from the Fall menu. She had the Cool Front Latte-caramel and cinnamon latte topped with brown butter toffee cheesecake cold foam (yes, you read that right). I had the Pecan Pie Chai-praline chai with rich brown butter toffee. My gf is gluten intolerant, and the barista verified the cheesecake topping was gluten free...whew. Both drinks were prepared quickly but tasted like they had spent hours on them. I rarely use the term "mouthwatering" for beverages, but these qualified. I included a pic of their current fall menu to drool over. Beyond the perfect drinks, the service matched the quality. Our barista taking our order was so patient as we peppered her with questions about their menu, and made great recommendations. The atmosphere in the cafe is super homey and even family friendly. There were a variety of board games and kid friendly seating. I watched a happy little girl getting mercilessly schooled in UNO (reverse, reverse, reverse, take four!), and a father and son playing Battleship. I'm not big on kid-friendly places, but the atmosphere managed to stay quiet and comfortable. We sipped (gulped) our drinks while sitting in a comfy loveseat taking in the place. There are some truly unique Knick Knacks displayed and for sale, including hilarious stickers available at the counter (one pictured). But I've saved the best for last! For those of you not familiar with Sirincci, they have an "Angel program" where you can pre purchase drinks to gift future customers! There is a display on the wall with tags clipped to it with the names of various drinks people have gifted, available to take and redeem by ANYBODY! I purchased a few to gift, grateful for the tangible opportunity to show gratitude for my security. That might be the coolest thing I've ever seen at a commercial business.
