To which i said, "Jeff, we have known each other for 12 years, and you know I don't speak french!!" To which he said, "Stupide américain et votre connaissance myope du langage." I still don't know what he said. Yet, I assume since he considers himself an existentialist, and the way he looked lovingly at his leash, he was telling me one thing. He is in love with his dog walkers. And so am I. I miss my dog everyday. For the last two years he has joined me at work, everyday. This new move has him sitting alone at home. Though, he makes himself busy painting watercolors of his old home in Beaumont-Sur-Mer, or compiling a literary critique of the known works of Franz Kafka. I know he misses me as well. They help incredibly with this. I get daily pictures of their walks, and a log of the route they take. It makes me feel as if I'm right there with them. Without hearing Jeff recite made up Haikus of the various foliage changes during the season. So, I highly recommend Go Go. And in Jeff's words: "Je vis avec une Amérique illettrée qui ne peut pas arrêter de fréquenter la mauvaise femme." I don't even know what that means.

The owner, RoNae, seems to be very pleasant and honest in the initial meeting. My dog likes everyone, so I could not rely on his opinion of the walker's character. After a few visits I noticed my dog seemed antsy, so I started to check my alarm verifications for arrival and departure times. I was paying for a 30 minute walk, but noticed two times it was closer to 9 minutes. My dog and I gave them the benefit of the doubt until it happened again at 11 minutes. RoNae was unable to refund me and just apologized. My worry was for the people that do not have anyway of timing them. My main reason for sharing this is for the animals. I always want the best care for mine and I believe this company is NOT the best option.

Even restaurants give you a 15 minute grace period.... Not this place! They add on things your pet doesn't need for a buck... on top of their ridiculous prices to begin with. Sooo much arrogance. I have never been lectured like I have from this associate doctor about "having to now work me into the schedule" because I was a few minutes late... AND THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE EVEN THERE! (I can't even remember her name she was so non descript) but boy did she have an attitude. Spend your money elsewhere!!!

If clear communication, transparency, and being fully informed about your pet's care are important…read moreto you, I would recommend considering other options. I had a very disappointing experience with this clinic regarding clear pricing and billing and follow-up. They were unable to provide any documentation showing that I approved a service. A note simply stating the test was "not declined" is not the same as informed consent--especially when the test and its cost were not clearly discussed beforehand. It is also concerning that no one contacted me with the results of a full blood panel. Being told "no news is good news" is not an acceptable substitute for actually providing results, particularly for diagnostic testing. In my experience, every other veterinary clinic I have visited has clearly outlined the plan of care, provided an estimate with pricing for approval, and followed up with results--whether normal or abnormal. That standard of communication and transparency was not met here. This situation reflects a lack of clear authorization, pricing transparency, and appropriate follow-up.

That never happened. If they don't even try to impress on a tour makes ya wonder how the dogs are being treated. The girl at the front desk when I asked about getting a tour said I have to book online and was very rude. They seemed understaffed.

I wanted to share an update after my earlier review regarding an incident my dog Ziggy experienced…read morehere during a grooming visit. When I recently had to travel last-minute, I boarded Ziggy at Downtown Dog. Upon pickup, the owner, Gwen, asked to speak with me directly. She was very open and sincere about what had happened previously -- apologizing, explaining the corrective actions taken with staff, and sharing broader improvements coming to DTD. She even covered Ziggy's recent stay, which I greatly appreciated. For me, it's less about the incident itself (I understand accidents can happen) and more about transparency and how quickly a facility acts in the best interest of the dog. Gwen understood that completely and has clearly taken it to heart. I'd encourage anyone who's had a tough experience here to reach out directly -- Gwen and her team do care, and they also give back by supporting local rescue agencies. Downtown Dog really does have a lot of great people behind it, and I'm glad I gave them another shot.

He was hospitalized a total of 3 times with 2 major surgeries due to the severity of his case. My family now has $30,000 in medical debt. When I tried to settle some responsibility with the owner, they admitted fault and that another dog died from the same condition a few years prior. In later conversations their CPS waved their waiver in my face and threatened she could tell me to F off. Then they stopped all communications except to their insurance adjuster, who tried to dismiss their refusal to cooperate as my fault because I was upset my dog died. They took NO responsibility after I trusted them with Yohji for most of his life (7 years). They are also suppressing negative reviews on Google. I have posted further details in the Dallas subreddit, please share my story and I would not trust the owners to care for your family members and take responsibility for any repercussions that may ensue. This is the worst loss I have ever experienced and I miss him everyday. God forbid an emergency happens at DD, because ownership will leave you in the dust.
