Overall a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and the view is nice with all the snow. The floors are incredibly creaky so every single footstep is incredibly loud. The front desk worker was informative but a bit standoffish both on the phone before arrival and when I checked in. It's really close to the local market just a few blocks away. I would definitely come back

We drove from Boise to Sun Valley with an overnight. Hotel staff was very efficient and texted us that our room is ready before regular check in time. Plenty of parking along the side street and back of property. The room was fitted with basic amenities and clean. Location was right in the middle of town and very convenient. We walked to dinner and then again for breakfast.

Proof that the bed is comfy

Our time here was deliciously comfortable and restful. The front staff could not have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating! With a smile every time, they answered our questions and helped when we needed it. The bed in our lovely room was supremely comfy, clean, and luxurious. We had a fireplace room and enjoyed our fires every evening and on our last (snowy) morning. The bathroom and room were both spotless without signs of wear. The pool was warm (perfect for this chilly time of year). The hot tub clean and comfortable (very large!). Personal preferences.... The two things that could have been just a tad different...the coffee in the room is rather weak (maybe pick a new supplier?) And the hot tub temp was a tad low for this time of year (freezing outside....a temp of 102-104 would have been nicer). BUT...to each their own! I just trotted across the road to the coffee shop for my coffee and took a long, hot shower to warm up!

Rooms are okay and the is staff is not helpful. The ONLY good thing about this place is it's location. Wouldn't recommend staying here!

We stayed during ski season and here are the things I was most happy with (in no particular order): * The said it was a continental breakfast so I wasn't expecting all they offered like fresh local bagels and pastries, fresh berries, cut up pineapple, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, a very high quality granola, oatmeal with all the fixings, a pancake machine, juices, coffees with syrups and milks, lots of high quality tea choices, scrabbled eggs allow and with some mix-ins sometimes cheese or veggie, hard boiled eggs, meat like bacon sausage patties or links, sometime or potato like hash brown patties or shedded hash browns, roasted veggies, and on the weekend days they offered salmon with capers and onions. Plus flavored yogurts in individual containers and whole fruit like apples, oranges, and bananas. * humidifiers in the room. The hotel is so dry. We live at elevation in Park City, UT but Ketchum is drier! We ran the humidifier on high constantly but it was so great they offered this in the room. * they have a parking garage. It is $30/day AND there are easy access free spots around the hotel, but I imagine during peak season the offered parking is best. And it's covered so your car will be snow-free! * the heated pool for year round enjoyment (and two hot tubs). The air was too cold for my liking (because you have to get out eventually). * pretty decent gym with peloton bikes. * oh and the restaurant happy hour seems to be a hit with hotel guests and locals. The one huge downside was because it's so dry and they don't have a humidifier installed for the hotel, we got static shocked every time we touched the elevator buttons or unlocking our room. And it hurt! And when you're in town, I recommend the city museum, the wolf museum, the library, and the cemetery. And if the pedestrian paths are snow-free then head down Sun Valley Road.

After he told us what time the bar and kitchen close, we quickly made our decision of what we wanted to order. When he came back he walked right past us and SAT DOWN with two other girls at a table to talk and flirt with them for about 10-15 minute. we decided to go to the bar to order becuase he was chatting away and there was no bartender. the cooks were very nice though. FINALLY he came over to us when we were standing at the bar I told him that we just wanted to order before the kitchen closed, and he awkwardly took our order. When my friend asked if they had decaf coffee, he said they "don't really have that" BOY what do you mean a hotel does not have decaf coffee?! so I ordered what I thought was a rhubarb crip pie. I thought it would be worth it, boy was I WRONG. I can handle bad service but after spending $15 damn dollars on a dessert my ice cream was old, we could taste the crystals and some was a little chewy, in case you don't know that's not how icecream sound taste. and when I looked at my "Freshly made" pie it was literally rhubarb filling with some soggy stuff on top. NOT freshly made, and I couldn't eat it, I was so sad. Also we never got an apology, so that sucked. as Gordon Ramsay would say, " apologies to your customers and shut it down." So limelight, I just want my money back or something because that was an awful experience. - Angry Customer!

When we replied that we were concerned about the housekeeping department not closing the door completely so that it would be locked he said the housekeeping employees had been there for years and that it would not be an problem. Unfortunately, when we returned to our room after sightseeing later during our stay we discovered that housekeeping had not completely closed the door. We were able to enter the room without using our key. This was the second time we found our door was not secured. One employee's response about the door problem was "it's an older hotel"! Our numerous complaints about the door were mostly ignored and not addressed by hotel employees. The severe headaches and breathing problems I experienced only occurred while I was in the room. They began shortly after we were in the room awhile and completely went away after leaving the room. We only used the fireplace a few times for short periods at the beginning of our stay. We discontinued using it because we were afraid it was causing the headaches and breathing problems. There was definitely something in the room causing my headaches. My sister also had issues with her breathing while in the room. Her bed was further away from the fireplace. The manager's response To my complaint was uncaring and inappropriate. Her inference that the headaches and breathing problems were caused by hiking was ridiculous! I do have severe asthma and allergies but did not experience any headaches nor breathing problems while sightseeing (from our car). Hiking was not an option because of recent back and knee procedures. Walking is difficult and that is the reason I requested a room near the elevator when making the reservation. Unfortunately, the room we initially given was at the far end of the hallway. The second room was a few doors closer to the elevator but still quite a long walk for someone with mobility problems. Our complaints about the multiple issues we encountered during our stay were largely ignored. Management was not helpful.

I had waffles I had breakfast potatoes with ketchup and it was really really cute and very very yummy. My sister had cereal And hot chocolate. BEDS: best beds I've ever slept on in hotel very very comfy. I slept right next to the air conditioner. but the only Downside of the bed is that it sometimes gets too cold or too warm. ROOM: the balcony is lovely, even though it was shared., the bathroom was very well decorated. it had a marble counter and it had a bunch of different pot products that you could put on your skin and hair the TV also wasn't very well place. It should've been it should've been in the middle of the room. so both sides of the room could see equally. POOL: there's a pool here and a Hot Tub and it's very very nice but the only thing that isn't good about it is that in the pool it has a bunch of pinecones in it and other unwanted debris Game Room: there is a game room here that has 4 Game ping-pong, air hockey, tic-tac-toe and foosball. And there is way more. There are a lot of board games in the lobby as well. Wi-Fi: was very hard to get to the password and wasn't even really that good anyway. Other things to add: this is the best hotel. I think I have ever been to. I recommend coming to this place if you are a deep sleeper. and are willing to pay a high price. This hotel feels like it's never ending. It's really cool. They are outdoor rooms. There are indoor rooms. It's so big! This is the coolest hotel I've ever been to! (Also try the mints in the front lobby they're very delicious!) Happy Father's Day to all!
