It shows how talented a photographer is when I spent literally months unable to decide on the right photos for my collection of prints because well, there were so many of them! Lauren was incredibly helpful via text and over the phone in choosing which photos would be a good choice since I had a hard time deciding. She also really adored my pet Guinea pig, Snickers who is very photogenic and made him a little star on her Instagram! I will say that I had some anxiety about getting pictures taken with Snickers because I'm not as thin as I would like to be, but Lauren made me very comfortable and we got lots of wonderful prints! In fact, there were so many other photos that I really enjoyed but didn't purchase that I have thought of purchasing more and perhaps making a scrapbook or photo album with the different photos! I have to say that I knew Snickers was cute, but I couldn't tell just how adorable he is until I saw these professional photos! I would definitely use Lauren again, in a heartbeat and I would definitely pass her name onto friends.

After deciding to have a portfolio shot of our pets, I quickly learned there are precious few pet imagery photographers out there. I was glad to find one here on YELP. Lauren's prices are very reasonable. But, cost notwithstanding, she is a truly talented artist with an eye for capturing that perfect moment. The shoot took just about two hours. Lauren worked well with all three of my dogs. She definitely captured their individual personalities while walking around the neighborhood, in the house, and out on the rear deck. It was a beautiful autumn day for the shoot. And, Lauren included the gorgeous scenery into most every shot. I highly recommend Pet Imagery by Lauren Kaplan. I also recommend taking professional pics of your pets while they are still bounding around. You will be glad you did.

Pictures capture important moments in your life. You can certainly find deals online, or clip…read morecoupons for your department store photo studio. You'll save a few bucks, but you'll greatly sacrifice quality. I used to do this by going to Picture People and JCP, but no longer. I would rather have my precious moments beautifully captured, because you can never recreate these moments. In fact, I now regret going to JCP and Picture People in the past, because the quality was not as good, and I can never redo newborn shots with my eldest kid. Like others, we used to go to Picture People. In a way it was good that they closed because it allowed us to find At Home Studios. Ken and Stephanie are absolutely wonderful. A few differences between Ken and your typical portrait studio: 1. At regular studios like JCP or Sears, random people are trained on how to use a camera. It's not their full time profession; it just provides a paycheck. Whereas with At Home Studios, Ken's passion is photography and that is all he has done for most of his life. The passion is evident in the fact that his pictures are far superior to anything you could get in a department store. 2. They treat you like family. At Picture People we had to wait 30-60 minutes, even with a scheduled appointment. And we had to wait another 30-60 minutes just to get our pictures on CD. Not to mention them rushing you through the photo shoot so they could take more customers. It was a dreadful experience, whereas we were welcomed into Ken and Stephanie's home like we were family, and didn't have to wait in a queue. 3. Ken is absolutely wonderful with kids, and very patient. He was patient with us as our newborn needed to feed and also change an outfit. Our toddler wasn't interested in looking at the camera, but Ken took care of that with his humor. Our toddler was still talking about him for days after we left. 4. At the typical portrait studio, they only give you about 8-10 shots, whereas Ken gives you much more (all of the good ones). I was always surprised that Picture People used to take so many pictures during the sessions, but only gave us limited number on CD. 5. If you are going to frame your pics, ask Ken to do it. He will touch it up and it will look much better than doing it yourself at CVS or Walgreens. Ken has more expertise on touching up pics than a traditional studio would. And request the frames that day, or you'll never get around to it. Ken and Stephanie aren't pushy and not after every penny like Picture People used to be; you'll have to ask if you want specific prints. Picture People never used to let you leave until you listened to their sales pitch, which was quite annoying when you've already been waiting around in the store for 2 hours. 6. By the end of the session, I felt as if we were with family. In a world where encountering rude people has unfortunately become normal, it was refreshing to meet some really nice people. 7. US Military dignity: Ken and Stephanie have a military family. Their children serve and have been stationed in various places. Being away from your family and pledging your life for your country requires honor and dignity. It is not just an individual sacrifice, but that of the entire military family. This is highly relevant, because such a high level of dignity means that you won't feel cheated. They will do their best to provide you with what you came for, and won't take shortcuts. Ken and Stephanie's art will be with us for the rest of our lives. It's so much more beautiful than anything else we have gotten from the department stores. We're so happy to have found them.

Easily my favorite photographer!!…read more Christian shot our engagement photos and was awesome to work with. Not only did he lend us a good amount of his day, but he brought with him a good sense of humor and an amazing eye for creativity. We spent a day roaming around Hoboken and Jersey City looking for ideal locations for our shoot. Christian had a few recommendations, and as soon as we got there he just started snapping away. He worked with us on position and expressions. He also recommended bringing a few changes of clothes to capture different styles. Having your picture taken is so personal, but he worked with us to make us feel comfortable. Sometimes he was directing, and other times it was like he wasnt even there. We were so happy with the shots that he got. My fiance is THRILLED! I highly recommend him for engagement or any other types of photos!!

However, we viewedthis as one of those things that just had to be done, but we decided that we would only go for it if our experience was more relaxed and natural that what we had previously seen. Christian Clothier was the man that made it happen. We did not really know what kind of photos we wanted, but we wanted something we would be excited about. As we talked to Christian, he made usfeel at ease as he explained that he would work with us to achieve our desired outcome. For us, one of the things we dreaded was photos that seemed overly staged andunnaturalposes. We wanted amore natural feel. After a relaxed and relatively pose-free photography session, we did not know what kind of photos to expect and we joked that we might have to have do them over. What Christian did for us was farbeyond any of our expectations. His photography of us on that day felt like it told the story of who we were, it was like a narrative, a photo essay. Majority of the photos were in our natural stride(although we had to have those few necessary poses of course!). Our experience with Christian was nothing short of awesome and we certainly are very grateful. The entire experience was stress-freeand we will treasure those photos for the rest of our lives. We certainly plan to continue to use his services in the future and would recommend him highly.

The day of the wedding Devon was a calming force: super relaxed, able to herd my raucous bridal party, and always having an answer to my questions. Every moment of the wedding was captured, from extended family portraits to a quiet moment shared between my husband and I at the reception; yet Devon and her team felt nearly invisible- never pushy, always just capturing the event happening around them. I'm super proud of my wedding pictures, mostly because they capture exactly how I felt on that day- joyous, excited, filled with love for everyone around me. I don't know that anyone but Devon would have been able to capture that feeling. I know I'm still going to be in love with these pictures when I'm old and grey. I can't recommend Devon enough.

Devon was all we could of asked for in a photographer; professional, engaging, and her laid back nature and free form shooting really put our wedding party at ease. My husband was typical of most grooms in that he didn't want to spend hours on end posing for shots; Devon was respectful of that and worked in some amazing photos in the hour and 1/2 before our ceremony started. Devon and her assistant Bonnie were in the background during our ceremony and reception in the best way possible; not at all intrusive to the point that we forgot we were being photographed! In my opinion, that was a great thing!
