There were a lot of people going in and out at lunchtime. So I thought for sure my food would be great there. Upon entrance I was greeted and it was very warm. I saw a lot of people sitting down eating some bountiful plates. The cashier that took my order was very nice nice, mature lady however. When my food was ready, I didn't eat inside the restaurant and maybe that was my mistake. I had a to go order. By the time I opened up my food in the car. I realized everything was burnt. That bread was burnt , burger meat was burned, but the only thing that wasn't burnt where the fries the fries are pretty good and seasoned well. We love the food from Tams. I would actually give them five stars for the food and their service. However, the new policy if you don't ask for condiment, you get none. The most fundamental things you need are napkins. OK I didn't ask for ketchup then don't give me none, but because I did not ask for napkins you're not gonna give me none. I'm sure the price of napkins is included with the price of the burgers and fries. This is very sad and I have heard all of them are doing it now. This is a poor decision by management. everybody including the owner of Tams when you eat something you need napkins at bare minimum we shouldn't have to ask for napkins. So after a long day at the lake, we decided to stop and try this small burger place. 1st and most importantly the staff was nice and very helpful. The place is small but looks like it can accommodate about 40 people for inside dining. So with that in mind we decided to order "to go". Our order started with the Chicken tender combo for our toddler. I have to say our toddler loved the fries and the tenders were really tender and and the chicken was cooked just right. My wife and I, ordered the Bacon avocado cheese burger combos. They were both pretty good, no complaints. Fries were great, not to salty. My wife also got a corn dog and she liked it. Doors dash did nothing to help and when I called the store. The women lied and said the manager isn't there. How can a restaurant at dinner time not have a manager on duty. I have been living in Fontana since late 2016 and recently visited Tam's Burger. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food and service. The burgers are cooked to perfection with a distinct char-broiled flavor that is sure to satisfy any burger lover. The french fries are crispy and delicious, and they taste even better when dipped in thousand island dressing. I also love that they have yellow chilis which added a nice kick to the burger. The restaurant is conveniently located on the corner of Mango and Foothill on the south/west side. They offer a variety of food options including lunch, dinner, breakfast, some Mexican food, and real chicken tenders for kids. Today I just enjoyed a nice breakfast which consisted of a denver omelet, and with that includes toast of your choice as well as hashbrowns. The omelet was amazing, and if I had to guess, it's made of three eggs, possibly four. It was also sprinkled with cheddar cheese. It's worth noting that they accept American Express which is not common among smaller restaurants. The drive-thru option is available but be careful if you have a tall truck as the ceiling of this restaurant is low. Overall, I highly recommend Tam's Burger to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Fontana. read more
