The cold brew came in a can which I wasn't expecting since usually cold brew in on tap in the united states, however it was from a local brewery in central coast, NSW and it was quite good. There is also free wifi and large tables to sit at which is good for getting some work done. The main downside is that it can get quite noisy and there are a lot of kids running around. It's also located inside of a church which is also pretty cool.

Sadly years later my experience was not the same. Although I still liked then venue it seemed like the quality of food had dropped. My coffee was Luke warm at best, surely I'm not the only one who likes mulling over a hot coffee?! And my scrambled eggs were more of a salty thick omelette rather than a fluffy scramble. This was served on dry unbuttered toast, nothing on the side and not even any garnish that may pick up this sad and lonely looking little breakfast. So based on 'I can pay less' for a more appealing breakfast elsewhere I would rate this cafe experience average. I didn't even have the desire to finish it, not even to get my money's worth. I hope this place can do better, I'm all for local business.

The main downsides of this cafe are that there is no free wifi, there are no outlets, and the tables are quite small. So it is difficult to get any work done. However this would be a perfect spot to grab a quick coffee or catch up with some friends.

I for one am an enormous fan of their brownies and an even bigger fan of their highly-addictive spinach, pumpkin and feta muffins (no, seriously, They redefine the concept of a muffin) They also do an amazing pumpkin and quinoa salad that has to be my favourite lunch when I'm in Newcastle. Their iced-chocolates are incredible, but need a different chocolate syrup (Cottees' is too sweet for me.) Basically, a surefire bet for an incredible meal.

I had the eggs on toast, which has a good price I suppose, but is a small portion. Snack size. The coffee was ok. Again probably a nice location for a quick catch up. Things I weren't a fan off was the continual clanging of someone doing dishes next to where you eat. And as a new business I'd have expected staff to actually try to engage the new customers to draw back their business. But not once did anyone say hello or engage me in any way. Was a little strange. My experience was average after having high hopes. Hope this place makes a comeback.
