We had a very small toy poodle, Daisy, which has died from childbirth, and you cannot find a more compassionate and understanding place to care for your animals. Our puppy died because having her puppy was too much for her and they were there for us all throughout the sad process and truly helped us to cope with losing her. Our cat no longer lives with us, as he was my daughter's pet, and he had a problem with crystals in his urine and he received excellent top notch care also! We also have two La. Catahoulas, Cheyenne and Takoda, who have received such great care they are already two years past life expectancy. They too are receiving absolutely top shelf care at HIAH! They are sickly, but we never have to worry they aren't receiving the best care available! Takoda even had heart worms and Dr. Brennan cured her at an old age! Lastly, our toy poodle, Polo, was born with a heart murmur and is also living to a ripe old age which I attribute to the expert care of Daniel Brennan, DVM! We also have SEVEN children and have to watch our pocketbooks, but Dr. Brennan has helped us out so many times with his costs. He cares so deeply for our family, which to us includes our furry friends, that YOU HANDS DOWN CANNOT FIND BETTER CARE FOR YOUR ANIMALS and if that isn't enough, their prices are not astronomical. Best of all, he educates owners on all possible modes of care for your sick pets too. I have no idea who PATRICK B IS BUT I'D LIKE YOU TO KNOW THAT HE IS DEAD WRONG ABOUT DR. BRENNAN AND HONEY ISLAND ANIMAL HOSPITAL! He must be one of those people who wants everything for nothing and unfortunately, there are too many of them in this world! If the hospital is going to stay open and care for pets and their families, they have to charge and HIAH is reasonable. The owner doesn't understand that it's her establishment and was trying to pass the buck to the groomer that she hired. I was eventually reimbursed for grooming fees and vet bills after several weeks of ignoring my calls, unread text messages, and weeks of follow-ups. I had to send a certified demand letter, and the next step was going to court. I guess they were hoping I would just go away and get tired of chasing them. I was not letting up. I fight for what's right. I will not be returning.

I highly recommend getting a Pet Assure membership if you have two or more pets. This is the only vet in the area that accepts it. It costs about $150/year for up to 4 pets, and saves you about 30% on your annual vet bills, and up to 50% on larger expenses like surgeries. I just paid about $130 total for BOTH of my female cats' annual exams and vaccines with my Pet Assure membership. One of my cats is getting a dental extraction done there next week, and if my star rating changes after that, I'll update. If not, I'll leave it unchanged.
