Throughout the build, we had a weekly walkthrough with Nir to check if we had any questions or concerns, which kept communication incredibly clear. Elba was also an excellent project coordinator who was always available to answer our questions and keep everything on track daily. The construction crew themselves were clearly very experienced and knowledgeable; they followed our approved plans meticulously and were happy to accommodate extra requests along the way. I was first referred to Preferred Builders by my tax preparer, Happily, my first repair/remodel turned out wonderfully so I immediately started a remodel on my own home. Scope of work: remove all the carpeting in the house and install laminate plank flooring in those areas. The travertine flooring in the entry, kitchen and hallway had large craters which collected dirt and water residue after washing. I had the floor steamed, the craters filled and the whole floor resealed. I had a gasline installed in the kitchen and a new gas oven installed. I also had a complete bathroom remodel which included removing a huge jacuzzi tub and installing an elegant and safe walk in shower. For the bathroom Nir listened to my concerns and needs and then gave me two 3-D renderings of my options. Elba was fabulous and fast with permits, a purchase list and provided weekly job schedules and updates. I have now completed this remodel and I can't be happier. My Preferred Builders team was pure gold! I highly recommend Nir, Elba and Orel, the Foreman. Orel was caring and his experience was invaluable, Roman, (drywall, moldings, paint, flooring) Carlo (beautiful tile work) and Abnir were all professional, caring and kind. Finally sent a text 8/14 stating "should I expect to see a quote or proceed with another contractor?" Get a text today 8/16, that says "we're booked on a lot of other jobs that are taking all of my attention. At this point it's probably best to go with another company." To say we're pissed is an understatement. As if a kitchen remodel (replacing cabinets not refacing) isn't already a time sucking process there are contractors like Tim/SCV Construction & Remodel that waste peoples time and don't have consideration for others. They may do good work but their communication stinks to the max and I will stear everyone I can away from them and to companies that value client experience regardless of the job dollar amount.

"Oh, I have a ladder in my garage and a measurjng wheel you can use if you like," I offered. Ahh, I think I'm better using my own equipment" he replied. "I'll give you a call early next week to schedule a return visit." That was two weeks ago. Coming to give an estimate without any of the equipment needed to gather pertinent information, then promising a callback and never reaching out again, begs the question: which part of this process is the "best" part? As Winston Churchill once said: "Never, never, never..." again. Don't bother.
