For around $170, the two Just Junk representatives went with me for a tour of the three junk sites, grabbed everything I was getting rid of which included: garbage I wasn't going to get to put out next week; a patio table; plastic and wood shelving; and garden tools and decorations that weren't in good condition. The truck was half full by the time they left. These guys didn't judge, went at it with full force and did their job ... and for a reasonable price. When I made an appointment I detailed the items to be removed from my lower level, including a…read morestacked washer and dryer. The young and seemingly inexperienced men were late, then they went downstairs where I had taken the items out and were therefore easily accessible. Studying the stacked washer/dryer, they proceeded to make a phone call. Then they told me, although with apologies, they couldn't take it, because they didn't have any straps or tools with them???? What???? I told them I had straps and plenty of tools and could assist them if necessary. They proceeded to tell me that their manager told them not to bother...someone could get hurt or the walls could get damaged. Bottom line, they simply didn't want to do the job and it's obvious these guys were inexperienced. I realize it's hard to get good help since COVID but come on! I had to move the items back out of the way until I could have them removed. I booked "Junk Ninjas" the next day. They were $65 cheaper and had no problem removing all the items carefully without hesitation.

After doing 6 utility trailer loads myself I decided it was time for professional help. I called the gang at Capital Junk and talked with Justin who got me all set up for an appointment to send 2 trucks and 2 men to cart it all away. Throughout the process Justin kept me informed and aware of when they were arriving and how long things would take. As we live in the country about an hour drive from Ottawa there was an additional $100 fee per load, which seemed fair given the 2 hour round trip just to get here and back. Paul and Coran arrived at the specified timing and worked like beavers to sort and haul. Despite the fact that it was snowing hard they worked steady and tirelessly. It took them 2 days and 4 truck loads but the results were amazing. Thoughtful, pleasant and respectful, these 2 young men were a credit to their employer and I really enjoyed their wit and conversation which they never used to slack off....they just kept working away through it all. The cost seemed reasonable given the tipping fees, gas and time involved and it was all done swiftly and efficiently. Highly recommend.

Anyhooo....Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Just Junk Ottawa. We had them come by earlier this week and the service was excellent. The gentlemen who came to do our haul away were professional and fast. They were also mindful of our walls, doors and surroundings and didn't damage anything. The price was also very reasonable and considerably lower than 1-800 Got Junk. We were very happy and would recommend this service to everyone.
