Well done, but shady practices The operation seems to run well, easy to use, and nice that I can cash in on scrap metal. What I don't like is that every time I've gone, the payout price is ALWAYS lower than advertised. The excuse of 'fluctuating market prices' can be true, but amazingly always in their favour. The 'mixed metal' rates are over-compensated in their favour - you could hand them something that's clearly 99% gold (for an extreme example), but if it has so much as a tiny metal screw in it, the whole thing becomes about the same worth as all-metal. Their measured weights are also light. For bulk steel, the printout weight was actually lower than the scale readout (now that's brazen!) And for a specific metal type (ex. purely alum cans), I pre-weighed my load (in a large cardboard box) with 2 separate (and accurate) digital scales (both were the same) - CFT's weighed amount was about 4 kilos light, and it's not like the box they were in weighed anywhere close to that! They skim just low enough to make it look like some kind of margin of error. It's dirty and they need to be legally called out on it! read more

i am trying to recycle a car called them, it was so loud over the call and the guy i was talking too really didn't care. truly terrible service. they offer extremely low prices not worth your time to even call. read more

Have a car taking up space in your driveway? Call cash 4 trash and get a quote and they will even arrange to pick it up and pay you cash in hand on the spot. They even have a bin rental service!! Called cash for trash and was told it would take a couple of hours to pick up the car since the driver was en route back to the yard from another pickup. The receptionist was extremely friendly and so was the driver. I received my cash once the car was picked up. A legit and honest business. Best car recycling experience I've had so far. I've scrapped my car with other companies that try to low ball you once they show up with the tow truck. These guys pay well, and pay exactly what they quote. The tow truck driver was very professional, and even went out of his way to help me remove the after market stereo I installed. read more
