Cross threaded my drain plug as well as torqueing it instead of it being hand tight. They also cost way too much for a standard oil change.

On the way to South Padre, my car started overheating. We got my car towed to Atascosa Automotive…read more Luis told my husband he was a retired electrician and he opened the automotive shop. We left our car with Luis at Atascosa Automotive during our vacay. He called us with a price of $1,300.00 to fix my Nissan Murano. The waterpump needed to be replaced and he said he was going to fix the tension pully as well. He called me on Friday morning when he had had it for over a week and said that the car was almost ready and it was going to be 1489.00 I told him that was not what we had agreed upon and he said that it was the taxes. I told him that was not right and he needed to honor the original price of $1,300.00. He said he would and I offered to pay him $1,350.00 so we could meet in the middle. We picked up my car and drove if from Pleasanton to San Antonio. The temperature was fine until the next day I was driving my car and it started to heat up. I called Luis the next day and informed him about the car and he asked me to take the car to him. After using the car for a couple of days, I was having to put water in my car twice a day. I parked the car and realized I would be able to drive it from San Antonio to Pleasanton. I called Luis back and told him the car wouldn't make it and I asked him what we should do. He said he was going to email the owners and see if he could help me. I asked him who the owners were and he told me he didn't feel comfortable sharing that information with me. I asked him to reimburse me $1,350.00 to take it somewhere else and he told me that from past experiences that the "owners" would not do that. I reminded him that he had told my husband he was the owner the first day that the car arrived to his shop and the website says he is the owner. After he lied to me about that, I didn't feel comfortable with him having my car. I asked him to send a tow truck to pick up the car and he said he would do that, but if it was something else other than the water pump, he would have to charge me to do the labor and I would be responsible to pay him back for the tow truck. I did take my car somewhere else and they fixed the water pump. When they removed the water pump from my car, there was evident grinding coming from the water pump. If Luis had indeed removed and replaced the water pump, the part would not sound like that. He also said he "threw" in an oil change, but the filter from the last time my husband changed the oil, it was still the same filter that my husband had put in. Luis also told me the "owners" had several shops in and around Texas. He told me he was going to send me a few locations to send my car to and he never sent me these supposed locations. Bottom line, he is a thief and a liar. Do not take your car here. Do not trust this man. Side note: The temperature on my car has not risen above the halfway mark since the mechanic here in San Antonio replaced it. It's back to normal and I've reached out to Luis for a reimbursement.

After searching the internet for hours and hours looking for just the right truck at just the right…read moreprice, I found such a truck in the inventory at Pursch Motors in Pleasanton Texas. I called the dealer and spoke with Rudy. When I told Rudy I was an out of state buyer, he gave me a word salad indicating that his dealership sometimes does not sell to out of state buyers and that he would have to check with upper management. After waiting several hours that day, I looked at the dealer's reviews on Yelp and Google. I was astonished at what I saw. Other prospective buyers from out of state wrote that they were turned down and it was a no sale. At this point, I resumed my search and found another GMC truck that checked all of the boxes at Classic Buick GMC in Arlington Virginia 300 miles to the north of Pleasanton Texas. The next day, I called Classic Buick GMC and a half hour later, we made a deal and I must admit, it was a killer deal at that. Later that day, Rudy called me to say that his dealership was still trying to figure out if they wanted to sell to me! I explained to him that he was "A day late and a dollar short". My advice to out of state buyers is do not waste your time with Pursch Motors. It is bewildering to know that Pursch is turning away buyers because they are from out of state. Trust me, this is no way to run a business.

I have gone to Seymour's for 20+ years anytime I had a vehicle issue. Never went back to them with…read morethe same issue. They always took great care of me. Luckily I have been fortunate with no issues but we had a diagnosis for a large job on another vehicle that I wanted a second opinion on because I had a gut feeling. Lo and behold. Seymour's found the root of the cause and fix that which ended up saving me a ton of money. I will forever be grateful to them and will always lean on them when I am in need for vehicle help. Seymour's rocks. My mechanic shop is better than yours!!!

1 STAR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more I trusted Seymour's Garage with my primary work truck for an engine rebuild that cost me $9,677.11. What followed has been one of the most stressful and unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a repair shop. Within weeks of picking up the truck, it began losing oil at an alarming rate. I had to return it, where they admitted an oil leak related to their rebuild--but still charged me for oil. The problem never stopped. The engine was clearly defective from the start. On December 17, the truck broke down again in Austin and had to be towed back to San Antonio. After another mechanic advised there was a serious internal engine failure, Seymour's took the truck back on December 19, repeatedly telling me for weeks that this was being handled under warranty and that I needed to "be patient." After months of assurances, I was suddenly told the warranty would not be honored and that I would need to buy a completely new engine. No explanation. No documentation. Just a reversal of everything they had told me. During my most recent phone call with Matthew, the situation turned outright hostile. He became aggressive, told me to "come and get your f**ing truck,"* and then hung up on me. At the same time, he threatened to leave my truck outside on the street, even though it is not operable and is still in their possession. As of today, they still have my truck. Because of Seymour's Garage, I've suffered: Nearly $10,000 lost on a failed engine rebuild Loss of my work vehicle Towing costs Rental vehicle expenses Property damage from oil leaks Business interruption and lost income Extreme stress caused by false assurances and abusive conduct This shop took my money, failed to stand behind their work, misled me about warranty coverage, and then responded with threats and profanity instead of accountability. If you value your vehicle, your livelihood, or basic professional treatment--do not bring it to Seymour's Garage.
