I visited the Take 5 Oil Change Shop at 901-41st Ave in Moline IL. The service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. Particularly Seth, Kevin and Libby. I suspected some kind of oil spill when Libby came out from under the car with oil all over the front of her. Other than poor Libby getting covered with oil there was no harm no foul. Aside from a slight smell of fresh oil my garage floor is dry of oil today. So if there was a spill the cleanup was sufficient. They all did an excellent job. Take 5 is a bit pricier than dealers. But it's all in what you want. As for myself it's all about the convenience. 15-20 minutes in and out, not even getting out of car for service. It beats making appointments and having to leave the car for a day at the dealer and getting rides to and from the pick it up. read more

DO NOT go to ANY Take 5 in the Quad Cities area or elsewhere for that matter! The one on 23rd Avenue in Moline, IL stripped out the plug in my oil pan! Store Manager & Regional Manager BOTH said it would be taken care of, either rethreaded or the oil pan replaced. Now I hear from a Claim Rep that I can't prove they did it & they won't fix it! In the meantime, my car is losing oil & I am unemployed b/c I have been caring for my Mom for the last few years & she has passed away! Thanks for Nothing Take 5! read more

This place took advantage of my 16 yr old son taking his car to get an oil change for the first time. $106 later the oil is changed. The Jeep does not require special oil, that they sold him, it takes 5 quarts yet they charged him for 6. He instructed them he want a basic oil change. I have never paid $100 for an oil change. In fact, today I had to have an oil cooler replaced on the same Jeep. It required new oil, $29.98. I get trying to up sell, but this is outrageous. Update 11/18/21 after contacting the corporate office they were apologetic and offered to refund 100%. I suggested 50% because a service was provided. They said the tech needs to clearly communicate the services being sold and the options. All good read more

I took my car here to get an oil change and they removed the entire mud shroud from under my car to access the oil plug and filter. Then, when they went to put it back on, they couldn't figure out how to get on properly so they used zip ties to reattach it. The zip ties eventually broke while I was going down the highway and the shroud came off and dragged on the ground. Also, when they removed the air filter to try to upsell me, they didn't put it back on properly and it caused the check engine light to come on because there was too much air getting into the carburetor. read more

I went to take 5 Oil Change; they changed the oil and didn't properly tighten the oil drain plug and then didn't reinsert the dip stick properly. While driving the next day on the interstate my oil pressure skyrocketed and all the oil gauges started alarming. I pulled over at a nearby gas station and found that oil had blown everywhere in the engine compartment and oil was leaking underneath the truck. In the gas station parking lot, I got under the vehicle and properly tightened the drain plug, purchased oil to fill the engine, and properly installed the dip stick. At the next town I had a ford dealer look over the engine and properly perform an oil change. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE INCOMPETENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

If I could give a -1 star I would...I took my 1988 Lincoln Towncar in for a oil change and the OVER filled my car with oil by 21/2 quarts of old cause my motor to shut down i had to have my car towed home and pay someone to figure out why my car wouldn't turn over after changing the plug and fighting to get my car started I call take 5 to let them know what happened they told me I should have called to have them towe it they sent an investigator out to see my car and yesterday I get a email from their corporate office telling me that my claim was denied because I didn't have them towe my car they also stated that they viewEd the tape and saw no fault read more

Stopped in at 6:48 and was told they wouldn't give me an oil change, they were getting ready to close. If you have hours of operation until 7, you really need to honor that for your customers. If you are only open until 6:45, just reflect that in your hours you have posted. Since you promote that you offer a 10 minute oil change, you would have had me in and out before 7. read more

Stopped in today for an oil change on my company truck. They informed me of a major oil leak and instead of changing my oil they topped it off for FREE.
