On July 30th, I went in for an oil change and it was performed by Thomas, who mentioned that the car needed extra oil. Unfortunately, he ended up putting too much oil in my car. When I drove out of town, it caused internal and external damage to my turbo engine. I filed a claim, and it has been 2 months now, but they are still deciding whether they are at fault or not. My car was towed to Meineke, and the diagnostic confirmed that there was indeed too much oil in the car which caused damages to my turbo engines and burned the seals and that is why oil won't stay in. I had hoped that they would take responsibility for their actions, but unfortunately, it's the opposite. I am now dealing with Fleet Response, and this company is extremely unprofessional and never calls back. They come up with every possible excuse when it comes to the repairs for my car. First, they claimed that they don't drain the oil from the drain plug, and now they are asking for oil blowback pictures with no oil in the car. I want to point out that I'm not saying all the technicians are bad, because the manager, Derrick, has been very helpful throughout this situation. However, Thomas could use some extra training, and Fleet Response needs to do a better job at responding. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper! read more

DO NOT come here for an inspection! It's very clear due to all the signage on the walls they want you to buy windshield wipers from them. I wanted to get an inspection done with my oil change and the gentleman failed me for my wipers leaving streaks, which they were not. I said ok let's change them, however the wipers they put on were streaking ten times worse than mine did. I only come to this location because of the discount for veterans, and since they will not pass you for an inspection unless you buy wipers from them I will never come back, this is shady business practice. read more

Got here at 8:30 and let them know I was here for and oil change. I was routed to the outside lane, and was the second car in line for service. 45 minutes later upon completion of the vehicle in front of me, I pulled up and they plugged up a cord to my car, he asked for my insurance. He assumed I needed an inspection when clearly my tag read 6/21!!! I kindly reminded him I was there for an oil change. He unplugged my car and proceeded to the next lane to assist with another car. He didn't communicate that he'd be back, that someone would be with me shortly - nada. There I sat playing words with friends for 15 minutes and still, no one serviced me!! A little pricier than I've paid for an oil change before, but they actually checked my air filter and offered a replacement, Topped off my fluids and checked my tire pressure on all 4 tires. Had an issues with an unethical State Inspector at a store in Humble. The guy started my inspection then halfway through he came in and told me that I needed new wipers (which I knew that was not the case cause I had bought the current wipers 8 months ago), and I told him that my wipers were good and that they weren't that old. But just for information, I asked how much were the wipers he was trying to sell me and he replied with $30 each. These days everyone is watching out for unnecessary spending and I am no exception. I told him no thank you and nonchalantly, he replied ok. He went to finish up and came back and politely asked how I was paying and I replied "with a credit card" and he took my payment. After printing the receipts, he handed me the paper work with a smile and stated, "by the way, IT FAILED!" I asked him why and he said cause of the wipers. I was angry but got in my vehicle and drove down the street to another inspector and asked if they would check my wipers (without mentioning my experience at Take 5). Two inspectors inspected my wipers and they both told me that my wipers were not brand new but they are good. I proceeded to tell them (after they looked at my wipers) that a guy at Take 5 failed my state inspection cause of my wipers. They were both in surprised as I was when it first happened. They told me to go and tell the guy that two inspectors looked at my blades and said they were good so to please pass my test or to give me my money back and that was what I did. There was no budge in Take 5 Inspector, probably due to pride, he refused and said he could call it how he wanted to and that he was failing my test. This in so many ways is very unprofessional and unethical behavior from an inspector with that type of authority. Especially when I called another Take 5 store Saturday when getting home and telling that person what had happened. That person responding, "first of all, we have wiper blades that cost $16.99", I immediately knew that there was something very wrong with perhaps not Take 5 as a company, but that person running that store that day. read more

I waited 2 hours for an inspection & oil change. Although they were wonderful and polite, I drove off and heard a horrible screeching noise. Pulled over to check, and the entire bottom of my car was off. I can't believe this happened, this is totally irresponsible of the people who did my inspection. Polite yet CARELESS staff! This review is for Nathan and Tanner at Take 5 Oil Change at the 8001 FM 1960 location, they took care of me so well today I had to leave an honest and positive review to show my gratitude. Brought my car in for inspection today but since there was a line (nothing too crazy), I parked in the parking spot and had the pleasure of speaking to Tanner for what I needed done. Unfortunately I shut my car off while waiting and could not get it started to get in line, so while I was trying to get it to start up and getting frustrated because it was hot, either Tanner or Nathan noticed, Nathan came by to help me, walked me into the lobby so I wasn't out in the heat, and told me he would check and see if he could get it started and inspected. I don't want to make this review too long, but Nathan did a wonderful job calming my nerves by speaking to me in a calm, professional manner. He was able to get my car started and did exactly what I came there for, it passed inspection. Both Tanner and Nathan were very thorough, listened well, and communicated well. Waited for 10-15 mins in line like a normal customer when a car pulls up in the line next to me i then hear a tech tell another tech "she's gonna leave cause we're busy" they proceed to back me up and let her cut me in line telling me "I'll take care of you" they take care of people by letting their preferred customers cut in line and making people who used to regularly have maintenance done there wait an extra 10 mins for no apparent reason and cause them to reconsider where they get their next oil change done at. read more

This place is always on point. The workers have a good time working together and don't have that sour "I hate my job" attitude. The value is great because of the additional things they top off and refill such as washer fluid, as well as air in your tires. They also replace engine air filters and wiper blades as needed! First time here. Thought I'd check it out. I came to get an inspection. From the get go I had a feeling this might be a rough ride when they said my Mobile ID card wasn't a valid form of insurance. Next When the service takes my truck to test it; he takes off like speed racer over the parking lot speed bumps then zooms down 1960. I not sure exactly of all the rules, but I would think going into street is a liability. I know they have to check brakes and all but you can do that without leaving parking lot. Then when he pulls in and starts to test car, tells me lights looked a little dim and wiper blades need replaced to pass and they have some her for $40. No thank you! Everyone I've spoken with here has been absolutely wonderful; they make sure you know what they're doing and do their best to make sure you have a quick and pleasant experience. I had taken both my cars to Bishop's Kwik Kar Lube for 2 years, oil changes both cars and major repair on one. I had established a trust with one of the technicians working on my 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T, Convertible. He had done some major repairs the year before and I was satisfied. Early this year I had another mechanical issue, called my insurance to tow car to Bishop's. The tow truck company was incompetent which then caused another huge mechanical issue. Another tow truck company was called, and towed car to Bishops. I spoke to mechanic/technician that had always worked on my car, explained the situation and that I now had to claim against tow truck company's insurance for damage to my vehicle. He understood it would take a few weeks to get it straightened out and in the mean time, he could look at my original issue. Unbeknowntome...Apparently the mechanic never discussed my car wth Bishop, or Manager ??..according to them..the shop. And for unknown reason mechanic was fired during the 2 weeks my car was at shop. So after firing mechanic who was the "ONLY person" (so shop claims)who knew about my car and situation was fired...according to shop my car was an unknown and abandoned, though it had been there for repairs before, inspections etc. and other mechanics knew me and absolutely knew my car bc they all loved it! Trying to be proactive and be reassured that my car was fine..I had spoken to mechanic the day before he was fired and at that time had reassured me my car was fine and not to worry and they would wait for insurance company for green light to continue fixing my car. The shop never, though the said they did...tried to contact me. Nope, they did not. My cell has no record of their calls and my home phone had 0 messages or no caller ID from this shop, ever! The only call was from the mechanic from his private # assuring me my car was in good hands, the week before he was fired. So bc, according to them, my car was abandoned..again no communication whatsoever from this shop, to me! My car was towed to a yard!! Luckily I called the shop to talk to the mechanic to let him know adjuster was going to inspect car..and that is when I was told mechanic had been fired and my car had been taken away. I couldn't believe it! My blood ran cold! The manager I spoke to the day I called was apologetic at first bc he knew me from previous visits and assured me they would get my car back, have the adjuster inspect it and would begin work on it. And..that they would tow my car back at their expense. When the adjuster went first to the yard where my car had been taken to, he then went to Bishops to discuss arrangements to get my car towed back to shop, being that it was the shops failure of employee and management communication. Bishop spoke to adjuster, and flat out told him the shop was not responsible for the employee or what the employee had said or done. He told adjuster they would not tow car back to shop, IT had been too much of a problem and did not want my business! They were not responsible for my car being towed to yard, that I would have to pay tow fees and yard fees! That I could take my business elsewhere! The adjuster, who was the adjuster for the initial tow truck company (NOT MY insurance company's)that messed up my electrical, earlier in my story, was appalled at his attitude and lack of taking any responsibility for his shop or employee. The adjuster, who was wonderful and kind, advised that even if he had convinced Bishop, which he tried to do, to fix my car, that I take my business somewhere bc the trust factor was nil. So, ultimately due to their incompetence and 0 communication between employee or customer (me!) I was out an extra $600..not counting my original mechanical issues. Plain and simple..Bad service, bad attitude! No way to run a business! read more

Bishop's was reccomended from the local auto parts store since the local store wouldn't change out my battery and I was in desperate need. I called Bishop's and they said they would and on a Sunday!! Service was excellent!! George worked diligently and was exceptionally courteous!! I will definitely be back!!! read more

I give a 1 Star because that's the lowest rating but zero is more appropriate. Their prices are not what they advertise and once they get you in the door they upsale you on crap you don't need. Knowing this I previously say no and did again today but they did more than I authorized so my $50 oil change cost me $110. I argued with them but they would not remove the extra fuel services which is not part of an oil change. Don't go there and I'm going back to the Toyota dealership next time. I came here yesterday to get my car inspected. I could tel they were busy so I waited at the desk patiently, a lady came in behind me her car was done and she had to pay. I let her go in front of me because she was almost done, I said nothing to the man because I didn't want to be rude. A lady came in behind me and stood in line behind me, he immediately acknowledged her and asked her what she needed all while completely ignoring me the entire time. I'm giving them 2 stars because they did what I came here for - which was an oil change. The customer service was non existent. No one ever came and showed me my filters or asked me what type of oil I wanted. Luckily I went out to the garage before they put the wrong type of oil in. It took a while and there was no complimentary vacuum or wiping down of my windows like at most quick oil change places. I was really disappointed with the service. Very disappointing for a long time loyal customer. 8 years and 3 vehicles we have been going to Bishops for EVERY oil change and regular maintenance. I had them change a belt on my Toyota 4 runner, the mechanic drew the pattern on a scrap piece of cardboard and told me the pattern shown inside the hood is not correct. Well he threaded it wrong, causing at least $600 worth of damage... could be more. (truck is still in the shop) my husband asked the manager to fix what was damaged. The response we got was it could not be under warranty because we brought our own belt in. It was new in the package and we bought it the same parts store they buy from..Bisops knew it was the correct belt! UNREAL! You would think a local business would care for their loyal customers.
