Went to Take 5 today (Wednesday around 1:30 PM) not even lunch hour, so there's no excuse to be…read moreshort-staffed. I was greeted nicely and offered water, and they said the wait would be about 30 minutes. I was next in line, so I figured that was fair. After 45 minutes, I decided to leave. The same car in front of me had been there the entire time, and I realized even if they called me in right then, I'd be waiting another 45 minutes for an oil change. The tech inside was bouncing back and forth between bays trying to juggle multiple cars at once. No place called "Take 5" should take 45+ minutes for a basic oil change. This isn't on the techs, they looked frustrated, overworked, and miserable. Whoever manages this place needs to hire more people or cut down to one bay, because what's happening now is just poor management. Safe to say I won't be coming back.

Offered to give a 35% Discount over the phone for trying out Take 5 for the first time. Decided to…read moregive This Location a try. On the Phone, I Was Told Not to open the Text until arriving. I arrived and opened the text and did Not receive any coupon or Discount Amount, But the Guy at the Shop said to Not worry, he'll give the discount anyway. That was Not true. Service was okay, but I could've gotten an oil change anywhere else that follows through with what they Offered. Last but Not Least, after the Oil Change I drove straight to work, some of My days are tight. Right After the shift this same day, I turned my car on, and Now the Engine light comes on! I do remember the young fellas and gals were pretty sloppy with the oil pouring and even overflowing on the Washer fluid, I wonder now if I just need to get the Oxygen Sensor cleaned out, or if something ended up spilling on a different plug or wire that now needs to be replaced, which sadly isn't as cheap as an oil change. Oil is still fresh on the top of the engine cover... which is weird because the guy was holding a Nice Sized Funnel... but I'm glad I was standing outside the car behind them watching them do it, just disappointed I have to spend More money even on top of their Non-discounted First time experience. I don't think I'll ever want to visit a Take 5 again, nor would I Recommend to anyone who needs an oil change. Friendly workers, but Scary service.

I stopped in to this location to have the brakes checked on my truck. She (the truck) has a lot of…read moremiles and I figured I should at least have them looked at. The lady running the counter was super nice! She (the lady) let me know they could get her (my truck) in right away and have them (the techs) take a look at said brakes. Nice little waiting room with a snack machine, coffee bar, sugary slushy drink machine, and some other amenities while you wait. I didn't look at the magazine selection but am 99.7% sure "Car and Driver" was there. After about 20 minutes, they (the techs) came and got her (the lady at the counter) and came to tell me (the author) that she (the truck) was just fine and didn't need brakes. I appreciated the honesty, They (the techs and lady) could have sold me (the author) a compete brake job for her (the truck) and I (self explanatory) wouldn't have been the wiser. Rest assured that when I (me) needs brakes on her (the truck) I will go see them (the lady and the techs) to have it done.

I bought a used car in Idaho (where I live). Took it to Big O in Boise had tires put on and some…read morework done. Drove it to Utah to give as a gift to my granddaughter for graduation/18th birthday. A couple weeks later, she called me saying she had an oil leak and her check engine light came on. I told her see if she could go to Big O near her and perhaps they could put the work on my Big O credit account. They did some checking and a smoke test and had her come back. They said she needed a new oil pan gasket. Although the car had passed their smoke test, they said they were $99% sure it needed replacement clips somewhere in the solenoid. $900+ charged to my card and off she went. A week and a half later, she called me distressed. The car was having problems starting, the check engine light was back on and throwing the same code, there was no oil in the car, and she was stranded in another town. She had to get a tow. I told her to go back to big o, and that they would check their work and see what was going on. She made an appointment, went down there, and first of all, they were too busy to look at her car even after making the appointment. Secondly they gave her a bunch of mumbo jumbo about how this that and the other and basically sent her on her way without any help. Although I urge her to go back again, she is a quiet polite young lady, and wasn't comfortable with a confrontation. I called Big O corporate and was going to file a claim, except they need a lot of details, and I've decided not to put my granddaughter under any more stress. I will absorb the $1,000 charge. But I will never recommend anyone go to that store to have actual work done. Tires? Sure. Basic oil change? Maybe. But I feel they took advantage of an 18-year-old girl whose new to driving, and her grandmother in another state with a credit limit. Shame on them.
