Gotta say Tait's is one of my favorite places in Brockville. Friendly staff. Great selection of fresh breads Awesome breakfast massive sandwiches Fattening pastries Friendly clientelle Cozy What more can you ask for

Half of one of their awesome subs, topped traditionally.

Great place for lunch. I love their subs, all made to order on their fresh sub buns at the deli counter. They're reasonably priced, delicious, fresh and huge! My mother and I can split one with a drink each for less than 15$ for the two of us and be completely full. The staff has always been great and they also have a great selection of pastries and desserts.

    Donut and teas. Delicious!

Tait's is a classic classy joint. Come early enough to get their meat pies. Their savory dishes fresh or in their fridge are recommended

Great sandwiches, good prices. Smoked meat tasted amazing. Go-to sandwich spot in Brockville.

This little cafe serves lunch to the local community. We caught the lunch hour here in a weekday,…read moreand it does get some foot traffic, but they've got only 2 tables, so be aware of that. It's a tiny space, in the basement of a building, accessible via ramp or stairs at the side of the building. The shop is cutely decorated with funny sayings on signs next to the seating area. They offer a few varieties of lunch specials, like a whole or a half sandwich with beverage and 2 cookies, and three different types of bread. I ordered the half sandwich (egg salad on 12 grain bread), with a s'mores cookie and a turtle cookie, which were great. The coffee was so so. It's convenient but they've got competition in the vicinity.

Very disappointed in this location. He asked to see the dogs official ID card, which I informed him does not exist in this country. He said he would get in trouble with the health agency. I let him know that as a "medical dog" she has accompanied me to restaurants, hospitals, grocery store and so long as she wears her vest and acts accordingly it's not supposed to be an issue. The only thing that would have satisfied him was a copy of my medical record, which I could have produced, but with his approach in general, condescending tone and general unfriendliness - Since he exercised his believed right to deny us access, I decided that instead of producing a copy of my medical record, I would exercise my right to spend my $ elsewhere. In doing so I discovered a place called Tait's Bakery. Not only did they serve us, let us stay in and awesome service, they were not surprised to hear of my encounter at this location. So encourage you to go elsewhere for service!

Popped in on Friday for the first time with my partner. The place smelled amazing. I have a bit of…read morea sweet tooth and couldn't decide what I wanted. The staff were so nice. We picked out several items to bring home: a scone, lemon cupcake, chocolate cupcake, a chocolate raspberry parfait, a raspberry bomb, and a brownie with peanut butter icing. We also both each got a smoothie, one blueberry, honey, Greek yogurt and a strawberry banana. Unbeatable flavor with the smoothies. So many different ingredients and the price was very reasonable! The treats were so very good. The peanut butter icing on the brownie was a little too sweet for my taste but omg still so tasty. The raspberry in the parfait was also too sweet (for our taste) but again, the flavor was SO good. I could not believe how tasty all these things were. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for something sweet and gluten free. It's so hard to get a really good gluten free treats around here and this is the place you can get them! This is my new favorite bakery! Also.. LGBT+ love and inclusion. They also do lunch items that I haven't gotten to try yet, but such a reall, REALLY tasty looking menu for those. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more items!

The staff were friendly enough, but never asked how my food was so I didn't tell them. I feel very disappointed in my experience here. They have a large selection of nachos so I tried them. Weirdly enough it's all chicken based but honestly, it felt like a 10-year-old made my nachos. Almost no meat of the affirmed frozen reheated variety- and it wasn't what the young staff said it was. She said it was "grilled chicken breast cut up." It was a breaded frozen patty and not much of it too. A handful of shredded cheese un-melted from its quick pass in the microwave hiding under a whole bunch of wet iceberg lettuce and one or two small pieces of jalapeños. This was really just a suggestion of nachos. But for $15, I would've expected something more quality. Perhaps if I had gotten a coffee and a pastry and played a board game this place would've been the bees knees. I would not suggest it unless it's the only thing open which on this Sunday in Potsdam, which it was. Update: I just read the other reviews for this place. I should've read them prior to coming as I would have looked elsewhere. They really should do better. It could be a wonderful spot. The menu is extensive. If you can't prepare a lot of food well, don't. Try preparing smaller menu VERY WELL. IMHO UPDATE 2: I had upset stomach all afternoon and evening within an hour of eating here

Awful nachos. This is what was left uneaten for $15.
