Shawna was friendly, explained to me grooming options (I was caring for a dog not my own), and able to do everything in her rig parked in the driveway. My dog came back smelling beautiful, looking sharp and was happy and playful after. I WILL look to Shawna again for grooming if I have a dog in my care and I look forward to telling others about her services!

(anyone who knows me knows I dont hand out recommendations or brag about people freely. You have to EARN it with me. Ask Monika she will tell you. ;))Even your perfectly seeming pup is in need of a checkup to prevent things from going astray later in life. They are truly amazing everyone of them I can't count the number of people I have referred here that have also been incredibly happy. Many of them have avoided major orthopaedic surgeries because of the care and rehab they received. Myself, my mom, my godson and a good friend to name 4. I have been using them regularly for about 2.5 years and can not say enough good. Tyson loves his Aunty Laurie and before her he had Margaret who was also wonderful. Laurie goes so far above and beyond it is unbelievable(as did Margaret in the short time she cared for him), I know only one other pet care giver who could be Laurie's equal in the caring department and coincidently she referred me to him and he saved my guys life a year ago!! So we are thankful for Aunty Laurie in more then just her orthopaedic knowledge/skill. She will probably kill me this week when we see her but I have even got videos in pjs late on Friday nights that she has gone to the kitchen with her dog and husband to make for me because she was concerned about my complicated little buddy and wanted me to try some things that were easier shown then explained. That is just a very very small part of the ways she has gone above and beyond and well I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the picture. GIVE YOUR PETS THE CARE THEY DESERVE AND TRY THEM OUT!!! Their knowledge in orthopaedics and the care they will give your pets will not be matched anywhere ever!! They are a world class facility and we have them right here in our city!! Tyson and I are thankful everyday and very grateful we found them when we did!!

Other than the emails I've attached below, I've experienced: Wanting to change appointments the day before I'm suppose to be there for one two weeks later for no good reason; tried to talk me into a lesser product knowing full well I would have to purchase the brace I really needed anyway; quote one price but then ask for a different amount, LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY! a Complete lack of professionalism and finally, a lack in confidentiality as my business was discussed with other customers without my consent. This is why: (My actual email) From: nicole bonin Sent: Thursday, July 07, 2016 8:19 AM To: Canine Fitness Centre Subject: Re: A Trac brace info "Hello, I was wondering if you have any updated information regarding rios brace? It's only been like 3 weeks since we ordered it, but I was just wondering. If you could let me know if you have any information. Thanks," (end of first email) Five (5) days later, the response I receive back from Canine Fitness: "Hi Nikki, We have tracked down the progress of your brace, and unfortunately there was a Canada Post delay due to the unrest in the union there. So as it turns out, Canada post failed to deliver the brace cast for some time and as a result the cast was received at the fabricator's on the 6th of July. So they have only had it for 6 days. We are working with the fabricator to arrange an alternate carrier to get the completed brace back to use so that we are not depending on Canada Post at this time. We'll keep you updated." Monika The Canine Fitness Centre (end of the second actual email) Now, my actual email in response to Canine Fitness absoulty blaming their inefficiencies on someone else incompetence- " Wow. Rio is getting worse by the day. This is extremely unfortunate. Why was the item not tracked and this issue resolved earlier? How did this sit somewhere for an extended period of time and no one notice? This is unacceptable. Yes, please keep me posted. I am relocating soon for school and I need that brace before I go. I'd like you to use Canada post and track the movement, as there is no stoppage in work- as they are in my neighbourhood everyday, and another courier is bringing me a different parcel, and I've been waiting for two weeks longer than it was suppose to be." - end of email. When I called and spoke to monika I was enformed the only person with access to the tracking numbers had gone on vacation. For at least two weeks. This business accepted no blame, offered no remediation- nothing. They are unprofessional. In their opinion, they are not to be held accountable for their lack of customer service or customer satisfaction- which they have none. I was also informed by monika that even tho I clearly pointed out it was not a Canada PoSt issue and in fact a Canine fitness issue, and that they were to use Canada post of purolator- and to use the actual tracking number they provide daily to track my brace once it was finally completed, she replied they still would not be. Do not use this business for your K9 needs. They could two shits about you once they have your money. I also called the company. Told them what had happened. Suggested they find a new competant partner in Calgary.

The owner, May, came highly recommended to me by a friend. It was our puppy's first time at a…read moregroomer's, and May ensured his visit was a positive one. She kept him for three hours to ease him into the routine. I'm not sure why, but my dog's hair prior to visiting May was matted. His fur starting growing massively, and it out of control. As a result, May has to cut off his beard, around his ears, and a couple of other problem areas where it was matted. We bought a new brush from May (good price too), to prevent this from happening again. Our puppy was washed, teddy bear cut, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, bum tided up, and with tip and tax, it came up to about $70. Since our dog was a puppy, May gave us a discount, which was much appreciated. I think for more basic services (no fancy haircut), the price is cheaper.

We, specifically, requested the dogs have their nails both trimmed and dremeled. The nails were not dremeled, nor were they groomed well. We noticed within a day that our daily brushing was still removing hand fulls of hair. Clearly an indication that the dogs were not thoroughly groomed. We dropped the dogs off at their 1:00pm scheduled appointment and were told that they would call us around 4:00. As we didn't receive a call we called and were told the dogs would be ready at 4:30. When we arrived we were told 10 more minutes. By no means did we rush them and we, patiently, waited in our vehicles for 15 minute to lessen the chaos inside. We are, extremely, disappointed with the service and the response we received. A, total, lack of accountability on the business.

I quickly learned that Donia is a very remarkable person who offers more than just her board and train services. It's also great to note that she offers these services in her own home which means she spends a lot of time with each of the pets that she takes in. When we first met with Donia, she explained her services and based on our training needs recommended a two week board and train for our 14 months old boxer. BONUS: She also owns boxers and understands their boxer-isms! We were a bit hesitant and worry-some to leave our pup with someone and we were always curious as to his going-on's. But Donia was awesome at keeping her facebook page updated with pictures and updates on to his training status. She also sent check-in emails which put our minds at ease. Once he was done his training, we immediately saw a change in his behaviours and definitely picked up on the new things he had learned with her. We did find a need for additional training on his crating but Donia was quick to offer assistance and tips for us. She has been a great resource for us and we are glad to have met her. We will definitely use her services again as she has become an important part of our family.

My recent experience with the reception staff and the Veterinarians confirmed my approval of this clinic. The front staff is always pleasent, the other staff always come and say "hi", giving my pup a good scratch. They have pictures up on the walls of the staff with their pets, it reassures you that they are owners too, that they love animals. There is always at least 2 dogs behind the front desk, a cat here and there. The check-up rooms are always clean. The Doctors are always thourough and talk with you about your dog, not just at you. When I had my dog nuetered I knew that he would be taken care of. He loves people and they took an interest in him, which I am sure they do with all the animals coming though there. We had no issues with his surgery, the incision looked great and healed well. Their prices for visits and shots are reasonable. The nutering was quite pricey, but we did pull out all the stops, like extra pain meds, the infamous "cone" and a microchip. They have a wall of toys for pets, as well as an extensive stock of Doctor recommended foods. I have been nothing but pleased with their treatment of my pup and their friendliness to me. I have been going to Shampooch for years and have been very happy with the results until this time…read more I brought my dog in for a haircut and it ended up with her in extreme pain for a week. She was groomed down to the skin on her belly and between her legs making it very painful to walk. Took her to the vet where I was told she either had severe razor burn or an infection due to improper sterilization of the clippers. I left the vet with painkillers and a numbing Mousse. Tried for a couple days to reach anyone at the Shampooch shop but the phone was not answered. After about 5 days I got a hold of the Owner Jessie who told me that he would get back to me after he spoke to the groomer. When he called me back he said that the groomer did nothing wrong and that was the end of it. So basically I was told that my dog's pain and $300 vet bill was not his issue. I came to Shampooch because of the former owner Cheryl who was a fantastic person who truly loved animals and only hired the best groomers. After spending a week looking into my best friend's eyes and seeing the pain in them I will not be coming back to Shampooch and if you care about your furry child you should not as well. The majority of the 5star reviews were for the previous owner, this shop has changed

I asked him if that was the case, he confirmed it.
