Great location, clean, organized and perfect for meetings. We used the boardroom and it was exactly what we needed. Thank you!

Fox Point Farms is a super unique farm-style hangout that blends nature, activities, and a small…read morebrewery experience all in one spot. Pros: This place has such a fun and refreshing vibe very outdoorsy, peaceful, and almost like a little escape from the usual city spots. It feels like you're on a farm (because you are), which makes the whole experience really different and memorable. There's a brewery on-site with a good variety of beers, and I liked that some of them had Japanese-inspired flavors it made the selection feel more unique than your typical brewery. We also did the farm ride, which was $15 per adult, and honestly it was a really fun experience. It's definitely more geared toward kids (the little tractors are tiny haha), but it was still enjoyable getting to ride through the farm, learn about everything, and then interact with the animals. Being able to pet horses and chickens was such a cool touch and made it feel very wholesome. Parking is free, which is always a plus. It's more of a make-your-own-spot situation on a dusty lot, but it wasn't too bad overall we were still able to find a space without too much trouble. Cons: The parking setup can be a little tricky, especially if you have a bigger car like an SUV since you kind of have to squeeze into spaces. Also, the farm ride is definitely more kid-oriented, so just keep that in mind if you're expecting something more adult-focused. I also wish the brewery operated more like a full bar setting, but it was still nice to try the beers. Verdict: If you're looking for something different and a little more interactive, this is a really fun spot to check out. It's great for a casual day outdoors, especially if you want a mix of activities, animals, and drinks. I'd definitely come back and would be interested in trying the restaurant there next time!

FOX POINT FARMS @ ENCINITAS…read more Parking here is a bit unique, it's a free, open gravel lot with no marked spaces, so you kind of create your own spot. It can be a little tricky to maneuver, especially with a larger car like an SUV. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy. It filled up quickly, but I was still able to squeeze into a spot with a little patience. The whole space has a farm-style setup, with most things located outdoors. There's a brewery, a restaurant upstairs, and a small market all within the same area. I came specifically to check out the farm and the tractor ride. My boyfriend and I caught the 2:30 PM ride, and while it was a fun experience, it's definitely geared more toward kids. Adults can ride too, but since most of the group was children and families, it felt a little out of place. That said, it was still enjoyable we learned a bit about the farm and even got to interact with some of the animals like horses and chickens. The brewery wasn't quite what I expected. While there's a large building labeled as a brewery, it's not open to walk through or explore. Instead, it operates more like an outdoor stand, and you can also grab drinks from inside the market. I was a bit disappointed since I was hoping for a more immersive brewery experience, especially since my boyfriend is really into that scene. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the restaurant upstairs because it closes on Sundays from 1:30 PM to 4 PM, we arrived right in that window.

It felt intimate but spacious, with lots of options on where to hang out during the event. This place is a gem - so many people kept asking, "How did you find this place?!" We're so glad we did! We went with the barbecue dinner buffet option and folks were raving about it. There was more than enough to go around with lots of people getting seconds. We also opted for the flatbread pizza option during cocktail hour and did NOT regret it. The venue is already so gorgeous with all the lush greenery and flowers. We added lots of our own touches like Mexican flags, cacti on tables, table runners, etc. It was so much fun to be able to dress up the venue to reflect our personalities. Emily has the venue running like a well oiled machine. She's super easy to work with and patient. I'm so, so glad we found Slate Barn and Gardens for our wedding.

Contact Emily and her team now because the perfect spot to say I Do is right here. We looked at 4 maybe 5 local san diego venues and all of them were missing one must need list item on our wish list. We wanted an all included, open bar with beer/wine/and liquor, and for the space to feel intimate. We found all these checklist items with The Slate Barn & Gardens. Our day was beyond beautiful we want to relive it! Ok some details for you brides to be and grooms to be: Emily and her team are so accommodating from start to finish. She handles everything from table set up and venue prep to the center pieces. They have a great selection of candle holders, decor items and linen colors for everyones style. There is a brides suite on the grounds, sorry guys you'll have to chill somewhere else. Its cozy and fit all 9 of us girls in it! THE FOOD. Everyone is still talking about how great the food was. We were so happy with all the different menu options, we were able to accommodate all different types of diets in one swoop. Emily plans all of the venue side of the day, all you bring in your drinks, a DJ and florals. We had the best vendors make our day come to life. We can not thank the crew enough for making our experience a stress free and amazing experience. THANK YOU!

But come wedding day everyone was MIA and not answering their phone except the head gunnery sergeant. The front gate wouldn't let my florists, cake people, and day planner in. Our entire wedding party couldn't even get in because the lady who was supposed to be at the gate with the guest list 2 hours before the wedding, didn't show up til' 1 hour before start time. As a bride and groom getting calls about our people not getting in from everyone, was extremely stressful. If you, your guests, and vendors are not ALL currently in the military or military sponsors DO NOT have your event here especially if you have 100 plus people. My wedding was absolutely beautiful, the food was delish, and everyone had a great time. But the amount of stress we had to go through the DAY OF was unheard of. Get the extra $10k and go have it at oceanfront hotels down the road. It's worth your sanity trust me.

It is a beautifully situated venue that offers the opportunity to have a huge wedding at a reasonable price . They provide the food, tables and chairs , and linens . you will be responsible for decorations, cake, flowers, etc. (They do have a list of vendors) Just be aware that since it's on the grounds of a military base all of your guest must pass a background check which requires them to submit their real ID or passport. This may or may not eliminate some of your guest as they must be US citizens or in possession of a green card. It also provides the opportunity for a lot of misunderstanding at the front gate so tell everyone to come early and be prepared to be patient, just in case the list has not been given to the front gate and things have to be sorted out, has happened in our case. Setting those concerns aside, it really is a beautiful venue and the food was really good. A couple of the servers had bad attitudes, but the management is really accommodating so it kind of all comes out in the wash.If I had to do it again, I'd probably just pay the extra money (about double the price) and book an all inclusive venue to eliminate some of the headaches that we endured, as I did with my younger daughters wedding, but if you have a good wedding planner a lot of problems can be avoided . All in all it was a beautiful wedding and everyone had a great time. So if you want a fabulous wedding at a budget price this is your place
