The women listened to what we wanted, looked at photos, and then replicated it the best they could. Our hair was done in a short amount of time and then the two women helping us proceeded to give the remaining two girls beautiful hair styles. My friend also convinced me to get my makeup done for the wedding. As a disclaimer, I hate makeup and it hates me. I always feel like a dirty cat when wearing makeup and it just seems to weigh down my face. I found Kenzo through a quick Yelp search and chose it based on the pricing and proximity to my house. It was tough to find at first at the salon is actually up the stairs in side the building on the corner downtown. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by the receptionist and checked in to a bright, well kept space. My stylist, Liz, was very professional and kept great conversation the whole time - I could really tell she was passionate about her work. She was thoughtful in making her cuts and asked my preference for the blowout for my final product. I was pleased with the cut, a reshaping job she did to my hair. The session ended with a small gift bag with hair product samples, it was so cute. I was pleasantly surprised with the price as well - $52 for a cut and blow is the least I've spent on a salon appointment in years. It had been about a week an a half since my visit and I had received some unmarked mail at my apartment. When I opened it I was shocked to have received a handwritten thank you note from my stylist. Despite having an overall stellar experience before, this small gesture really solidified my positive experience ex Kenzo. The only problem was that I had to drive to Concord or further to find spray tanning, so again I stopped. Recently, I decided to check to see if there were local businesses that offer spray tanning, and I was happy to discover a couple right in Plymouth. I decided to go with Stella for two reasons. #1 - Their website showed that they have a professionally trained person, Kristen Gilmore, dedicated to their spray tanning service. And #2 - when I called and spoke with Kristen, she was able to easily answer all of my questions and was familiar with how to work with my freckles and skin tone. I am so happy that I went with Stella Hair Boutique. Kristen was super friendly, but also very professional. When I had to strip down for her to apply the tanning solution, her manner and positivity removed any awkwardness or embarrassment on my part.
