Been here twice for a massage and I plan on returning. This place was recommended by a friend…read more She didn't remember who gave her the massage, so I went on the website. They have a message section, so I sent a brief message explaining my situation and needs. My message was forwarded to their massage therapist, who could most likely help me. I got 1 hr massage from Carol Fields. Cost is $65/hr.
Pros
- Quality. K, dudes. I'm not the type of person who falls asleep easily, if at all, during a massage. Both times, I was close to falling asleep. That's how good and relaxing the quality of the massage is.
- She listens. Carol talked to me, before the massage, to ask where my problem areas are and what kind of pressure I would like. It's good and required for a masseuse to understand your body. Make sure you explain your situation, comforts, needs, etc. Every customer is different, so make sure they understand you.
- Respectful. Carol gave me time before and after to get ready. When I'm flipping over, she lifts the sheet to give some privacy.
- Good hygiene. Carol walks around bare foot, which is a good sign to me. That means this place actively cleans.
- Warm massage table. The massage table warms up to a comfortable temp, which is especially helpful when you're getting a message. It helps keep you comfortable and your muscles loose. Additionally, the massage table can be mechanically adjusted up or down, depending on your body position. That's good, especially for a massage, when the masseuse needs access.
Observations/Recommendations
- They're not inexpensive. Keep in mind, I've gotten 1 hr massages for $15 and then a $5 tip afterwards. Yea, I know. I'm spoiled! But this price is not exorbitant and the quality is excellent.
- You can pay via credit card, but it's one of those Apple programs. Additionally, be aware, that the program takes you directly to a tip section. I mention this, because the first options are 3 options pre-set tip amounts. You can choose, but of course, that takes more time and work. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just something to be aware of.
- Wear comfortable clothes. This is essential, especially since you have to get out and in of them before and after your session. The fact that I was so relaxed afterwards, meant I did not want to actively think about what to do with my clothes, other than putting them on. Haha...
Final Answer:
Good quality massage, worth it.
